barnes - how about here? www.nursingbra-shop.co.uk/36G-nursing-bra.asp

savagehk · 11/02/2017 13:25

(I didn't see the point in buying maternity only bras, if I could also use them while bf later, but then my boobs don't grow as much as yours have - I've been lucky and have continued to wear my maternity/nursing bras even once I'd stopped bf as I liked them enough :) )

1004Rise · 11/02/2017 13:43

Barnes I'm totally with you on the boob size, not liking it at all I miss my 34 Cs. I've avoided going bra shopping again for exactly that reason, bought a couple of sports bra style ones which I found more comfortable than structured bras. My boobs seem to get in the way more too and they're so heavy!! I'm trying to reassure myself that at least I don't have stretch marks on them (yet) Confused

Barnes79 · 11/02/2017 13:52

1004 - the sports bras wouldn't fit either! Well, one did, but no room for growth at all so couldn't justify the cost (plus they only did it in black and I have to wear a white top for work).

I've just been sat at home trying not to cry about it. 😪

ClaireSunflower · 11/02/2017 14:31

barnes I found maternity bra shopping quite depressing too! Mine have stayed pretty much the same size but underwires were getting quite uncomfortable. I got 2 not so attractive but comfortable maternity/nursing bras from m&s which are good but I feel so frumpy wearing them! Although my boobs don't seem to have grown at all they have teeny tiny stretch marks underneath them which is strange and slightly upsetting. I'm hoping they will fade after the baby is born.

beanandturnip · 11/02/2017 15:32

I have had the opposite feelings with bras, with my previous 2 pregnancies I haven't needed new bras until after the birth. I am usually a 34A but this time I have grown to a 36C and for the first time in forever I feel like an actual woman 😊👍🏼 I have no underwire and the bras are not glamorous but I am happy as I have boobs. 🙈

We are in the process of selling our house, we have a third viewing today so hoping for an offer. So no nursery plans here yet. Loving seeing all of yours though.

My parents have been more fussy this time, but think that is due to pneumonia and We decided on no cervical stitch with this pregnancy and my dad thinks this is risky. As does mil. But all is looking ok.

I am allowed back to work on Monday after having 4 weeks off. I am nervous.

Has anybody got some nice plans for the weekend?

Adventuregame · 11/02/2017 16:48

I bought these bras before 12 weeks and still wearing them - very comfy !

Badgerbird · 11/02/2017 18:47

Nursery looks fab grow ;) def gonna get one of those stickers!

Sorry to hear about flat frustrations rustler, how annoying!

barnes its rubbish that you're having such a hard time with the boob growth Luv :( I hope you manage to find something comfortable and pretty!

I know what you mean about the boobs bean, I don't generally have much either so quite enjoying having bigger ones however they are rather wonky!

I finished my job of 10 yrs with my gorgeous twins end of last week so that was rather emotional Sad Job search is in full flow! Now on family holiday at forest holidays and just got back from Monkey World which was Amazing!! Smile

Hope everyone is enjoying their wknds CakeBrew

1004Rise · 11/02/2017 19:16

Aww badger that must have been hard leaving them, will you still keep in touch? At least you have a bit of holiday to distract you!

Lying in the bath now after taking the dogs for a walk, can't believe how much of my bump is no longer in the water Shock

I have those bras too adventure they are comfy!

WishIWasSleeping · 11/02/2017 19:17

Grow - that tree looks bloomin amazing! It must have taken forever!
I used to work for a sign writers so I know vinyl can be pretty tricky sometimes! If you ever need to take it off and it won't budge use a little heat, like a hairdryer or maybe hot water.

Rustler74 · 11/02/2017 19:35

Thanks for the bra tip! I'll have a look in M&S x
I'd just bought 5-6 bras last May in M&S which I miss now! I haven't expanded too much but I'm not sure about the shape.
Need to ikea this afternoon and came back with a

Standing lamp!
We were heading there with the OH to look at changing tables and wardrobes. OH needed to think about it, and I had wanted to buy a Poäng but OH was losing some of that patience (exhausted it basically) so we nearly left without anything. Luckily my powers of persuasion weren't quite so exhausted and I convinced him to get the chair and footstool. Just my luck but the cushions of both were not in stock! Shock
Glad we agreed on the lamp though. You really can't go to ikea and not buy anything, surely that's forbidden...
he did decide that he doesn't like the Hemnes day bed Confused so I'll need to find another solution.
It was quite nice to buy something for ourselves though!

teainbed · 11/02/2017 19:55

Rise same here, I will need to use some playdough soon to block the overflow just to make it a bit deeper! Love a bath.

