I'm constantly bloated too dixie, seems to be worse in the evenings, I look about 4 months gone rather than 2! Going to be difficult hiding it from work next week Confused

ZigAZigAhh · 30/12/2016 21:26

Thank you everyone for the reassurance about the "dashing to the loo" side of things - very relieved it's fairly normal (but sorry to hear so many of you are "enjoying" it).

Congrats on your scans MrsG, Fatty and HaichM (although sorry to hear about your hyperemesis) - very exciting!

Brainfried - thanks for that link, very reassuring, and Lixon that sounds like a great book with sensible advice, I might get myself a copy.

I think a home birth would be great, so much more relaxing and comfortable being in your own surroundings. Sadly as DC1 was an EMCS I think that has ruled me out of home birth/water birth territory but something to discuss with the midwives I suppose.

ZigAZigAhh · 30/12/2016 21:28

And Dixie - yes yes yes to the bloating. I am full of gas which keeps escaping from both ends (Shock) and am definitely starting to resemble a balloon!

Dixiechick1991 · 30/12/2016 21:38

wanting I know I'm back at work on Tuesday and I just know that everybody who has already been asking me if/when I'm pregnant will be watching me rush for a wee every 10 minutes and burping like a mad woman!

zig gah I can't cope with it. It hasn't been the bottom end as much but I sound like a big old man - my DH is disgusted at me haha they take my breath away!

HaichM · 30/12/2016 22:03

Can I join the bloating and burping club please? Been a constant for almost 3 weeks now along with cramps. I'm hoping they die down at 12 weeks. I don't remember it being this bad with DC1 (this is DC2)

thenorthernluce · 30/12/2016 22:27

Returned home from the family festivities this afternoon to find letters for a booking appointment (12 Jan, 10+3) and scan (12+3) - hurrah!! I'm having a private scan next Tuesday at the Fetal Medical Centre, so fingers crossed the bean is still in there.

I'm taking great comfort from progressing through these early weeks with all you ladies, so a massive thanks for the frequent posts and willingness to answer any and all questions Smile

MochaChocaChino · 30/12/2016 22:36

Hi everyone sorry to hear about all the bloating, I can definitely relate to that! Also worried about how I'm going to hide my bump next week at work...

I'm 9+1 today and had my booking in apt with the midwife it was so lovely as it was the same midwife I had with my DS few years ago and she was great.

Downside though was she couldn't find a vein to get any blood so I ended up at the local hospital this afternoon at the path lab for take two. All sorted now thankfully but top tip make sure you're really hydrated when you go. I obviously hadn't had enough to drink this morning so missed my afternoon snooze while DS napped as a result - damn!Wink

TeamLentil · 31/12/2016 06:39

Hi everyone - no news on my side (good news?) other than I'm visiting my parents who are half delighted and half in shock as none of us were expecting this Grin. I can relate to the bloating, in fact I'm extremely gassy at the moment Blush despite drinking what feels like all the water in the world and peeing every three seconds.

Blink1982 · 31/12/2016 11:08

Got my scan date for the 17th. Should be spot on 12 wks. Slightly gutted I don't work Tuesdays so I don't get free time off work 😁

Helenwest · 31/12/2016 11:27

Hi all,
I'm cautiously joining after lurking! I'm five weeks and four days today, due august 29th. I'll be a single mum after trying for 2+ years with a gay friend. This little bean is the result of ivf. I'm so anxious that it won't stick! First scan at eight weeks at the ivf clinic on Jan 17th. I haven't told my gp yet as I'm moving house in about a month and will change practices then.
Wasn't it lovely to be able to tell family face to face over xmas? Fab timing! Everyone knew I was doing ivf because it made me pretty sick with migraines, so a lot of people already know about this pregnancy.
I still don't really believe that it's real!

WantingBaby1 · 31/12/2016 15:02

Welcome Helen!

How's everyone feeling today? I'm having family over tonight but been struck down with 'morning' sickness again. My friend swears by ice lollies so I'm trying one.

Great news on your mw apt mocha

MrsG280516 · 31/12/2016 15:18

Hey wanting I've been feeling sick on and off today. Strangely it's when my stomach starts to get empty so I feel like I'm constantly eating to keep the nausea away.

Dixiechick1991 · 31/12/2016 16:49

I've barely felt sick today only once or twice and not as bad as the past couple of days. Obviously I've now worried myself silly & I'm panicking every time I go to the loo.
anyone else a massive worrier! Sad

Lixon · 31/12/2016 17:02

Welcome Helen. For the newcomers there is a secret Facebook group set up by sociallyacceptablecookie if you'd like to join. You just need to message her with your email address and she can send you A link.

I'm constantly worrying about symptoms or lack of, suspect I have 30+ weeks of that ahead!! Nausea here this afternoon too, definitely worse if I haven't eaten so just eating lots of junk...

In exciting news I managed to get enough sleep to wear contact lenses for the first time in about a month but I'm already ready for a nap!! I hope everyone has relaxing evenings planned...

Emeraude · 31/12/2016 17:21

Wantingbabies - my freezer is stocked with Fruit Pastilles lollies. I may or may not have had one for breakfast.

Blink1982 · 31/12/2016 17:32

Please tell me if the ice lollies are a success!

Emeraude · 31/12/2016 17:41

They have definitely worked for me a couple of times.

WantingBaby1 · 31/12/2016 17:54

They helped me too! mrs I think it's fairly common to get nausea when you're hungry. My downfall is eating too many crisps when hungry and then not managing dinner!

The nausea, and most other symptoms (apart from boobs feeling so damn heavy) come and go, I wouldn't worry dixie

Happy new year all :)

putputput · 31/12/2016 18:14

I'm out. Second blood test tomorrow to confirm. but everything looks bleak. Utterly heartbroken.
Wishing you all the best with your pregnancies x

Cocochops · 31/12/2016 18:42

So sorry put thinking of you Flowers

Fieldsandgrasses · 31/12/2016 18:49

So very sorry, Put.

Brainfried1986 · 31/12/2016 19:10

So sorry put :(

Dixie - I've been worried all day cos I feel better than yesterday... still weird feeling boobs & bloated like nothing else, but less sick feeling than for a while - and worried every time I go to the loo... my other half says I'm gonna be worried for at least the next 20yrs so I should just get used to it!

ZigAZigAhh · 31/12/2016 19:33

Oh put, that's awful news, so very sorry. Thinking of you Flowers

Denna81 · 31/12/2016 22:01

So sorry to hear this put Flowers

thenorthernluce · 31/12/2016 22:12

So sorry, Put. I hope you have lots of love and support at this difficult time Flowers
