Hi kits, I had mine yesterday. She found the heartbeat but didn't measure my tummy or anything. She said she would start that from the 25week appointment. She took urine sample but only because last time mine came back with uti but I had no symptoms and she took blood pressure/filled out the file. I wasn't in there much more than 10mins.

I had consultant appointment this week, referred due to having ventouse in last delivery, no complications this time around so I've been discharged

Really relieved as I've chosen a birthing centre to have baby and would have had to transfer to the consultant led labour ward if I wasn't midwife led.

16 week midwife appointment next week so hopefully I'll hear heartbeat too.

The constipation and bloating stage is well and truly over for me but now I have a distinct hard bump,

I'm somewhere around 14 weeks, but still permanently exhausted. It's just dawned on me that I could be anaemic, so I'm going to be sourcing broccoli for lunch!

Spin definitely get yourself some broccoli goodness. Midwife told me that my 9 week bloods showed I was borderline anaemic (1 point off before they put you suppliments). I was still very sick at the time and not eating much then but hopefully the diet has improved for the last few weeks.

Had my 16 week midwife appointment today (even though I'm actually 18 weeks now!)

It was just blood pressure, pee on a stick no idea what for, heartbeat (which was absolutely AMAZING!!), and a general chat about how I'm feeling. I recorded the heartbeat and can't stop listening to it!

Booked in again for 3rd March.

20 week scan is on 8th feb, can't wait!

I had my 16wk appointment on Wednesday and the midwife didn't listen to the heartbeat. I was quite disappointed. She didn't do anything other than write my hospital results into my book. Told me my iron levels were fine from booking appoint even though I have been taking iron tablets for the past 7 weeks on the first midwifes orders. The whole appointment was

kits my back has been acting up for a few weeks now. Hopefully it is just down to muscles stretching and whatnot and that its not going to be a constant thing because some days its absolute agony and my midwife told me I could only have paracetamol which don't help in the slightest!

These 16 week midwife appointments seem a bit hit and miss don't they. Booked mine today and realised when I put it in my calendar that's it's at exactly 15 weeks :S

Cat my 20 week scan is at 18+6. No idea why so early either, though I'm glad not to wait too long for the next scan.

cat my mw appointment will be 15 weeks ish too because I was nearly a week further behind at the dating scan but the mw appointment was already booked. It really doesn't matter on the dates. My scans were different last time too. This was was 13 weeks and last time it was 11.

I just had my gender scan and I'm having a girl! She had her legs over her head so had a good view.

Popped into Choices today and got a pair of Next smart maternity jogger style trousers for work for just £6!!! They'll be perfect for when I'm approaching whale size in the summer!! (Also got a few more unisex baby bits - whoops!)

I bought some extremely unsightly but comfy hareem style yoga pants from amazon. Perfect maternity lazing around the house type of thing but have speckled them in bleach today cleaning the bathrooms. Oops

Well that was a surprise. Just had another dating scan, which has put me about ten days ahead of where I thought I was. Official EDD is 11/7/17.

DDs EDD was 12/7/12. Am now looking for all the reasons why sharing your birthday with your sibling is brilliant.

Anterior placenta (which is partly why my first dating scan failed), so won't expect to feel anything for a while.

Wow spin that's a massive difference! Great for you to be put further on though.

Spin - my DH shares a birthday with his bro. He says it's great as you can always remember their birthdays as you get older. Combined parties bring more people and have an awesome atmosphere. They're quite close too (3 years apart) and we see that bro the most, even been on holiday with him several times.
