Thanks for the new thread oliver.

batfish i'm sure i've been on a baby related thread with you before but it feels so long ago i cant remember!

Frillyhorseyknickers · 19/01/2017 13:46

So, so far I have been doing "dry January" and everyone seems surprised but hasn't made a link.

I'm a massive booze hound, social butterfly, surgically attached to a glass of wine and I have two black tie dos, an evening networking event and my birthday coming up in February - any tips to deceive all the people who know me best?!

Pinkbottletop · 19/01/2017 13:52

Frilly claim doctors orders. I've told people at work it's kidney related (I have kidney problems)

Got my early scan tomorrow. I'm a bit nervous.

Almondbiscotti · 19/01/2017 14:03

Pinkandwhite and Littlepooch i am sw london/surrey border too! I cant get onto the sheet but will send me deets in a mo

Amz26 · 19/01/2017 14:11

ringroads well my guess is that it can't be a bad sign!
How many weeks will everyone be when they get their booking in appointment? I just called and they told me I won't get mine until 9/10 weeks.. Does that seem late to anyone?

Amz26 · 19/01/2017 14:15

Pinkbottletop how exciting, make sure you keep us updated!
Frillyhorseyknickers maybe tell people you're on antibiotics and you can't drink, that might work

Almondbiscotti · 19/01/2017 14:16

Almondbiscotti · 19/01/2017 14:16

31*

Shwighty1 · 19/01/2017 14:16

Frilly its so hard! I've just survived a conference and likewise am known as a drinker. When my glass was getting empty I would change my group of people I was talking to, picking up a g&t on my way past the bar!! Apple juice can look like a chablis!!

Pinkandwhite · 19/01/2017 14:28

Almond - great you live in a similar area!

Pinkandwhite · 19/01/2017 14:29

Frilleyhorsey - will your partner be at the events with you? If so, you and he can swop glasses. Me and DH successfully tricked many friends this way when I was pregnant with my daughter. He ended up drinking a bit more than normal though!

Carolina80 · 19/01/2017 14:30

Ringroads how far gone are you? Sorry you are feeling so rough too but I'm glad I'm not the only one. This is my first and I'm wondering if I'm just being a wimp about it all! Is so hard to just carry on as normal when you can't keep food down! I've heard some people say that it can start to get better around 9 weeks but then others say it's more like 16 weeks so is hard to know how long this will continue. But yes it is also reassuring knowing that this is probably due to hormones increasing Smile

Lules · 19/01/2017 14:37

In my previous pregnancy they did the booking in appointment at the same time as the 12 week scan so I guess different places do it differently.

And sorry to be the bringer of bad news but I was sick until I gave birth at almost 42 weeks but I think that's really unusual. I think most people are ok after 12.

puttingourhoodupdown · 19/01/2017 15:01

Thanks so much amz.... Stats are

Thank you!

Frillyhorseyknickers · 19/01/2017 15:02

Pinkbottletop & Amz26 I did initially think that, but my friends' know I would happily defy docs orders for a night on the sauce.

Shwighty1 - that's such a good idea, I had thought if I am drinking "G&T" it looks fairly convincing anyway, and I'm usually wired enough to come across hammered anyway Grin

Pinkandwhite It's a brilliant idea but my OH does not need any encouraging to be "drinking for two" Blush

HellsBellsK · 19/01/2017 15:03

Frilly I would just walk around with a glass of wine in your hand then go onto gin and tonics without the gin. I think once they see you with a drink in your hand they forget about it.
I told one of my cousins yesterday that Im pregnant she asked me did I find out after Christmas as I was drinking the 3 times I saw her over the period. Said nope I just held a drink in my hand and put it down and also just drinking Tonic water.

I have a few cramps today trying not to worry went back to the gym today so hoping thats what its from.

puttingourhoodupdown · 19/01/2017 15:15

Thanks for adding me to the spreadsheet losing Smile

Tilly2017 · 19/01/2017 15:32

pinkbottletop yes I van defiantly relate to you. He can be reasonable but then suddenly change on me without warning. I just really want a good night's sleep because of my scan tomorrow. I am mentally preparing to go on my own even though I hope I don't have to. I think tonight/tomorrow will define where he stands on this and I know it's really bad but at the moment I kind of want to be selfish and jump up and down screaming 'what about me! I feel like death warned up but I have to put on the brave face and keep going!' But I know it will only end in more upset. I'm worried more than anything which isn't helping my anxieties about my pregnancy as strangely I'm almost convinced I'm going to have a miscarriage (no history or proof to support this) and in one way I'm know I'm being irrational but in the next I feel like this I need to stand my ground out..... I just don't know if it's a battle work having or not. Xxx

Almondbiscotti · 19/01/2017 15:34

Amz26 i have been told can have it from 8 weeks. I have having mine at 9 weeks and first scan (private) at 7 weeks! Too excited! I am at 5 weeks now.

kep1979 · 19/01/2017 15:34

Hi all, can I join you? This is my fifth pregnancy, I've got three children (12, 10 & 12 months) and had one miscarriage. Bit surprised as had issues conceiving all of them and they all took years, whereas this one took 10 months of just not using contraception after dd was born. Also a little apprehensive about a 20 month age gap, but really excited!

Because of prior miscarriage I am a nervous wreck in early pregnancy, and am having an early scan on 28th to try and calm myself down a little!

Oh and think I'm due around 23 September, but will probably be having a planned section and I have had three prior sections (first one planned for medical reasons, second one emergency and third emergency after trying for a VBA2C).

How do I go about getting added to the FB group?

Not really got any symptoms, not even boobs, but that may be because I'm still breastfeeding, although think my supply has dropped drastically so may not be for much longer Sad

Shwighty1 · 19/01/2017 16:06

Pm Pinkandwhite with your link to your fb profile and she should be able to sort it

Pinkandwhite · 19/01/2017 16:06

Kep1979 - welcome! If you send me a personal message with either your email address linked to Facebook then I can add you to the Facebook group. There are a total of 7 of us in it so far!

ZylaB · 19/01/2017 16:22

Hi, can someone who can alter the spreadsheet please add me to it?

Age: 39
Baby: number 2
Due date: 24th September but won't be allowed to go past 3rd Sept
Cycle: 7 after mc in May
Status: Married
Fur babies: 3 cats!
Location: Midlands
Finding out the Sex? Yes, when we have harmony test at 10 weeks or so

Heyitsholly · 19/01/2017 16:28

Added to the spreadsheet
Ive lost my appetite which is new from the last pregnancy. Fingers crossed it should be good for my diet.
Need to call for my booking scan but ive been hesitant as i need joint care and each appointment takes 4 hours 🙈

batfish · 19/01/2017 16:30

kep1979 does breastfeeding mean you won't get sore boobs? With my first pregnancy sore boobs was my only symptom and this time I have nothing at all - I'm still breastfeeding too so that could explain it
