Very excited!! Just bought the cotbed!! Got it brand new on ebay for 150 instead of 250. Loving the bargains!!

cinnamontam · 26/02/2007 20:29

Nice work AM

I got a Moses basket and stand off eBay for £27 which arrived today. Won a white dresser, change table on eBay for £75 today and hoping to win an Amby hammock off eBay in the next couple of days. Getting there!!

Mrsjaffabiffa · 26/02/2007 20:31

Great bargains!!

MKG · 26/02/2007 23:58

Hey everyone,

LG&T I hope you are getting yourself situated and don't worry because any emergency scenario you plan for will not happen.

I can't wait for Thursday because I get my rhogam shot (anyone else rh -?) I've spent this pregnancy worried that if I ever bled I would have to go the emergency room. Come thursday, I'll get my shot and be set for the next 12 weeks. I just like to get things overwith and have less to think about. When do we go for strep b tests? I think it's 36 weeks, but I'm not sure. I am really trying to get things ready for this baby. We've changed the name by the way, but I'm sworn to secrecy as to what it is until he's born.

I hope everyone is doing well and not scrambling down the home stretch.

lillaura · 27/02/2007 08:29

SKYTVADDICT · 27/02/2007 09:49

Morning all

LG&T, I've emailed you for your address.

I've added a piccie of me to profile but don't thinks its very clear. I have quite a few now but they are too big to download. Need to learn how to downsize them.

I really need to go to the shed for my mop and to empty the tumble drier but I just went to open the patio door and a mouse shot out of the rabbit hutch. I think they live in or near the shed (DP and I have seen one each before) so I dont' want it running at me if I got towards shed. A bit of a wimp aren't I!

Better try again I suppose, by the way the rabbit lives in the garden not in his hutch and only goes in his hutch to eat which is what I suppose the mice are doing too!

LupinsBigLump · 27/02/2007 09:51

Blimey I dont pop in for 1 day and I feel like have have missed loads - hopefully nothing too important as I havent got time to read though them all

Managed to see theres some great bargain hunting going on - thats what I like to see, I am off to exchange my hospital dressing gown for a bigger size and get some nighties or pj's suitable for breatfeeding - hoping to find something in primark - I did with dd, I hate nighties, cos Im such a hairy bugger if I shave (usually wax except when pg) in the morning I ma spikey by evening and I cant face that after section so hopefully will get pj's

Still in pain today, got consultant next week so will chat to here about pain relief,

Will be back in later xx

scootermum · 27/02/2007 10:28

Morning all.
Failed to stay at work late last night in the end as called home and could hear dd in the background and i missed her so much that I decided to ditch it and go home.Of course by the time I got there she was half asleep and went to bed after about 5 minutes..so I shoud have stayed and done some graft really..I hate missing out on so much with her whilst im at sodding work..(but then I do enjoy the lunches at work with my two colleagues from the other two services over the road, and also I quite enjoy being the manager and having all the staff to boss round a bit when I fancy it).

You are right TYG it is a lifestyle choice.(well its no choice till we sell our little house), but thats the decision isnt it, get a big house but be brassic or get a smaller house and have a bit of cash.I m erring towards the second, becuase I really want to be off work sooner rather than later until the dd's go to school. The other thing in the equation is DH's qualification as an accountat which he is on traget for doing in September next year. Then his pay will go up loads and we will hopefully be in a far better position every which way.So assuming all goes to plan we will nmove to the smaller house, (but bigger than our current one if you get me), pay off some debt, then when he qualifies we will be free to sink all our cash into some huge gaff somewhere and I will be able to work a few less hours somewhere and be at home more for the kiddies..And when they are at school we will be laughing as we wont be paying about £700 a month childminding fees..What a killer that is!
So thats the masterplan.Which of course will be scuppered the minute I see a bigger expensive house that will stretch us but we can just about afford..Will just have to resolve not to look at any of those type of ones...
Can you introduce me to your cousin please? She sounds exactly the kind of person I like!

gandt.Im not as grown up as I appear.Had to start disciplinary procedures this morn against one of my staff. Was very stern with her and kicked her ass for England...Till she left my office, when I collapsed into a heap and had to phone my colleauge for some moral support!Im all mouth and no trousers...

