Congrats knitting and hope everything went well for you HL Smile Fingers crossed your little one is on his way soon too Dandelion although I've no tips I'm afraid as I had a CS!

Does anyone know if we have a postnatal club set up for our April babies?

peanut2017 · 21/04/2017 07:10

Conor was born 18th April at 7.57pm on his daddy's birthday! Had a tough enough time but over the moon. We have both been on antibiotics and all sorts but thankfully last night they told me he he doesn't need any more and that horrible needle and plaster came off his little hand

Had to have a blood transfusion which was mental thinking someone else's blood was going into me but am starting to feel a bit brighter now.

Finding the ol sleep thing difficult as I watch out for every movement he is doing so need to chill out as he's a very twitchy baby!

We must set up a post thread as I have found you all to be a great support and I'm thinking of you all coming up to the final race. You are all amazing and can do it! Even though i found it really hard he is so worth it Smile

Congratulations peanut!! Sorry you and the little guy had a tough time of it to start off with; hope you're enjoying all those big-eyed baby cuddles now Smile

Theknittinggorilla · 21/04/2017 16:39

Congrats peanut, hope you are recovering well.

We are home now, sore but happy and my boys have really taken to their little sis. Am getting mammoth headaches though with neck and shoulder pain - anyone else have a section or spinal and have the same? Painkillers helping.

Is there an April babies post natal thread?

peanut2017 · 22/04/2017 06:47

Thanks! He's definitely worth it but feel like I've been in a car crash! Going home today which I've mixed feelings about. I'm in a private room in a little bubble but when we leave it all gets very real! Can't wait to sleep in my own bed - well rest there for a few hours at a time Smile

PinkUnicorn1990 · 23/04/2017 09:34

Congrats peanut!

Knitting* I had an epidural and found I had back pain/spasms for the first week or so, no advice apart from keep up with the painkillers!

itbeeps · 23/04/2017 18:19

bangbangprettypretty · 23/04/2017 22:49

Congratulations to everyone on the arrival of their scrummy babies!

Is there a postnatal group for us yet?

Cath3081 · 28/04/2017 18:30

Hi, are there any April ladies still waiting for their special delivery? I'm due on Sunday and still no signs of anything happening. I've been on mat leave for 2 weeks and getting really bored!

peanutbutter310 · 28/04/2017 21:36

Yep, I was due on the 17th but now booked for induction on Sunday after running a very uncomfortable two weeks over. Never occurred to me until they gave me the induction date that I could end up with a May baby!

petiteange28 · 29/04/2017 23:16

Hi all, my son was born last Sunday 23rd after attempted and failed induction resulting in a c-section. Completely worth the stress and pain in every way. Congrats to all the other mummies and good luck to those waiting!

Helbelle75 · 01/05/2017 04:49

Not been on here for a while but to let you know our little girl was born on 16th April weighing 8lb 2oz.
She was born by emergency caesarian after a failed induction and 5 days in hospital. Worth it though - she's perfect.
Congratulations on all of the new arrivals.

Cath3081 · 02/05/2017 10:02

Hi peanut hope your little one has arrived by now. I'm still waiting. I'm seeing the midwife tomorrow for a sweep and if that doesn't get things going, I'll be induced on Friday. I'm the same - always had it in my head that I was having an April baby.

Congrats petite and helbelle

peanutbutter310 · 03/05/2017 15:07

Congrats petite and helbelle!

Cath*, my LO arrived on Saturday, so we narrowly missed the induction! We stayed in one night but have been home since recovering and enjoying lots of lovely time with her!
How did your sweep go?

sarahhh1984 · 30/05/2017 16:22

Congratulations to you all on your beautiful babies!

I dropped off this thread quite early in my pregnancy as I found I was overanalysing everything too much. But I kept checking in to see how you were all doing.

My own April baby showed up a week early on Easter Sunday. Little Iris did not have a straightforward delivery and it was pretty hairy for a while, but the important thing is that she's here and both of us are safe and well.

Hope everyone's coping through the 6-8 week fussy stage - and the hot weather!
