Peas - I've got a hemnes in the nursery, it's just got two of the foam mattresses on it.

Sah1987 · 04/02/2017 20:06

Savage I must have missed something. Is something wrong?? Xx

Rustler74 · 04/02/2017 20:08

Hello Jugoo! You must be at about 24 hours travel from sunny UK 😀 It'll be useful when you wake up to a whole new twenty something messages to catch up with?
Thank you for the bump photo! I haven't uploaded one so far. Shall we have a bump series in a separate thread?
Hope you feel better soon Savage xxx look after yourself!
EsmesBees sounds like you could do with a break this afternoon. How old is the toddler? I will have a solid playpen to keep your toddler safe while misbehaving but of course that could only be used until 18 months or so. I dread the terrible 2 or threenager phase...
I had a quiet afternoon and so far no BH contractions so fingers X. But OH is poorly so I'm nervous about catching his symptoms.

EsmesBees · 04/02/2017 20:27

She's almost 2 rustler and a sweetheart. Although a challenge at times. She's never been one to be constrained though. We borrowed a playpen when we first moved in and there were no doors on and boxes everywhere. I've never heard her moan quite so much.

Rustler74 · 04/02/2017 20:48

Just done the mumsnet iPad app, not so sure as yet so I left it open in my safari as well. Sorry Apple talk.
How to start a new thread for the bumps?

Went to my first NCT sale today, was.....interesting. Got some good bits but it wasn't particularly well organised and I was surprised at the number of people who thought it was sensible to bring their massive prams with them to what was a small village hall with very little room! Got battered by several prams whilst walking around as it was a bit of a pushing and shoving match!

Jugoo28 · 04/02/2017 21:57

Facebook just gave me a reminder that this time last year I was in London! Think it will be a while before we get back to the UK now.

I have a friend coming over to visit at the end of Feb though and apparently she went a bit wild buying baby boden things so I'm pretty excited to see what she's bringing with her.

We are off to our first nearly new sale next weekend redblu. We went to the local school fair recently and a lot of people had prams at that in the hall as well when it was very crowded.

savagehk · 04/02/2017 22:09

sah came down with a cold Monday last week. Was still ok Tues. Weds/Thurs/Fri was at home in bed with cold, thought I'd turned the corner, then it went to my chest! Monday went to gp who booked me off with "chest infection" despite not hearing any wheezing, but I've never been so exhausted. In bed, sleeping during the day (not something i usually do) and very short of breath.

Sah1987 · 04/02/2017 22:17

Sounds awful!!
I'm really tight chested but mine is my thyroid though they tested for a lung clot. As chest X-ray showed no infection.
Feeling bad this evening though. Ate some toffee popcorn - sat up to drink some hot tea and the room span like I was drunk as a skunk.
Took 5 mins to stop. Who said pregnancy wasn't exciting eh??

Rustler74 · 05/02/2017 10:55

Sah still not feeling any better?
When are you due to have bloods taken again? I'm getting a bit worried too as not exactly feeling my best, with back hurting and not tolerating much effort before getting short of breath. Gonna call team Monday or Tuesday to see if they have results from Thursday blood results.
Other half slept in different room as he's unwell with flu symptoms. Not that he knows who he may have caught the flu of, but he's really unwell, even too unwell to play Call of Duty, if that isn't a sign!

Sah1987 · 05/02/2017 11:21

Grin yeah that's what my other half is like. He's feeling poorly so won't do anything, I think I might go hide in the bathroom.

To be honest no I thought I was, but I'm not. I coughed up some blood yesterday but only once, and don't want to go through all the tests again.

I'm due bloods in 2 weeks, nothing's gona change before then . Just feeling pants!!

How are you doing? X

Badgerbird · 05/02/2017 11:36

mrsjw glad you are ok and made your flight. Hope you can relax and enjoy yourself on hols now.

savage what a horrible week you poor thing! Really hope you're on the mend soon Flowers

rustler here's hoping a day of rest will have you feeling better.

Had friends round for dinner last night who tried for a baby for 2 years, had ivf then had to have a termination for medical reasons ..... she's 13 weeks pregnant now Smile Such happy news

peasandquiet · 05/02/2017 11:39

Sorry that some of you are still so under the weather. Hopefully you'll all come out the other side soon and start to feel a bit brighter for the last trimester.
Any of you who have hip/sciatica like nerve pain I've had amazing results with a tens machine on my hip each evening. Really has made so much difference for me and will 100% be getting that tens on my back the minute I get a contraction!!

Badgerbird · 05/02/2017 11:44

Blimey sah coughing up blood isn't good!! Have you got anyone to look after you seeing as dp is poorly? Go easy x

Sah1987 · 05/02/2017 12:03

Badger bird he's keeping his eye on me, I'm just laying in bed tbh. Feeling sorry for myself & guilty for my lg. she's making me "tea" every few minutes though xx

1004Rise · 05/02/2017 12:28

Peas I was dubious about tens machines, which one did you get?

Flowers for everyone not well, hope you all feel much better soon!

peasandquiet · 05/02/2017 12:41

Tens was given to me off a family member, it's nothing snazzy, just a basic one, as with all things pregnancy related I'd look for one not aimed at pregnant ladies, will most likely be a lot cheaper!

ClaireSunflower · 05/02/2017 12:49

Hi everyone! I might be a bit late joining the thread but I am 25 weeks today, due on 21st May. I've only just started buying things. I was a bit superstitious of buying things too early but I've managed to get over it and we bought a pram the other day. Got a really good bargain from mothercare, a cosatto giggle 2 which had £100 off in the sale. I've bought a few sleep suits and the paint for the nursery, just need to find the time to actually do it!

lucieloos · 05/02/2017 12:52

Say sorry to hear you aren't feeling any better. Doesn't sound too good! Glad to hear you are resting up.

I have a second hand tens machine that I got off eBay for about £20. Haven't really used it much yet though. Not really sure where to put the pads.

Tickyboovicki · 05/02/2017 13:03

Hi claire! We brought the giggle 2 as well in the sales, I loved it as a travel system and other half found it really nice to push!

savagehk · 05/02/2017 13:21

peas I've not used one although thinking about it for this labour, but have you checked they're safe in pregnancy? I have a vague recollection they might not be.

newbieho · 05/02/2017 13:25

Is anyone suddenly feeling very pregnant? My bump is HUGE, feels uncomfortable and sticks out. Still three and a half months to go Confused

lucieloos · 05/02/2017 13:27

I know a few of my friends used tens during labour. I don't think they are recommend to be used during pregnancy though or definitely not before 37 weeks so would be careful with it.

ClaireSunflower · 05/02/2017 13:35

Hi tickyboovicky yes it does seem quite easy to steer and I liked the design of it so I think it will be a good pram, not that I know much about them!

newbieho I am feeling massively fat in general and have put on one and a half stone already! Blush but the actually bump isn't particularly huge so far! Wish it would as I just feel obese rather than pregnant at the moment!