Barnes79 · 11/02/2017 20:20

It's even more depressing when M&S don't go up to your bra size 😭

MrsJW15 · 11/02/2017 21:09

Grow that tree looks amazing!

I'm basically living in two bras, since I can't cope with underwire anymore. Could probably do with being measured again but I'm putting it off!

Flying home tomorrow and not looking forward to the cold. Contemplating getting up with the hubby for one last museum tomorrow or having a lie in!

Autumnsweater · 11/02/2017 21:20

Aw Barnes I'm sorry you feel like that Sad. What shop did you go to? I'm big boobed pre-pregnancy and I think some shops are rubbish for larger sizes and only do granny bras, try Bravissimo if possible they have some really pretty maternity/nursing bras in a good variety of sizes.

stationaryace · 11/02/2017 21:25

Went to dig out the link to the sports bras I bought (twin pack with one white and one black) and it turn out Tesco have stopped stocking them, so I must have got lucky in store. And I noticed today that the cups in my maternity swimsuit have gone awandering in the wash so must remember to adjust those before putting it on next time.

Barnes79 · 11/02/2017 22:08

Autumn - I went to Debenhams. Bravissimo isn't that local and is pricey if you have to buy at least two new bras every month or so....

coxsorangepippin · 11/02/2017 22:25

We've bought a second hand bugaboo bee, hurrah!

Mind you it will be sitting in the boot of the car for months until we clear out some cupboard space...

Will try tonic water for the restless legs! Am taking multivitamin so should be ok for iron etc.

Sah1987 · 11/02/2017 23:23

Have you all measured using the BOB method?
I went from a 42DD to a 38HH feel more supported plus have better range of bras.

Used to get fitted by m&s but they add 4 inches onto measurements.

I shop at brastop & simplybe as bras are better quality, look better & are cheaper, but that's just my opinion x

Rustler74 · 11/02/2017 23:24

In these times of boob expansion, is anyone also feeling the belly skin getting tighter? Kicks are felt more clearly and seen through my 'abdominal wall' than they were about a week ago. And yes, hurray for BH contractions! Hmm

Spam88 · 12/02/2017 00:20

Rustler sometimes the skin on my tummy is so tight it feels like it would tear if I moved too suddenly, and then sometimes it goes a bit squishy. Depends where baby is I guess?

growcookeat · 12/02/2017 08:01

Thanks all! Seeing as we have so little space in the nursery I'm pleased with the tree as a focal point. Smile

Spam I'm like you with the tummy skin - sometimes feels like baby is pushing right through the front but then I feel a big roll and they've obviously moved back. Definitely have a transverse baby this morning I can see kicks in both sides of my bump! I think I may need a support belt as it's getting heavy now too.

Do they do light control ones that are comfy to wear for long periods or are they all tight?

mrspage1985 · 12/02/2017 08:11

Anyone suffered from SPD? I think I have it coming on AngryAngry
I have booked a physio appt for tomorrow and hoping I have caught it early enough to sort.
Just wondering if anyone else had any tips that have worked for them? Xx

WishIWasSleeping · 12/02/2017 08:19

Grow - I found the bump support from boots comfortable enough to wear all day and they have breathable material so won't contribute to any moisture. Only found it in the last 2 weeks of pregnancy last time! - but I've already worn it this time if I'm feeling a fair bit achey. I think they were only about £8. Just had a quick look and can't find it at all on boots - but my white one looks just like this one!

jennymac31 · 12/02/2017 08:39

Sah1987 - apologies for being dense but what's the BOB method? It's just that I usually get measured at m&s so am now wondering if I should try somewhere else?
