Effy welcome to the thread. I too are overweight and I can't tell yet whether mine is the usual flab or is baby making their presence known yet.

With regards to the cramps, just been to the loo and wee and that seemed to stop the pain. I guess I just needed to go to the toilet.

I had that too today notyet. Didn't think a simple wee would sort it all out!!
My new edd is 17/07, sorry I forgot to mention that!

Effy I am on DC2 and started a bump pretty early - 9 weeks ish but think it was bad bloat. Only really hardening up now a bit. Probably didn't help that I had to eat all the time to manage nausea so pretty sure it's a cracker and sweet bump!

Has anyone seen the midwife at 16 weeks yet? Have my appointment Monday and wondering if she will listen for a heartbeat.

Fliss my midwife appointment is on the 18th and was also wondering about the heartbeat I'm hoping to get a recording for dd who is nearly 6 because she is super excited about becoming a big sister again

I have my 16wk appointment next Wednesday fliss. Midwife said to ask DH if he wanted to come as she would try and listen to the heartbeat.
I have a little bump (first baby though) and people who I haven't told have guessed I'm pregnant so must be noticeable but I'm still so bloated and gassy I'm wondering if it's that.

Floss had mine yesterday and got to listen to the heartbeat . It was unexpected but lovely to have some reassurance.

Off to my scan in a bit... properly nervous.

I got my letter for screening bloods back today. Low risk for all, so that's a nice to know. One less thing to stress about.

I bought maternity tights a couple of weeks ago when I needed some new ones, and they're constantly falling down. Might have to buy some normal ones to save my embarrassment!

Well, that went better than my last 12 week scan (in that there is a live baby there). Got some good pictures (for which I didn't pay - perk of the job!).

But not a cooperative baby. No amount of fizzy pop or me wriggling was going to shift it into line to get measurements. So I need to go back in ten days or so. Sonographer was happy with everything, but no trisomy screening results (so no telling DD or anyone else) for a few more weeks.

Good news spindella and congrats to everyone else whose had their scans.

EDD 16/07 and this will be baby number 2 if I can be added to the list.

I've just thrown up part of my tea and all the choices I was scoffing so I defo feel sick. Was really hoping it would tail off but I feel like I might be in for a full 9 months of sickness like last time.
Has anyone else found that they've lost weight in first trimester? Can't remember if it happens ed last time or not or if it's due due to keep being sick but I currently weigh less that I did pre preg with the first one. And I've spent 2 years trying to be at this weight.
I know it's all gonna change as I get bigger anyway Hut just not sure of I should be concerned about keeping loosing weight. I've lost half a stone since getting bfp :s
(Yet I can't fasten any jeans and am now either doing the bobble round the button trick or wearing leggings so I'm deffo bloated or somethin)

I have my 16 week appointment with the midwifes in two weeks, what will this involve? It's just the first time I'm going without my partner and with my mum.

Also Can't stop crying! My boyfriend bought me Fresh pasta instead of dried, Cried because "He cares about me so much" Strange this.

My sleep was a bit better last night, I woke up at 2.30 to pee and that was it. I do spend a lot of time figiting tho, I miss sleeping on my back!

Hi, can I join this thread please? I am a bit apprehensive, as I am currently pregnant with baby no. 6. I am due on the seventh of July but only found out when I was 11.5 weeks gone, just before Christmas. I thought I had a mirena coil in place stopping this from happening but apparently it appears to have fallen out unnoticed and so here we are. I already have five much loved children, dd1, 14, ds1, 10, ds2, 9, dd2 7 and dd3, two next month. My main reasons for not having been actively trying to get pregnant are the fact that dd3 was 10 weeks premature due to my high blood pressure, and I didn't want to risk it again. However, here we are! And tomorrow, when I will be 15 weeks, I have my first proper scan appointment and a first consultant appointment. So that's me! Oh and I'm 32, if it's relevant!

Just checking in as I haven't posted in a while, loving seeing all the scans and bumps!
I had my 12 week scan last week and all is looking well. Definitely think we're having another boy but we'll see at the 20 week scan on Feb 28th. I don't feel pregnant at all, I've been really lucky not to suffer with sickness and I don't have much of a bump yet but I was exactly the same with DC1 so I'm not stressing. Hope those of you feeling rough start feeling better soon!

I feel nervous already for my midwife app next week. I'm worried in case she can't find a heartbeat, but suppose I need to just try and chill until then, worrying doesn't help anything!

For some reason I am currently convinced that I am having a girl. There is no reason for me to think that, I just do! Anyone else had that with dc1 and been right?!

Hi everyone, I have moved my midwife 16 wk appointment forward to tomorrow (at 15+6) instead of next week Friday as I have had cramps for the last few days. It is probably nothing but I would rather have it checked out than constantly worrying about it.

Yeah lucy I was convinced ds1 was a boy and I may have even exclaimed "I told you so" at dh in the scan room. I'm sure this one is a girl but I think it's just wishful thinking. Would love to give dh the girl I know he wants but I'd be happy with either.wouldn't have another if this was a girl either. But I know there's zero science in it and there's a 50 50 chance of being right. Might as well ask a psychic or swing a button over your stomach.

Luci I'm the same about my midwife appointment next week, I'm trying not to think like that, I've got no reason to believe anything is wrong.
Are you finding out the sex luci or waiting for a surprise?

I have no reason to believe anything is wrong either, think it's just because we get left for so long in between appointments, I need some reassurance again.

I'm not finding out. I like surprises and I love babies in white and cream for the first few weeks anyway whatever they are!
