Had my 16 week appointment today. All good, and the midwife seemed really sensible about what choices I could make about dates and interventions. I've been referred for my extra growth scans too, which should help. And I got to hear the heartbeat.

I got stung two pregnancies ago by buying stuff in sales then miscarrying, so I've waited until now... but I've bought some maternity clothes. Must be happening!

I'm keeping a Moses downstairs for during the day. We have a slightly larger crib for night in our room as they outgrow the Moses so fast.

I'm buying some maternity clothes tonight off eBay as jeans and normal work trousers are getting really uncomfortable.

I've also got my 16 week midwife appointment tomorrow. I'm not expecting much, will be interesting to check my blood pressure again. I must remember to take my sample with me too.... I'm likely to forget that at the moment! Have written some notes around the house and on my phone so should be ok!

18+3 and we finally have movement! Definitely not gas now, feels like little kicks below my belly button. I can feel them on my hand when I place it there. I'm so glad to finally have that reassurance

Daisy that must be exciting. About the same time when I felt definite movement. It is freaky but very reassuring at the same time.

I have been on the sofa all evening with my hands on my bump just waiting for more! I love it. I can't wait to see the baby again, just 2 weeks until the next scan.

I've got my 16-week midwife appointment tomorrow too (although ill be bang on 15 weeks). Not expecting much either especially as they did blood pressure, heartbeat etc. on Monday when I went to hospital.

Bleeding has pretty much stopped which is a relief!!

Anyone started thinking about names yet??

Cat yes we have girl names. A few boy names but not committed to any of them yet.

Cat - we've got a couple of names for both, but won't decide until the birth. Work are adamant I'm going to call it Pythagoras (I'm a maths teacher!) doesn't matter how many times I tell them it's not, they keep saying it is!

Cat, we had a definite boy name but turns out we are having a girl. I have a name I love but DH isn't sure about it. What about you?

I have lists of both. The boy list is longer, but there are no stand-outs. The girl list has some that I love, and even one or two me and my OH agree on!

I was supposed to have a midwife appointment.... my DH was in the last is also adamant that she said 2nd Feb. Turns out I'm booked in on the 9th... that means more cover needed for next week. Doh! Everything we've got written and remembered says the 2nd. Another week to wait. Oh well.

I have a couple of boys and girls names. But none stand out at the moment, we're going to wait until we meet baby to decide.

Cat, glad bleeding has settled down. Get the midwife to check heartbeat again at your appointment.

Daisy, congrats on the movements it's the best isn't it!

Is anyone else not feeling movements yet at around 18+4?

Sea Yes a few of us have felt movement around that time. I had definite movement on Monday night at 18+2. Even now I can feel gentle nudges.

I am feeling quite crampy this morning. Hope it is nothing to worry about

Sea I'm 18+6 today and nothing! It's a bit frustrating but I need to remind myself it was be anywhere up to 24 weeks before feeling movement.

Sea, 18+2 and I've had a very occasional light flutter that lasts a few seconds but nothing definite yet.

Backache and cramps. This is not good.

Not, don't panic! That will only make you feel worse! If there is no bleeding I wouldn't worry too much, maybe just take it easy. Or if you are really worried call your midwife for reassurance. I hope you're ok x

Not I'd give the midwife a call if you're worried but I think cramps may just be growing pains.

notthere try not to worry about cramping and backache so long as it does not become severe and there is no blood I've felt like this a few times in the last few weeks but nothing more has come of it

I have 1 boys name, it was the boys choice for both dd's. I haven't even thought of a girls name yet!

Ok I will assume its growing pains. Maybe I need a poo? Not really sure what is going on. I am at the end of a cold that had me off work for 3 days, now just bunged up with a migraine that I can't shift. I think the migraine is due to blowing my nose too hard over those 3 days.

Anybody really thirsty too? I can't seem to quench it and I'm so bloated that I can't get anymore water in.

Sorry for mourny post. I am having a rough day. At least baby is still doing its nudge thing for a bit of reassurance.

I have been constipated for 4/5 days at a time for weeks due to the iron tablets so I've had a lot of cramping along with it (tmi I know)
I have been drinking much more than normal lately, I find ribena helps to quench the thirst.

I think I spoke too soon as had more dark clotty blood last night - but today barely anything! It's weird as I only bleed when I sleep - you think it would be the other way round!

Anyway got midwife appointment later today so will ask her.

I've got some names jotted down too, we had agreed on a girl's name but now I'm worried it might be too common. I do t think we'll decide for certain until he/she is born. Until then I'll continue stalking the baby names forum on here!!

Sorry to hear your not feeling great not. Definitely give your midwife a ring if think something's up - better to be on the safe side. Hopefully it's just a poo
