Jenny it's this... in summary smaller band size, bigger cup.... not the way m&s do it http://thebetterbracampaign.blogspot.co.uk/p/fitting-advice.html?m=1

Theory is the support comes from the band so needs to be tighter and the cup bigger to stop it pulling material away from the band.

Rustler with you on the tight skin... feeling like it will tear is a good description *Grow
*
Also starting to "see" elbows or feet or a bum (not that I can tell which) so my bump seems to change shape a lot more. The movements I find most odd are when I think baby is kicking my back but it feels like an echo in a cave.... can't think of another way to describe it!

Been bargain hunting again....looking at second hand chicco next 2 me cots (have you seen the ridiculous price of the new version? I nearly had a heart attack!) There are more out there than I expected to find!! Smile

Teaspoon74 · 12/02/2017 11:11

Barnes good luck with the job hunting!

Adventure I bought those too around the same time (12w). Originally got for jughttimes as boob growth was fast and painful but actually wear them most if the time! Bit higher/ less cleavage than "normal" bras but so comfy!

Bean good luck with the viewings.

Claire I can totally empathise with the weirdness of coming to terms with all the changes we're going through (stretch marks etc) but I think we just need to accept that it's part of the process. And the payoff will be your gorgeous bubs in May!

Growcook and MissFab live the nurseries. We've finally started clearing out the spare room (OHs dressing room) ready for nursery furniture, coming 24/2. Can't wait!! Still trying to decide re wall art or not. V taken with the trees and stars and clouds.

Rustler - sending hugs!! Good luck with return to work and with the flat. BrewCake

Yup rise is right, there's a page on face book called Boob Or Bust.
I've managed to convert 18 friends, one who was wearing a 38A now in a 30F who was told by M&S she didn't really need a bra. She's got a lot more confidence now too.

I am waiting for a physio appointment - my hips are so sore at the moment x

Spam88 · 12/02/2017 11:26

mrspage nothing more to suggest than the NHS website really, but just take it as easy as possible. Avoid prolonged standing/walking if possible, try to sit properly (i have a habit of sitting with my legs curled up on the sofa which doesn't help matters), a pillow between your legs when you sleep and avoid anything involving standing on one leg (so sit down to get dressed etc). Also I have just well and truly embraced the waddle.

The physio gave me some exercises to do as well which seemed to help a little, and also advised trying heat or a cool pack, but I can't say that did anything for me.

growcookeat · 12/02/2017 12:10

Thanks wish. That looks just like the kind of thing I was after. Will order one I think.

28 week ladies we are now officially into the third trimester!!Confused

LouiseJayne23 · 12/02/2017 12:22

Hello everyone, new here so just joining in! Little boy due 24th May. Very envious of all the boob growth! Not just for the fact that I thought it might be the first and only time I actually got boobs, but for the genuine concerns that I won't have enough room / reserves to breastfeed! I'm a 32A and I am still pretty much exactly the same... although one has grown slightly, so not only are they still tiny, they're now odd too! I was hoping around this time they might have a bit of a growth spurt but no sign of that :(

savagehk · 12/02/2017 12:32

Louise welcome and I'm sure it'll be fine :) I'm usually 34B (although curious to try the new measurement!) and only tend to go up to 34/6 C. You might not get much growth till your milk comes in (up to 5 days after birth). Sadly they return to normal ;)

Rustler74 · 12/02/2017 13:15

Welcome LouiseJayne!
Don't worry about the milk, size is not indicative for how much milk you have. I've known several ladies who had no problem at all breastfeeding to the need of their DC.
Thanks Teaspoon. I wondered if you'd decided re the baby show?

Rustler74 · 12/02/2017 14:34

Those due on 24th, I thought tomorrow will mark last 100 days?

PeachIcedT · 12/02/2017 15:33

Having been in so much discomfort from the two bras I could still squeeze into (one underwired and making visible indentations on my body) I decided to finally go bra shopping. Thought I'd try the BOB method but M&S just didn't stock these sizes, tried some on regardless then once the assistant found out I'm pregnant she insisted on measuring me. Certainly an improvement but came out with a 38C when the other method had me as 32E. Who knows! She must have been a bit horrified at the wire indentations as she encouraged me to wear it out of the store. Actually one of the worst times to go bra shopping as all the lingerie was tailored to Valentine's Day - last thing on my mind!

Grow I'm very impressed by the tree, that's similar to what I'd love to have, but doubt in reality we will ever get round to it.

I also feel the belly tightness rustler, mostly in the evening, have to turn down DH's baked goods offerings as I feel eating in the evening would stretch it too far.

