Hope it's ok tomorrow! Although apparently it spilt loads of sand everywhere. I only realised as DH told me his trains were cancelled. I got a seat in the end, I've decided that if I feel like I need a seat I'll just ask. My trains can get really busy -
I get the overground from Canada Water so I mainly wear my badge to make sure I'm not pushed around too much.

I do think people in priority seats should
Look around more and be aware. 8 years ago I lived in north London near the end of the picadilly line and worked in Kensington. I always had a choice of seats when I got on and I always sat in a middle seat as most days I was hungover and wanted to doze for 40 mins so didn't want to sit at the end and risk having to give my seat up!

DC1 due on 16/07/17. No experience with babies so I'm doing a lot of reading

I've gradually told people at work over the last week and everyone has been quite surprised! Told people at my running club tonight and got lots of hugs so that was nice :)

Had midwife this morning, forgot my wee but bp all ok, bloods all came back fine and heard the heartbeat which was lovely and loud

Bawbles glad that went well. Now that you mention wee, midwife gave mine back after using the testing strip and I forgot about it at the bottom of my handbag for a week! 😐

also at the midwife this morning for 16 week appointment. all good with me and spud, and got to hear heart beat, eventually - spud wasn't for cooperating.

being referred to consultant to discuss delivery options because I think best option for both me and baby will be a section.. anyone else looking at an elective?

That made me lol not! I only left mine in my bag for a few hours!

Purple SIL had hers in her handbag for over a month as she switched handbags and left it in a side pocket.

Hello, all! I finally got to have a scan. Baby measured at 14 weeks. Only just made it in time for the NT screening due to my GP surgery messing me about and making me wait 6 weeks to see the midwife. :( Hopefully I won't be getting a phone call in 5 days and everything is OK.

OH got to watch the whole scan and said it was very cute watching it kick it's little legs around! EDD is now 25th July.

I know it's too early but I swear I can feel it moving. It's not wind, I get plenty of that and it feels different.

I swore I felt movement a week or two ago but haven't felt anything else since. I'm eagerly waiting!

I got really worried last night, had flashing lines in my left eye and it got to the point where I couldn't see out of it. Thought a migraine was on it's way for sure, but it suddenly disappeared after about 20 mins and no sign of a headache. Odd... blood pressure and everything was fine when I saw the midwife last week.

Luci same here I'm sure I felt movement last week but nothing this week

I had a scan today with the consultant where he basically did all the anomaly checks they do at 20weeks (I'm 17+2) it was SO detailed ....actually better than my private scan I had on sat!
Everything looked fine but my 20week scan will be with him not the normal place I had 12week scan done. confirmed again it was a girl and then I had Transvaginal scan to measure cervix due to the treatments I had for cervical cancer but everything was fine and cervix is long enough so he doesn't think there will be any issues with premature birth
Poor DH did not know where to put his face when they got the dildo cam out I said he will have to get use to seeing people meddling down there for when the baby actually comes!!

Does everyone really carry their notes everywhere with them?

Drew when DD was born, I was working 90 minutes (two cities) away from home. I had a hospital bag at work towards the end, and used to take my notes in with me every day. DH had instructions on how to get to the maternity bit of the hospital where I was working. If I were going a long way from home for the weekend or whatever, then yes I'd take my notes. But while I'm still near my local hospital, they stay at home.

I got told off by midwife for not carrying them. I'm 13+5!

I've taken my notes to every appointment. All the appointment letters say to take them. They always get looked at/written in so I think I'd get told off if I didn't take them. I was surprised when I went to the antenatal department of the hospital for the first time and saw all the patient files there. I thought it would all be on computer by now. But why change things if the current system works I guess?

Drew, do you mean for not bringing them to your appointment? Or for not toting them with you to the shops?

I carry my notes with me everywhere. They are in my work backpack with my work laptop which I normally carry with me everywhere anyway.

As for hospital bag, I plan to pack mine at about 30wks but I have started getting things that I want to go into it with my usual food shopping, e.g. last Tesco delivery had a pack of maternity pads and disposable pants in it. It is probably too late but I like being in control and I'm known to pack for holiday up to 1 month before travel.

Rhodes glad your consultant appointment went well and you got to see your baby girl again and that your cervix is in perfect condition (not sure these are the right words) . I would love to have another scan right now as I really don't know what is going on with mine.

Luci I thought I felt movement on Tuesday and this morning but still not sure. It's like little gentle nudges on the inside that I assume will get firmer as baby gets bigger.

My tummy was shrunken this morning. Should it not be sticking out by now at 17+5? I guess the only thing that shows something is happening that my linea negra is very prominent now.

How far away is work? If I needed to go to the maternity bit of this hospital, DH could get my notes to me in about ten minutes.

About 50 min. Getting notes then to hospital would probably be 90 min.