Not sure how I eat gingerbread men. Will have to go and get hold of one to check.I am starving today.STARVING.And after making myself a lovely chicken snadwich last night for my pakc up today I left it in the fridge so have no food to hand.Feel a bit unsettled without anything edible nearby...Hope your feeling better SOH..

lol at the unloading the dishes into the fridge Tam...

Pebblemum · 27/02/2007 12:09

Morning all,

Hope you are all well. Ive been getting quite strong braxton hicks all weekend and then again on the way to collect ds2 from pre-school yesterday. If they are this strong now i dread to think how bad they will get nearer the time. What with them and the sciatica which seems to be getting worse day by day too im in for a fun time over the next 12 weeks

I had a really horrible dream last night. Its not very nice but I cant stop thinking about it so im hoping that by writing it down I will get it off my chest. I dreamt that i started bleeding only it wasnt a little bit it was floods of it and everyone around me were panicking, the baby was still moving about lots but it was obvious something was wrong. My midwife turned up, called the hospital and then said it was too late, with that a baby boy slipped out but he wasnt breathing, after a couple of minutes the midwife managed to bring him round but then she noticed he had no arms, not even little stumps The baby was just lying there looking up at me with such a sad face and i was feeling that it was all my fault. Luckily it was at that point i woke myself up crying out. I knew it was just a dream but it had felt so real that i couldnt get back to sleep and i couldnt stop crying. I felt guilty that my baby had been born disfigured and thought it was my fault for really wanting a girl this time around

I cant stop imagining the little face looking up at me, its creeping me out a bit and now all i want is to have my 32wk scan to check everything is ok, even though deep down i know it is

Juicylucytoo · 27/02/2007 12:13

PM - at your dream. You poor thing. Dreams can be so upsetting. Had a horrible dream on Sunday and it spoilt my whole day yesterday. Hope your Tuesday is ok.

I'm sure your 32wk scan will be fine.

Pebblemum · 27/02/2007 12:19

I feel stupid for letting the dream get to me, as everything was fine at my 20wk scan, all legs and arms present and correct etc yet i cant stop thinking about it. Why cant i have erotic dreams like the rest of you lol

Juicylucytoo · 27/02/2007 12:25

Wish I was having erotic dreams - Last night I dreamt about ebay and bugaboos. Still better than Sundays dreams, which was awful.

Really want to start my ML now. Fed up at work and my boss keeps messing me about on my holiday. What a royal pain in the ar*e.

LupinsBigLump · 27/02/2007 12:27

Pebble sorry you had a bed dream its horrible when they stick with you isnt it - especially when its something you can do nothing about it

I failed miserably in town, I was in too much pain to queue up to take back the dressing gown - was being really indecisive abiut pj's and nighties so didnt get any - ended up getting dd 2 pairs of sandals and lo a cardy and some socks hmmm - am now in more pain, had to go tho or the rent wouldnt have been in in time

I have been really strict with dd this week she is only allowed 1 hrs tv or vsmile each day for a week until I see some change in her behaviour - we started sunday and she has been lovely, so attentive and helpful she has helped with dinner everynight and has been going to bed better, we had a few tears 1st day but she let me turn it of no problem today yipeeee proud mummy

Pebblemum · 27/02/2007 12:34

Im a SAHM so im on permanent leave but its driving me mad. I feel I should be doing things to get ready for May but theres not much i can do at the moment except spend money on things we dont really need lol. I thought that once ds2 started pre-school I would enjoy the peace before the baby arrives but im finding it sooo boring. Dh is working day and night at the moment so he is hardly ever here and theres only so much housework i can do. I think ive memorised all my catologues and ebay seems to be on my pc permanently. I need a life

Pebblemum · 27/02/2007 12:42

Lupins-glad things are going well with dd, may have to try that in my house, limit the time watching bloody cartoons although it would backfire on me as dh is a big kid at heart and loves watching boomerang when he is home lol. Sorry to hear you are still in pain

Im sat here waiting for the gas man to turn up to do my annual safety check. I hate waiting in, they never turn up nice and early, its always at the last minute or just as you sit down to eat or (which normally happens to me) just as you sit on the toilet

Im also waiting for MIl to phone. She ordered the ds's some of that yucky GelliBaff so it should arrive any day now then there will be a struggle to see who gets to try it first out of ds1. ds2 and i expect dh I think i will leave them to it, bathing in goo is not my idea of fun

largeginandtonic · 27/02/2007 12:52

Afternoon all, hope we are all ok today.

