Morning...............

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
cinnamontam · 26/02/2007 16:38

Definitely

ShowOfHands · 26/02/2007 16:39

Probably makes you sane...

I, on the other hand am off my rocker. Just posted a letter about a book purchase into the bin.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 26/02/2007 16:40

tyg, it's something I've not done, grape picking, ds has done it with school and said it was fun. (for a 4yr old) It's usually a big traditional weekend event, families and villagers all get togeher to help the farmers harvest, the weekend is usually helped along by plenty of pineau.

Can't comment on the kibbutz thing, I am proving myself very thick today but I don't know what one is. Learning lots from you guys though. Next time dh moans at me about being on MN I shall tell him that it is educating me.

ShowOfHands · 26/02/2007 16:44

It's a communal settlement JB. Usually in modern Israel and used to be heavily reliant on agriculture. They share child rearing responsibilities equally too.

ShowOfHands · 26/02/2007 16:45

I still don't know what a p&t is...

twelveyeargap · 26/02/2007 16:47

Phil and Ted's pushchair. The ones where you can add a second seat underneath if you have an additional child and then remove it again if one child outgrows using a pushchair.

ShowOfHands · 26/02/2007 16:52

Aah think I saw one in a magazine once. In Norfolk we just strap the baby to the back of the tractor or a combine harvester if you're really posh.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 26/02/2007 16:52

I can't believe you lot are at work, it's a bloody good job I'm not, I'd never get anything done.
Off to cook tea, dh will be back from physio in a moment, will rope him into chopping chicken and onions for me. Ewwwwwww!

Sweet and Sour chicke, rice and prawn crackers anyone?

largeginandtonic · 26/02/2007 16:54

ROFL at you lot, just taken me 20 mins to catch up! DH been playing Age of Empires 3 all afternoon so no computer access for me. Not used to this share thingy.....

SOH you should be tucked up in bed with a big pile of gingerbread men to keep you warm you poor thing. Lots of sympathy for you, especially considering the awfulness of watching a sweaty bus driver get his jollies....ewwwwww. Although im sure it has the makings of a porn movie in there. Your tale of crazy stalker bag snatcher definately does TYG. I was flashed at once, not very exciting though compared to your tales!

Scooter organising meetings sounds very grown up, i would have them bringing me KK's for extra credit, probably just as well it's only children im in charge of So scary for your FIL hope he is ok. You are a little crazy to be putting the house on the market, hope it goes smoothly for you. It can be a nice easy process sometimes, TYG and SOH have suffered alot.

MrsJB loving the name, i dont buy jaffa cakes for that very reason. I have made a choc cake that the kids are devouring fast so i may not get any at this rate. Probably a good thing. The twins were born tomorrow, 29 weeks and 2 days in to the prg. I may go a bit wobbly.....dd was born the day before her due date and the other 2 were 10 days and 14 days late. Different daddy is like ssetting the reset button though, a bit of a who knows situation again.

Skytv dont worry too much about measuring big for dates, even if they scan you it doesnt always mean they are right. I have seen plenty of babies induced for being too big or too small only to come out the complete opposite. DH will be very pleased to see the birth tape when you send it, he may need it

SOH i cant believe you eat half the GB man! I never heard of anyone doing that! I eat the head first too, just like you Tam to put it out of it's misery

ShowOfHands · 26/02/2007 16:54

Please, please, please. We have no food in, couldn't shop at the weekend as was too poorly to traipse 3 miles to the supermarket.

ShowOfHands · 26/02/2007 16:56

LG&T, DH plays Age of Empires too. Thought he was the only one...

twelveyeargap · 26/02/2007 17:04

JB - I presume you saw my earlier comment about the pile of work I'm ignoring. I am a very, very bad TYG. To make it worse, everyone always says how efficient I am, so now I feel guilty for letting them down. (Guilty in secret as they don't actually know about the pile of work yet.)

I have a lot to answer for for singing that song earlier. Sorry!

Off now. Speak later.

largeginandtonic · 26/02/2007 17:05

SOH he came in to the kitchen earlier when i was making the kids cottage pie and said ive just abandoned all my men...they all died. Oh the hilarity of it....

What if i made you gingerbread men with little hearts in them....then what would ya do? Would you be able to eat them? I could give them a red filling too so when you bit in to one it was like blood spurting.....

there could be a niche in the market

Mrsjaffabiffa · 26/02/2007 17:27

lol at blood spurting gingerbread.

