My midwife would like me to be seen again as soon as I've moved and not wait for 25 weeks as my blood pressure was up at last appointment, do need to get registered with the new go as soon as I've moved now. Though I'm fairly sure the move will be causing the increased blood pressure!

Luci I'm sure I'm having a boy, and although I don't mind either way I'm struggling to find a boys name that I love as much as the one we have picked out for a girl. That's a silly reason to care about but it's niggling at me a bit! We will find out at the next scan if baby is cooperative.

I have names I love for a boy or a girl but my husband doesn't like them! I know it's his baby too but I don't want to end up having to call it something I don't love!

Obviously I don't mind what I have, but we have lots of girls in our family already so would be nice to bring a boy into the family. But I have no idea why I'm convinced that it's a girl! I have names for both though! I get all excited trying to guess haha.

We plan on finding out at the next scan whether boy or girl. DH would like a girl, I thought I didn't mind whichever but I have found myself recently siding more heavily on the girl side. We have the perfect girl name but we have not found a boy name we like yet. I can already see a dd wit the name, what they might look like, etc but I haven't pictured a ds in the same way. I want us to find out at 20wks so that if it is a boy, it should hopefully help us refocus and get used to the idea of a boy, also help us a build a picture of him and how he might look like, my side of the family or dhs and most importantly, concentrate on finding him a name that we both agree on. Either way boy or girl, I have wanted a child for a while now that deep down it really doesn't matter.

We are finding out the sex on sat 21st jan as we have a private scan booked, I'll be 16+4. we haven't got a preference at all but I just really can't wait to find out.

We didn't find out with DD, and I don't think we will this time either. We (esp DH tbh) don't want to take anything for granted, and get too attached iyswim. Not that being team yellow would make much of a dent in a loss, but hey. We didn't settle on names before DD was born for the same reason.

I'm convinced I'm having a boy, no idea why - haven't had a single scan yet so nothing to base it on!!! Just have a feeling...

I'm not planning on finding out the sex but DH would like to. I'm sure I'll win this battle though

Rhodes how much is your private scan to find out the sex if you don't mind me asking? I had my 12 week scan today all good edd is now 21.07. I really want to find out the sex but DP doesn't want to, so annoying.

I'm having a surprise too! Already turned down the chance to find out with the harmony and the CVS so I'm sure I'll wait now! Also looking forward to midwife appointment next week for some reassurance.

Harvest, glad your 12wks scan was all good! it was £45 with life thru a lens which I think is a small chain. Didn't think that was too bad.

We've decided not to find out, and have decided on names for both, though may change them if the name doesn't feel right when we see him/her. We keep changing our minds on what it is, though I've been favouring boy more. I'd love a girl, but tbh I don't mind as any baby will be a blessing.

Thanks Rhodes that's much less than I expected. We have a girls name all ready but can't agree on a boys name, it's so difficult.

I have a girls name I absolutely love but DH doesn't "love" it .... he doesn't hate it either but he thinks it's unusual....it isn't, it's quite an old fashioned english name. We do now have a boys we both agree on (so maybe a boy would be easier) but I love my girl name more than our boy name.

I have two boys names I love but just can't convince DP they are both quite different uncommon names but not totally out there iyswim

I've not checked in for a while here, as had mainly been using the Facebook group.

I had my scan last week and my EDD was moved to 21/7. All looking healthy. My screening results came back as high risk, so I've had a harmony test done too. Just waiting for the results, but being as positive as possible.

I'm enjoying reading everyone's updates.

Hi Hella my results came back as 1/13 and everything was fine. It was horrible waiting for the results, I'm thinking of you. Lots of people come back as high risk and are fine, I found that reassuring. I hope that the time doesn't drag too much while you wait.

I ate leftover takeaway and some of it was not piping hot. I've worked myself into a nervous mess now :(

Drew please don't worry; I am sure it is fine and also, I am pretty sure those guidelines are just so you avoid food poisoning which is particularly wretched if pregnant. I am sure it will be ok.

I totally understand though - I ate steak that wasn't completely murdered and panicked.

But it was fine honestly!

16 week scan - will see how it goes. Worried if they try for a heart beat and don't get one then I'll be extra panicky but let's see. This is such a hard time between scans when you can't feel it yet to reassure you.

Hope all those waiting for tests and scans go ok. I was at Kings and intermediate risk so had the harmony and it was completely fine. In fact it shows what a proxy those initial measures are.

Hi Hella, due date twin! Fingers crossed for you that you get the results you're hoping for.

Feeling stressed. We opted for NIPT in place of the nucal fold test and having spent all this week worrying about the results they've now rung me to say my sample had inadequate DNA. I've got to have it repeated again on Monday - I am driving myself half crazy worrying and googling!

Morning ladies. I have refused the screening tests as I know the results would not change anything and would just make me panic. This is a stance I have taken in all my pregnancies. However, this morning I am very anxious and worried about my scan for no real reason other than I am going on my own. I wish dh was coming with me but he has to work and as we haven't told anyone yet that I am pregnant he can't very easily get out of it.

Dh is convinced this baby will be a boy and has already chosen his name. I also have an inkling it could be a boy (more because a girl would be more convenient!), im going to ask if the sonographer can see today but at 15 weeks I'm sure they'll say no.

I opted not to have any screening tests too. I've waited so long for a baby that I'm seeing it through no matter what and I figured why spend months worrying about it when I can just try to enjoy the pregnancy then deal with whatever happens once baby is here.

I hate surprises so I had the blood test (came back fine) and I will find out the sex!
My youngest doesn't want another sister so if it is she will have more time to get used to it!

Had my 12 week scan this morning and all went well!! :)