TYG did you make it to work? LOL at you yestreday, aaah the things prg does to our brain. I frequently drive the wrong way to somewhere i have been going for years, put rubbish in the dishwasher and cutlery in the bin. I have also been known to put milk in the cupboard and probably lots of other stuff that mother nature has blocked from memory so i get prg again....

MrsJB poor M! Hope she is ok, give her a hug form me xx

PM your dream sounds horrid, dont worry thoug dreams like that are really common in prg and have no relevance to what is going on. Think of fluffy blue skies tonight. How is DS #1 at the mo?

Scooter your house plan sounds very sensible, cant believe how much childcare costs! Scary.

SKYTV will check my emails in a mo, cheers. Its only a mouse, get out there. I quite like mice, of corse put a spider any where near me and i freak. Will link a scary spider pic later if i can find it, this one gave me nightmares afterwards, i thought spiders like that were made up!

I saw the doc this morning as my Symphysis Pubis is playing up, while i was there he did my blood pressure. It is soooo low, 60\40. I had some bloods taken as he thinks i may be anaemic too, im not convinced though. My blood pressure is always quite low, i just think the prg has made it drop a bit more.

The twins were born today, at 29+2 days prg. This baby had better stay right where it is....

Made fairy cakes to calm my nerves

Juicylucytoo · 27/02/2007 12:57

MrsJB - Do you want my apricots? They're sitting here all forlorn on my desk and destined never to be eaten....

LupinsBigLump · 27/02/2007 13:10

Thanks Pebble - I hate feeling like this, hopefully will feel better soon or at least baby might arrive a little bit early, I get quite bored as well - am definatley thinking of getting a proper job after summer holidays - only something part time and non stressful

LGT how much did your twins weigh??

largeginandtonic · 27/02/2007 13:16

One was 2lb 9oz and the other 2lb 13 oz! Quite big really considering there were 2 in there. It was horrid, they were very poorly for a long time. I hope never to have to do it again, this stage always makes me go a bit wibble.

How are you?

largeginandtonic · 27/02/2007 13:17

JL eat your apricots, very good for your iron levels

largeginandtonic · 27/02/2007 13:31

Just had a thought for you SOH, not sure if you can have yor French getaway at Easter. Im pretty sure you cant travel on the ferry after 28 weeks. Will go and check for you, hope your nasty flu is going. xx

largeginandtonic · 27/02/2007 13:37

Hmmm just i thought, no travel if you are over 32 weeks link here

Bugger

largeginandtonic · 27/02/2007 13:40

Dare to look........

camel spiders

Pebblemum · 27/02/2007 13:44

LG&T ds1 seems ok at the moment. He had been complaining about having stabbing pains in the back of his eye over the weekend and my neighbour (who is epileptic) said that he gets that a couple of days before a seizure so we are all keeping a close eye on him. Still havent had a date for his tests but hopefully it wont be long now

Just walked ds2 to pre-school and twisted my ankle, its absolutely killing. It was ds2's fault, he slipped up and managed to trip me. Luckily i managed to stop myself before i hit the ground, that would have been so embarassing, the playground was full of kids who would have seen and there were lots of other mothers walking behind me I now plan to make myself a hot chocolate, stuff my face with the chocolates MIL brought us and relax although dh has just walked through the door (damn thought he was at work all day lol)so my peace is shattered

Pebblemum · 27/02/2007 13:48

Dare i ask why you were looking at camel spiders LG&T, not the sort of normal thing people google lol. They are disgusting though, glad we dont get them over here {shudder at the thought]