RasperryInAMelon · 12/02/2017 15:47

You're right Rustler! Where is the time going!

mrspage1985 · 12/02/2017 15:55

Thanks spam x
Managed a swim with butterfly legs and got physio appt tomorrow so hoping she can give me some more excersises and hoping it doesn't get worse x

teainbed · 12/02/2017 16:35

The emphasis in SPD is on protecting your pelvis, recruiting the muscles to support your pelvis when you move and what to avoid rather than exercises to help it. The physios said not to do stuff if it hurts.

Worry not about small boobs! I'm usually an A or B cup though go up to a D or so when pregnant. After about 3-6 months of me breastfeeding each time they seem to shrink down to nothing for and you can't help but think 'where does the milk come from?' But the babies keep drinking and weeing and putting on weight so they are definitely working!

Teaspoon74 · 12/02/2017 17:18

Hiya Rustler. Leaning toward the Sunday, though we have two weeks of workmen and deliveries (decorator, new garden fence and hardcore work, new garden shed/office nursery decoration & furniture) and that weekend is the first one after it's all done/delivered so OH wants to crack on with sorting the house out ). Should be able to work on him ;)

Welcome Louise!

Spam I am all about the waddle now - I'm just embracing it!!

1004Rise · 12/02/2017 17:29

Success, found another bargain. Paid £100 for a next to me cot Grin and it's hardly been used!

What's the rule on mattresses, if it would go in the washing machine would it be ok to use or do I need to buy a new one?

jennymac31 · 12/02/2017 17:33

1004rise - I would buy a new mattress.

Rustler74 · 12/02/2017 18:22

Def new mattress I'd say. Well done for the cot though!
Teaspoon if you can spare a few minutes when you've decided for sure, let me know and we'll arrange to meet there on Sunday?
Starting to waddle too but no pain or clicking in the hips. May mention to gp tomorrow when I have my telephone appointment about my back, will def say to Occu health...

mrspage1985 · 12/02/2017 18:30

I have def got the waddle! Used to be in heels day in day out, gave them up at the first sign of back ache about 2 months ago and notice that flat shoes enhance the waddle even more!!!

1004Rise · 12/02/2017 18:57

Right, new mattress it is... might see if I can turn this one into a dog bed... just seems a waste throwing it away. Not a particularly recyclable item Hmm

I'm with you on the heels mrspage used to be in at least 4 inch heels all the time, they went at about 14 weeks (even my comfy ones I'd looked out). Don't quite waddle yet but I've definitely lost my purposeful stride Blush

Fortunately no pain or hip clicking yet either but I am feeling it in my back, I think I'm compensating for my new centre of gravity by arching my spine the wrong way so might have a look at a support band before it gets worse.

Spam88 · 12/02/2017 18:58

Welcome louise! I'm also still waiting for some boob growth...

Brightsmoke · 12/02/2017 19:02

DH commented on my waddle yesterday. I'm also struggling to get up and down from seats. I'm really not enjoying this pregnant thing, people who do it more than once are either goddesses or crazy 😂

Sah, does the BOB method make it more difficult to find bras on the high street? I've been in nice comfy bras from about 6 weeks, bought some from primark that wee so comfy that I got some more of a slightly different style recently, and I live in them! Luckily I'm only 36C normally, so much easier to accommodate!

Badgerbird · 12/02/2017 19:10

Hey 1004 yes will def keep in touch, love them to bits and me having to leave was all rather a shock for them and me. They are obsessed with "blobby" as they call my bump so we will all be getting together once she's here too :) Good work on cot!! How long can you use those for? Think that's what we're looking for...

Hope your flight home was ok jw?

Hey louise congratulations! Yep I've got smaller boobies and now they're wonky!

Sonnet18 · 12/02/2017 19:16

My boobs haven't changed at all and didn't last pregnancy either. Definitely not indicative of milk supply, think it's just more proof that everyone's body reacts differently.
My back is killing me today but that is probably down to remaining permanently bent over when chasing dd around all day/ carrying her when she refused to walk...little monkey!
We only have one more thing to buy (despite the double buggy, which I'm pretending I don't need at the moment!) and that'll be us pretty much done! 12 weeks or so to go- this pregnancy is flying in!
Hope everyone had lovely weekends! I'm finding this thread really hard to keep up with so apologies if I've missed anything important!

RedBlu · 12/02/2017 19:21

Rise, I found my Next2Me cot on eBay locally for the bargain price of £50! Still had tags on and had barely been used!

However, general consensus seems to be even if it's barely used, by a new mattress.

I haven't purchased one yet but I believe they are about £30/40

1004Rise · 12/02/2017 20:11

Red I'm proper jealous now I thought mine was a true bargin!! HmmGrin Mattresses don't seem to be too expensive!

Badger I think you can use them until baby can pull themselves up so maybe til about 6 months when they might be going into the big cot in their own room. Glad you're able to keep in touch with your charges, hope the job hunting goes well too.
