kep1979 does breastfeeding mean you won't get sore boobs? With my first pregnancy sore boobs was my only symptom and this time I have nothing at all - I'm still breastfeeding too so that could explain it

n0ne · 19/01/2017 17:05

Hi all! Today was full-on bloat and gas - nice. Hope this stage passes quickly!

Travelgeek · 19/01/2017 17:06

Checking in to the new thread. Thanks oliversmummy

Excellent work batfish I like your thinking on the spear sheet.

I can't recall who said it towards the end of the last thread but it was reassuring to hear that fluctuations in symptoms shouldn't be a cause for concern. I say shouldn't as one day I am exhausted and about to puke all the time and the next I've nothing except bigger boobs than usual and then I worry.

How is everyone doing finding healthy things that take their fancy to eat?? I'm normally greedy! But am right off my food with the nausea and the only things I ever fancy to eat are junk. Been trying to ensure I still have plenty of fruit and veg but have had more than usual of chocolate, chicken nuggets and crisps at just the time I feel I should be eating really well :(

Almondbiscotti lucky I wish they would even give me a date.. Bet you're so excited for your scan, I might have to book an early scan too! At 8 weeks I think, I can't wait much longer 😁
Frillyhorseyknickers haha I guess you'll just have to pretend you're drinking then 😂
Pinkandwhite I want to join the group but are you sure non of my FB friends will be able to see? X

MrsK8541 · 19/01/2017 17:11

travel I'm struggling to eat healthily too, I'm addicted to cheese crackers as they take the sicky feeling away. The healthiest thing I've been eating is the occasional carrot stick dunked in humous Smile. It's better than not eating at all!

EssentialHummus · 19/01/2017 17:13

travel I'm doing terribly on food. Frankly, I don't want to eat anything. Then, what I do actually think I could stomach shifts from day to day - so the fridge/freezer is full of all the stuff I wanted to eat the day before Angry.

Today I've had a slice of sourdough bread with peanut butter and jam, and a bowl of stir-fried pak choi with mushrooms in oyster sauce. I'm now contemplating a toasted cheese sandwich, but I really can't take cooking/prepping/eating/being anywhere near food.

calimommy · 19/01/2017 17:19

frilly if your anything like me, people know antibiotics wouldn't stop you. And I'm a nurse.
I'm also doing dry Jan, and if people question me or say 'have one I won't tell' I just say that 'I have the self control of a gnat so if I have one I'll have three and it's a personal challenge to myself to do just one month'.
Bit screwed for February of course but I don't mind a few people knowing then because I'll have had another scan by then.
Everyone is a fucking obstetric-Sherlock Holmes. 🙄

calimommy · 19/01/2017 17:21

Amz26 they can only see if they are also members of the group

Shwighty1 · 19/01/2017 17:27

I'm having a beige freezer dinner tonight is the height of sophistication and nutritional content! But it's all I fancy!
Breaded mushrooms, chips, pizza.......! All the beige!!!!!!!

MrsK8541 · 19/01/2017 17:30

shwighty Beige diet for me too! Mash potato with breaded chicken.

Amz26 · 19/01/2017 17:46

I'm really finding it card to eat healthy too! I was so good before! I use to prep all my meal but can't stand that sort of food right now.. Carbs are my bestie ATM 😁

calimommy ok great, I'll do that now :)

DownInFraggleRock · 19/01/2017 17:50

Oh yay! So glad I've found this thread!
We decided to start trying at Christmas, and because I wasn't expecting anything to happen quickly (slightly older, overweight, extremely stressed, not much free time to dtd!) I didn't pay any attention to when my period started! So I'm totally guesstimating, still in shock and not up on the lingo at all!
Age 34
Baby 1
Due ?18th September
Cycle (is this how many months trying?) 1
Status married
Fur babies: 2 dogs
Location NI
Sex: don't think I'll find out.

WhiteLily86 · 19/01/2017 17:50

Place marker for me.