Sorry, SOH, I didn't keep my part of the bargain about the p&t.

I did aknowledge (sp) the fact that you have a huge pile of work that you are not getting done. But don't go....go....

If you do
Wake me up before you go go.

lillaura · 26/02/2007 18:04

hi all ds feeling bttr but im soooooooooo tired

cinnamontam · 26/02/2007 18:24

Hi lillaura - can you get an early night tonight? Sorry you are feeling so blah but glad DS is better

twelveyeargap · 26/02/2007 18:39

Home. Revenge of the preggy brain made me get on not one, but two wrong trains this evening. First one was a fast train to way beyond my station and the second was one of those odd services that skipped a few random stations in the middle. Luckily the driver announced these things before it was too late for me. And luckily I was awake. I kept dozing off. Meant I was standing one stop from home for ages whilst watching what would have been the right train whislte by as I was at one of the "non stops". Doh. Thankfully the Ocado man called when I was on the way home to say he was delayed. I am a muppet. It's official.

lillaura · 26/02/2007 18:52

dh working late so will only get early night if i dnt mind not seeing him which is a bit of a catchment 22 for me as i dnrt sleep well if i havnt seen him and given him a goodnoght kiss (i know i know soppy so think ill just get kids to bed early and mong under my very soft throw blanket on sofa with a hot choccie and eastenders

Mrsjaffabiffa · 26/02/2007 19:01

Poor you lill, glad ds is better.

Don't envy you on a train on the way home tyg, must be the worst part of working and commuting.

AM- how's the finished product coming along? Did you get the photo shoot done?

dd has her first black eye, she was dancing yesterday, spinning round and round, lost her balance and crashe straight into th coffee table. Cracked her across the cheek, the bruise has now spread up her cheek to her eye. I'm sure it won't be the last.

Sorry SOH, we ate all the sweet and sour, yummmmmm, hope you find something in your cupboards.

twelveyeargap · 26/02/2007 19:02

Oh, I think I had some BH contractions. I didn't ever notice with DD. And in fact, I never felt any contractions when I was in labour. I had on-off pains in my back so was amazed when they put a monitor on my belly and said, "You're having a contraction now, yes?" "Am I?" sez I, amazed.

Anyway, does it feel like your belly goes all tight for about 20 or 30 seconds? Not sore, but just tight and hard and different to normal and kind of an especially "heavy" of your bump you're walking?

Oooh, update. My cousin's stuff just arrived. There's a Bill Amberg carrier in there too! Yippee.

cinnamontam · 26/02/2007 19:02

I know what you mean - one soppy woman to another. My DH is away again this week in France and while I enjoy the extra room in the bed I just don't sleep very well when he's away.

Monging on the couch sounds lovely - enjoy

TYG - you are indeed a muppet but then we all are so you are not alone. I was unloading the dishwasher into the fridge yesterday! Took me 4 plates to realise what i was doing.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 26/02/2007 19:28

Yes, tyg thats a braxton hicks and as lg&t said earlier they only get worse normally from now, not pain wise but more frequent.

twelveyeargap · 26/02/2007 19:38

There's other stuff in there too.

It looks like I now have a swinging crib for the nursery, courtesy of Mam/ Oxfam, a mini Stokke crib thingy to use in place of a moses basket, full size Stokke cot for later and a shearling bouncer, carrier and snuggler. And a Mozzee high chair to be delivered in a few months when cousin is finished with it. All for free! Huzzah for free stuff!

My mam said earlier that "That gets her off the hook for buying the cot, then", so I presume she'll offer to buy sumfing else now.

Am stupidly excited. I want to borrow a baby so I can use the carrier.

twelveyeargap · 26/02/2007 19:42

Free stuff AND a Braxton Hicks? Can things get any better? YES! DH is making the dinner!

Sorry to hear about DD MrsJB. Poor little thing.

aprilmeadow · 26/02/2007 19:49

OMG 75 messages and its only Monday. Can you tell that all the gas bags are back

Gingerbread men - head first definately. SOH how can you leave them half eaten down the middle, that is just plain cruel!

Have to say that i am LOVING my P&T its so lovely to push and ds is very cosy within it. He falls asleep a lot easier in this than the maclaren.

Room is finished - hoorah! Just need to re-size the image then i can up load it for you JB.
