I have my 20 week scan today (except I'm 18+6, they're keen here!). Woken up by a weird dream about a wooden deer that came to life and started attacking people. My pregnancy brain is taking me to strange places!

Not finding out the gender so I hope we have a modest little one today!

kits - I don't have any numbers to compare to yours (though I will do tomorrow!) but I am strangely fascinated by this and have done some googling!

This website here has all sorts of interesting charts etc. It doesn't have a direct percentile calculator but about half way down there are some charts for all of the different measurements and your numbers look really good!

Do you all have a customised growth chart in your folders or is that something that is twin related? At my 12 week scan they put a chart in my folder which shows how big they are supposed to be an is adjusted for my height/weight (though amusingly not DH's?). Unfortunately mine doesn't start till 24 weeks so I'm not going to be on it yet!

kits I'll look my numbers up. Did they not put a mini graph next to them showing where you are compared to average? Mine were all at / below average (which I'd expect as I'm 5'1 and DH is 5'9) except abdominal circumference which was above so I'm expecting a chubby baby!

Anyone else started snoring? I wake myself up sometimes. I googled it and apparently it is due to mucous membranes swelling. The website advised nasal strips which I have from when I had a cold. And avoiding tobacco, alcohol and sleeping pills

Has anyone managed to source affordable soft cup bras in a G+ size? I'd rather not pay £30 a pop with 20 weeks to go :(

Lally I have my 20 week scan today too. We've already had 2 scans that said girl but I'm still gonna ask them to double check!
My DH has kinda ruined the day, he got randomly too pissed last night (on a Wednesday!?) when he went round the pub to watch footy then woke me up at stupid o'clock so we are on our way hospital now not speaking

Drew are you planning to BF? If so, get nursing bras now - they're fine for pregnancy and you'll need later.

No, I haven't got a graph or growth chart. The sonographer (is that the right term?) did say that you can't really tell how big or small they're going to end up at this stage, but I'm still curious!

I have just worked out what the scale near each number stands for. I guess my baby might have a small head!

Anyone here from a " fat babies" or "tall babies" family know if it carries on through generations?

DH was checking our measurements online in the car on the way home from the scan! He said we are average for everything.

I got a belly growth chart and tape measure at my 12 week scan, but not been told when to use it or anything. Not sure if the midwife does it or me?

My DH's family were all very tall babies and certainly all of the nieces and nephews who have been born recently have been very long at birth.

Not sure about weight. Someone was saying yesterday that how big the baby is more likely to be down to how long it stays inside you - i.e. overdue = big - but I don't know if that's true. Also second babies are bigger than firsts? No idea of the facts though but I do know I was a 10lb baby and was 2 weeks overdue and am the second child!

Here are my stats kits! Abdominal circumference is off the scale ?! Ha!

Scan & Cervical length looked fine but still have to go back to check cervix length 3weeks today.

Drew it's not particularly genetic.
It can be in the sense that if you were a 9lb baby it's unlikely you'll end up with a 5lb er.
I was 6lb3, DH was 2lb 2, My dad was 7lb,
My son was 8lb 8.
Baby weight is more likely to be influenced by the size of the mum/diet/weight gain during preg/sex (boys often larger at birth than girls/sibling number (first borns are usually smaller than their younger siblings)
I had a large ish baby at 8lb 8 but my diet was relatively normal, BMI was 23 and i only gained about 2stn from start to end.
one friend I have had 3 boys and there were all around 9 and a half pounds even though she was a smaller baby. It's probably more down to individual than genetics as such if that makes sense
(Sorry for the boring post, i'm quite interested in genetics as a passing hobby lol) haha

All fine for me - yay - though we had to go back later on for the heart check as baby was in a face down position. Midwife said we couldn't have found out the gender even if we wanted to, so that was good as I didn't want to know.

My measurements - I'm 18+6 so quite early.

Head Circumference - 15.6cm
Abdominal Circumference - 13.3cm
Femur - 2.8cm
Weight - 0.9oz / 254g

Hi everyone!

Hope you don't mind me joining in myDC1 has an EDD of 5th July 2017, I only found out a month ago and no I'm already 20+1!!

Had 2 scans so far (dating and private scans) and got the anomaly scan next week. All looks good so far though and I am already in love with getting to see my little one waving at me on the screen!

Feeling pretty nervous, but excited about it all. Just have no idea where to even begin with getting things ready!

Any general advise for an inexperienced and slightly shell shocked first time pregnant 26yo would be much appreciated!

Well, I was on the pill, and was still having periods up until January, when I missed one. I went to the drs, and they predicted about 8 weeks, but they requested an early dating scan as they weren't sure. The sonographer started scanning and was like "well, that is not 8 weeks - its more like 19"!! That was last week!

I didn't have any sickness, aversions to food or cravings. Thinking back, I was definitely more emotional over the Christmas period, but I just put that down to an extremely high pressure and stressful period at work.. but perhaps it was a mixture of that and my hormones being a bit all over the place!

How are you coping with the news? That must have been a shock. Mine was completely unexpected as well as we tried for 2 years. I have irregular periods ( 20-60 days) but random fluke, I tested at 4 weeks exactly ( based on scan measurements) and it came back positive.

To be honest I planned my pregnancy and I was still shell shocked! Ha! Count yourself lucky really, you got past the most worrying part of being pregnant and didn't even know! You are at the enjoyable part now!

Are you going to find out what you are having? Have you noticed your belly getting bigger? I was getting a proper belly from 16-17 weeks!

There are a few of us first timers here so your not alone!

It was a huge shock, but we are both really happy and excited now and just trying to work out the logistics of it all!

I am starting to show a little bit, but really not as much as I would have thought I would be showing at half way through!!

What a lovely surprise though!
I've put nearly a stone in between 12 weeks and 20weeks and I feel enormous! ... I'm loving it all though! Like luci says it's great you skipped the worrying anxious stage without even knowing!

I've only just started to get a bigger stomach and I'm 21 weeks tomorrow.
