Bump is starting to show so exciting, 12 weeks tomorrow!

Evening ladies,

Had my 12 weeks scan today. All looks great put forward also so now 12+4. Everything looked great. Placenta is covering my cervix at the moment but she said it has lots of time to move, so fingers crossed it does.
Back again in 4 weeks for another scan, they are monitoring closely as I have a form of spina bifida.

Eden the consultant said something to me today about bloods and vaccines as I am a Montessori teacher. I had a terrible headache at the time so have already forgotten. Will have to ask DH what she said again.
She also said I can have solpadeine for my migraines I have been really struggling.

Belly is also hard to hide. Think its just bloating at the moment - but didn't expect anything until 16/17 weeks!

Oh yes to the bloating. Living in stretchy, baggy things and not bothering to try to hold my tummy in when I'm at home makes it more comfy!

Had a good day today for energy and not feeling as sick! 10+4 so hope this is the start of feeling better but suspect its just a lull. Nevertheless, I'll take it.

Kep you've got the same scan date as me - I'll be 13 weeks by then! It's so far away and I'm getting impatient. X

Just checking in, 10 weeks with DC4 😳. Just feel so sick all the time, and can't think why I've done it to myself again!

And haven't put any weight on, but reaching for maternity Work skirt already...my uterus probably can't hack it anymore

Thanks everyone for the advice. Got myself confused with the prescription form rather than MAT1. Going to see if my doctors can do it.

Loving the pics, and congrats on the scans. Feeling super ick after a bad night, tiredness makes it worse and dd woke up at six with her daddy banging the front door on his way out to the airport... I'm flying solo for 48hrs and in my current state it's terrifying!!! I so miss all the wonderful things like free prescriptions and free dental care during pregnancy in the uk.... A bit sucky that I'm paying for all these pills out here, and doubly annoying that they're making me feel so cack!!

Anyone finding it really hard to clean their teeth without being sick? Thought the sickness was over but last night and this morning it has come back in full force.

Still haven't had any sickness except for a bit of feeling when I'm hungry but I keep getting headaches now which isn't great - generally towards the end of the day but today I've woken up with one. Boo.

I'm 11 weeks today and my belly is still looking pretty normal - maybe a tad bloated towards the end of the day but only if I look for it!

Booking is appointment is next Monday then scan the Monday after - I'm guessing it is going to get a lot more real after both of those!

Morning everyone! I can't believe how tired I was last night! I went to sleep around 9ish and got up at 8 😬 I must of needed the sleep.. has anyone else been sleeping a lot? Does the tiredness get better in the second trimester? I would love to get back to the gym but I just haven't got the energy after working all day x

amz I've been sleeping a lot more than usual. Usually get by on about 5-6 hours a night most of the week. These days I'm having at least 8 every night, and struggling to keep my eyes open 10mins after I wake up!!! I just don't have the energy to do anything!!
I had major tiredness in 1st trimester with DD too. It did get better. Not too sure when but roughly the 12 week mark. Got tired again right near the end but that was due to broken sleep etc and was nowhere near as bad as the 1st trimester fatigue!!!

1 week today it's my scan !! Can wait want to check everything is fine Ive known since Christmas Day !! I'll be 13+4 weeks !! I can't wait to tell people and my own 4 year old daughter !!
I feel surprisingly fine, just huge I'm paranoid it's twins :( I stupidly went on google last night and have scared myself! Silly!
I'm Amazed and don't want to tempt fate but I'm hardly feeling pregnant this 2nd time, I'm 38 this time and do a different job and have a just 4 year old so that's maybe why ! I hope this is a good pregnancy I hated being pregnant my first baby!

How lovely to start seeing all these gorgeous scan pics! Can't wait for mine (1 week on Monday...I feel like I'm almost counting down the minutes!)

We'll be telling people once we get the screening results. I've only told my best friend so far, saw her on Monday and she asked if I had any news for her. She knows we've been trying and that we had a MC in December, so was really excited for us. She's also someone I would tell if it went wrong, so happy to tell her..it was so lovely to be able to get excited with someone.

I think my 4 year old is starting to twig something's up, he knows mummy's tummy is bigger (fat and bloat I think more than baby!) and has been talking about a baby brother or sister since last summer!

10+5 today

Amz I'm also much more tired than normal, I think it's pretty common in the 1st trimester, I remember being wiped out when I was pregnant with DD too but it did get better in the 2nd trimester so the light is at the end of the tunnel.

Scan went well this morning, measuring 10+5 could see its little arms...It's looking so much more like a baby now! Consultant was very reassuring that now the mc risk is less than 1% so starting to feel more positive that we will end up with a baby at the end of this pregnancy!

I'm not really showing much although some of my work clothes are starting to get a bit tight around the middle particularly at the end to the day when I've been stuffing my face all day! When will the constant hunger end!?!

Frilly I am still laughing so hard, bless our better halves!

We seem to have swapped roles in our relationship, I am the complete worrier now and normally so relaxed. Come our scan on Tuesday (@12w) if all is well, I think I can calm down a bit.

We haven't had early scan at all, so this will be our first.

Anyone planning any funny/elaborate ways of telling people?

I'm in a bit of a state tho as I've just got a call from my MW saying my bloods for the antibody test has come up inclusive! I know I'm jumping the gun as it might not be anything but still can't help myself.. has anyone had this or had a positive result for a antibody test? X

My booking appointment was canceeled due to my midwife being taken to a+e!!
So it will be rescheduled.
Im getting in the shit at work as my reports arent as good as normal. Not telling them till ive seen in on the scan. Moral of the story take sick days. I plodded on on thurdsay so i thought and now thursdays reports arent good enough.
Im so hormonal i feel like quitting and getting an easy no stress job like dog walking pahaha. If only we could afford it

Got scan date through today. Tuesday 14th March. Feels like a lifetime away!! I'll be 12+3 going by my early scan.

whitelily I think we are going to get my parents round for lunch one day when we're ready to tell everyone, and facetime DH's parents who live a way away...going to keep it to family and close friend initially. But I'm going to try and book a private gender scan on mother's day and we'll make a bigger announcement then.

DH has bought "pregnancy for dummies" he wants us sat in bed, him reading that, me dipping gherkins in nutella or similar crazy craving and DS sat in the middle holding a pink/blue babygrow! Not sure if we'll do it, but I like the idea

Hi all 😀 great bump pic. i am 8 + 5 today. Had massive wobble yesterday but bit better today. I weighed myself though and have pur on 3lbs is that bad?? I have to eat so i don't puke (or jump) really debating some mat jeans. Have an event next week and i cant bare thought of sitting in reg jeans 😕 is that bad? Scan in 3weeks....
