Does anyone have any recommendations for maternity jeans for 'larger' ladies?

I'm a bit of a funny shape anyway. Big legs and hips but waist not too bad so lots of shops don't seem to fit me normally. But I discovered Bon Marche size 18 fits great so I've bought one style from them for about 4 years. Now the seam is going on the inside leg (always happens sooner or later) so I wanted to get some that would accommodate a bump when one arrives!

But everywhere I've looked online seems to be out of stock in size 18 or 20.

I've bought a size 20 from Bon Marche this time but imagine I'll need an actual maternity pair in a couple of months. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I'm 17 weeks today and can't wait to feel flutters! This is dc1 so probably will be a while yet going by the norm.

So I've been to hospital, had my scan, and had my dates moved forwards! I'm now officially 15+5 weeks pregnant and all looks good. Consultant has booked me in for scans every four weeks and to see him every four weeks too. He was brilliant, really made me feel better about it all. He is more than happy for me to have my elective section and sterilisation at the same time. He also said they would probably book me in at around 37/38 weeks if we can keep baby in there that long. My last baby was born at 30 weeks by emergency section after my blood pressure went through the roof and refused to come down. He's done all the bloods and taken some extras for kidney function and liver function. Couldn't get any estimates on the gender but I do have a picture so may have a little look later and see if I can make any predictions! 20 week scan booked for in four weeks time.

Had my scan today (after not receiving an appointment in the post I called on weds this week and got in quickly). All looks good. Baby wiggling and heartbeat seen. They've nudged me forward a few days so my EDD is now 23/07/17.

They couldn't do the measuring for downs due to the position of the baby. Has this happened to anyone else?

Katie have they invited you back for another scan? I had mine yesterday and it took 40mins to get the measurements, sonographer said if I hadn't have been the last appointment for the day she would have stopped after 20 mins and asked me to come back another day.

Katie where were you? We were at Kings (which was amazing) it took an hour to get the measurements but they persevered. Definitely worth making sure you can go back.

Katie, yes - happened to me on Weds. I got a new appointment in the post today, to go back a week tomorrow. By LMP, I'll be 14+3 (but earlier by other scans), so I might miss the triple test for Downs etc. But there's another set of measurements - the quad test - that they can do instead.

I want an official due date though .

So I'm thinking, going by my chat with the consultant today, that I've joined the wrong month thread! Official due date is 2/7/17, but he is expecting to book me in for a section at 37-38 weeks, which means baby will be born in June! Whoops!

Dances I got moved to June too, but had settled in this thread and didn't want to start on a new one, so I stuck here! My official due date is 23rd June! It's my first so I'll probably be late anyway 🤔

Dance don't worry I'm in the same boat, I think there are a few of us hiding out still!

And I think I'm more likely to be August than July, given my (and my family's) history.

I'm in the same boat too really. Official due date is 13th July but I've been told not to expect to get beyond 37 weeks as it's twins. I like it here though

They got the measurement to give me an edd but it was just the neck measurement they couldn't get. I wasn't given another appointment for a scan. I'm at city hospital Nottingham.

I was the other way round - they could have got the NT, but without CRL that's no use.

So I need another scan to get a due date.

The quad test is a blow is just a blood test, so you will probably be offered that.

I've got my scan tomorrow. I'll be 12+4 by my dates. Will be interesting to see how they move me. Also having the NT screening. Can't believe this day has finally come. Looking forward to seeing the bean again. Anyone else got scans this week?

I've not got a scan but got my 2nd midwife appointment on Friday where she should listen to the heartbeat. Looking forward to that. My next scan is 8th feb.

Good luck tinkling - I'm currently in that limbo period (14+1) where it feels like ages until I have my next appointment. It must be such a relief when you start to feel the baby moving!

Hi Tinkling mine is tomorrow afternoon!! I'll be 13 based on LMP but I don't think I ovulated until CD18 so wouldn't be surprised if I measure less - more like 12+3. If I'm it's measuring bigger then it must just be a big baby - I'd be surprised neither myself nor DH are tall!

Are you excited or nervous? I think I'm more excited than anything!!

Hi everyone, 16 1 today. A definite bump is starting to appear, still there even in the morning.

I had my 16wk midwife appointment on Friday and all went well. My 8wk bloods returned low iron levels so I will have to watch out for that. I think they have improved since as I am eating better now and not as sick as before.

Midwife also said that they don't normally listen to the heartbeat at this point but if I want to she could try and not to be alarmed if she couldn't find it. She found it almost immediately, baby was still in the pelvic area so she had to press quite deep. The heartbeat sounded like a train in the distance, she most of sound was absorbed by bones in the pelvic and that the sound will be much louder next time when baby grows out of the pelvic. Nonetheless, it gave me a bit of reassurance as I was starting to worry as no bump and no symptoms.

I bought a cocoonababy on ebay for less than half the price and it had been barely used. We have washed the covers again though just be sure. I wanted to start getting most things after the 20wk scan but dh could not help himself with this one.

DH has also got the concept for how he wants the nursery to look like so he will start decorating it in the wks after 20 wks. Sometimes I wonder what he feels about the whole thing; I think sometimes them not being the ones pregnant makes them feel a little redundant(if that's the right word).

Tinkling I would have been more nervous at the 12wk scan but I had had a private scan the week before.

Lally for that sane reason, I brought the 16wk midwife appointment forward by a week from 16 6 to 15 6 as I was getting desperate for some assurance. Just listening to the heartbeat gave me that and I hope it's enough till 10th Feb for 20wk scan.

Hi all, just checking in. Hope everyone is doing okay!

DH has pointed out that my tummy has firmed up over the last couple of days and he thinks I've got a bit of a bump forming, I can't see it myself but it's exciting either way!

On the other hand I've been reading birth stories on here and have scared myself silly. It keeps feeling so far away but I'm sure it will be here in no time at all and I feel like I haven't given the birth bit any thought yet. Stepping away in to my 'still have six months to go' denial now!

We've been to Ikea today to get storage. We are having some building work on house in the spring which will mean the back section (existing extension) will be removed and rebuilt so will be losing my kitchen for a good few months and won't have a nursery.

As baby will be in with us for first six months anyway that's not a big issue but we'll also have to fit all the baby's clothes/belongings into our room too.

We've bought a tall bookcase unit which will need to act as baby wardrobe /house changing stuff etc.

If this doesn't motivate me not to overbuy baby stuff nothing will!