Had my booking in appointment today. Lovely midwife. No bloods or anything, but lots about family history so was glad to have DH there too.

I have another appointment in 2 weeks with her to give her urine sample and bloods. Not sure why it is done over two appointments, maybe a Scottish thing.

Should get my appointment letter for 12 week scan in post within 2 weeks. My 12 weeks will be 22nd Feb, although scan can be between 11-14 weeks.

Who else has had their booking appointment??

Lots of you getting early scans. I am going to wait, she reassured me on the spotting (perfectly normal unless you have lots of blood, like AF and painful cramps) and get a private for my sexing scan as they don't tell me at local hospital.

Fluffywallow · 19/01/2017 17:53

Cashmere thank you, that's really reassuring. My logical brain knows that it's just nice to know a medical professional said the same!

I know someone mentioned sea bands upthread - definitely work for me, doesn't stop it but takes the horrible edge off.

Amz I'm pleased I opted for the private early scan...I'd have 2 already by this point with my DD and it's driving me mad waiting this long waiting this time - impatient!

Thanks for setting up the new thread oliversmummy we are a chatty bunch!

I'll add my details to the (lovely organised spreadsheet Smile) when I'm on a proper computer.

Fluffywallow · 19/01/2017 17:56

Oh and batfish I too wondered about sore boobs in second pregnancy as mine aren't nearly as bad this time. According to dr google it's something to do with boobs doing their last stage of maturation in pregnancy and if it's a second or more pregnancy they've already matured which results in less pain.

Pinkandwhite · 19/01/2017 18:31

Are anyone else's sore boobs coming and going? Mine were worse a few days ago then they are now which I find worrying.

n0ne · 19/01/2017 19:09

Oh, I've changed my due date in the spreadsheet so now it's out of order :/ Is someone able to sort it? Sorry, I'm an accountant so it's going to drive me crazy otherwise!

Almondbiscotti · 19/01/2017 19:36

Please could someone update my deets on the spreadsheet. I am having no luck! Confused

WhatwouldRuthdo · 19/01/2017 19:47

Pinkandwhite my boobs are definitely not as sore as they were, although still bigger. Only symptoms I have are bloat (I really am very round of stomach at the mo!) and tiredness. I don't feel pregnant really. Keep trying to remind myself that I was the same with DS but having a 'viability scan' next week.

TotTickle · 19/01/2017 19:57

Oliver thanks for the new thread. Marking my place.

Can't keep with you chatty lot. I do enjoy reading what I can and hearing all your news already.

Is any one a HOD with a toddler? Is it manageable?

Could someone please add my stats to the spreadsheet:

Age: 30
Cycle BFP: 1
Baby: 1 DS who is 12months
Due date: 20th September
Status: Married
Fur babies: One fauve (got her when I was pregnant with DS)
Location: NorthWest
Finding out the Sex? Surprise, if I can resist asking Grin

Katurah · 19/01/2017 20:06

6+4 today and look about 20 weeks! My boobs don't hurt at all but they didn't last time so I'm not stressing about it. I'm booking in 8th Feb and have a private scan booked for the same day. Have a follow up scan at EPU after an early scan last week that showed a sac and yolk and beginning of a fetal pole so hoping for a heartbeat next week. My clearblue has since gone up to 3+ weeks and I'm full of symptoms so trying not to stress. I have a 14 month old and had a MMC in September.

I'm struggling with the database! If anyone could add me? I'm also up for a Facebook group!

Ooh and I am married and will be finding out the sex!

SpringSpringSpring · 19/01/2017 20:14

I've had cramps today and a tiny bit of spotting (7wks). Think I might go for a private scan tomorrow as I'm getting anxious, not sure if it's too early for them to even see anything though.

Babyblues14 · 19/01/2017 20:30

Been very moody the past couple of days, every little things seems to annoy me, only five weeks gone, hope it gets better soon, think DH has had enough already lol
