M&S maternity tights are fantastic too. I have never had a pair of tights that stay up so well - I think I will continue to use them even when I am not pregnant!

1004Rise · 16/02/2017 21:03

I shall report back on the fasting on Monday, I'll be very grumpy if there isn't a good reason for it because I do most of my eating in the morning!! Hmm

Seraphine maternity tights are really comfy, very smooth material. I think all maternity tights are over the bump... the ASOS ones (that I have left) that I bought at the beginning only go halfway up my bump now though.... not attractive or comfortable!

I'm ok with over the bump jeans etc but I do feel like I get to about 6 in the evening where I just can't have anything tight over my bump anymore.... DH takes the mickey out of me sitting on the sofa, legs a kimbo & bump out Blush But by that time it's the only way I'm comfortable....

CinnamonTwist · 16/02/2017 21:53

Got a reply from my midwife saying she'd have a look at my results and let me know, I would assume tomorrow. But she did confirm that it would be to do with me and not baby, which is a massive relief! I didn't have to fast for the test, and I haven't been told to fast for the next one, so I'm guessing it's not diabetes related. Googling it (bad I know) it could be iron levels are borderline or I have a high white cell count (infection) either of which they might like to confirm before treating I guess! I'm much more relaxed about it now I know it's something affecting me and not the little wiggler!
Quite jealous of those having growth scans, must be lovely to get another peek at your babies 😁

Teaspoon74 · 16/02/2017 22:27

Primary 100d super soft tights are great for over-bump. Just go a size up if necessary (I normally wear large and can still do so and pull them up to just under my bra if I need to)!

MrsJW15 · 16/02/2017 22:41

Rise I also get half way through the day and get fed up of the overbump stuff. I end up pushing them down!

I have some tights I like but they have no label in so no idea where they are from. Might just struggle through in what I've got. mrscrocopop I haven't been able to find any M&S ones!

Adventuregame · 16/02/2017 22:46

Best tights for me are asos maternity ones !

mrscrocopop · 16/02/2017 22:46

MrsJW - they only seem to sell them online which is a PITA! They are also quite often out of stock

mrscrocopop · 16/02/2017 22:48

They haven't got them online at the mo. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the ones I got and let you know if they come into stock again x

MrsJW15 · 16/02/2017 23:04

Thanks! My office is quite warm and I'm getting quite hot these days so at some point I may have to be brave and dump the tights...

Badgerbird · 16/02/2017 23:34

Glad scan went well adventure :)

I did't know anything about blood test at 28 wk appointment??

Hello fox, how you doing? We are planning on using a cotbed with side off lashed onto side of our bed. Is that what you sort of did?

vanilla8 · 16/02/2017 23:50

Peas we have gone for the Knuma Huddle As we have a high bed/big mattress and it's one of the only ones that will reach the height we need.
Managed to pick one up on ebay, hope to pick up a mattress for it at the baby show

lullaby23 · 17/02/2017 05:27

Glad I'm not the only one irritated by the petulant child demanding new animals from Dear Zoo! Also why do they all have to be male creatures? This might be controversial but I can't stand Guess How Much I Love You, I think the big hare always has to have the last word and it really irritates me! I will read it if requested though Grin my favourite ones to read to babies are probably Peepo and Ten Little Fingers & Ten Little Toes. Agree Spot is a classic and Each Peach & Hungry Caterpillar. We have a lot of Julia Donaldson which DS enjoys. So far he's been given 3 copies of Peter Rabit!

lullaby23 · 17/02/2017 05:28

Or Rabbit...

Rustler74 · 17/02/2017 08:25

Haha lullaby hadn't looked at it that way, about having the last word!

1004Rise · 17/02/2017 11:15

Does anyone else feel like they need an afternoon nap again, feeling ridiculously tired this week and had thought I was sleeping ok (within pregnancy limits) Confused

savagehk · 17/02/2017 11:45

Re cosleepers we had a baby bay last time (2nd hand from Ebay), which was good.

Sah1987 · 17/02/2017 12:04

I want to sleep all the time - I've hit 27 weeks yesterday and now I'm exhausted!!!

yellowismyfavourite · 17/02/2017 12:07

I quite often need a sleep late afternoon or early evening... although I feel like I sleep at night I often wake up in the morning feeling just as tired!

Spam88 · 17/02/2017 13:41

I'm aware that this is possibly the stupidest question that's ever been asked, but when you're breastfeeding do you need to clean your nipple or anything before feeding..?

MrsJW15 · 17/02/2017 13:51

Rise I'm starting to feel tired again mid-afternoon. Not as bad as pre 20 weeks, but more tired than I was a few weeks ago!

savagehk · 17/02/2017 13:53

No cleaning needed spam - only issue could be if you need to have any lotions/potions on your nipples for whatever reason. Lansinoh is (I think! luckily never had to use anything) one of the ones that is safe to apply before feeding without worrying about washing off.

EsmesBees · 17/02/2017 13:54

Not a stupid question spam given all the emphasis on cleaning bottles, but no you don't.

I'm off work sick today. Had horrendous d&v overnight, seems to have settled down now but still feel very rough. I often fantasise about a day off without work or toddler, but this is not fun at all.

FoxMulder · 17/02/2017 13:55

I'm good thanks Badger. This middle bit of pregnancy is the best! Yeah, that's basically what we did with the cot I think. Not sure if DH braced it a bit for stability. It left a bit of a gap between the mattresses so I used a rolled up towel on the far side of the cot to push them together. DS never slept in it anyway until he was quite a bit bigger! Want to get myself a new mattress this time because it dips a bit in the middle.

Spam no you don't need to do anything. My mum was told to wipe pre-feeding but they don't say that anymore!

FoxMulder · 17/02/2017 13:59

How are you getting on now Badger? Sorry missed that bit off my last post!

RasperryInAMelon · 17/02/2017 14:38

Totally knackered here too - this afternoon hasn't been helped with a 3 course anniversary lunch at work with a dash of red wine... god I've missed that taste... could easily have polished off a bottle 🙈
