Baby Beatrice made her arrival into the world at 23.24 on 27 December, 6lb 7oz of loveliness. She was 2 days overdue, and a relatively easy delivery.

For those still waiting if you haven't ordered a TENS machine DO IT - best £25 I have ever spent. I was 7cm dilated when I got to the hospital, and delivered her on gas and air only in around 4 hours. The TENS machine was AMAZING and gave my husband something to do being responsible for the boost button!

She is actually 6lb 5oz but who's counting!

Thanks ladies! Stubble I hope something starts for you soon. Mine was started at 2pm and not much more than a few mild cramps really.

A belated birth announcement from me too - baby girl Admarks was born on 22 December by ELCS as she was breech. It's been a whirlwind 6 days - never been so tired in my life, but she more than makes up for it!

Back to hospital tomorrow for tongue tie so hopefully can make some progress with breast feeding (been expressing and formula feeding whilst my nipples recover from the shredding they've had)!

Another announcement here- babyBella was born on 27th December by EMCS after my waters broke Xmas morning and labour failed to progress (after various attempts) and baby finally getting stuck at the last opportunity due to his head facing sideways! We're now team BLUE and have had the wonderful experience of the torpedo willy firing pee all over DH, himself, me and the room around us!!

Hope there are more arrivals soon, especially for those who've waited long enough to meet ther little ones!

Put the baby in my bed last night around 1am and she woke just after 6, I knew there was a reason I co-slept with the others! I'm still going to try and avoid it unless it has to be done though.

bigfam I went in at 3am, they confirmed the waters were leaking and then I went home by 4am to wait for contractions to increase in intensity and frequency but they never did so I enjoyed all of xmas day at home with family!!

I had convinced myself that my regular waves of pain were wind, despite the bloody show etc...

Bigfam I am already struggling not to co sleep and I'm in a narrow hospital bed with her... just so tired!

I did co-sleep with DS (though not in a hospital bed!) because he just wouldn't be put down, but DD (first time I've written that I think!) is easier as she was used to all sorts in NICU. Once she realises she CAN sleep on me though, all hell may break loose if she doesn't, little thing.

Congrats on all the new arrivals! Can't believe all of our babies will be here soon!

With co-sleeping I'm trying not to do it but have better and worse nights of getting her to sleep in her moses basket, and if it gets to 1am-ish and she still hasn't settled for any period of time then I cave and co-sleep because I can't face being awake most of the night and then having to be up all day with a toddler and a baby. The thing is when I co-sleep I often can get a good 5 hour stretch or similar at a time which just gets so tempting! We have co-slept the past two nights but we're all down with colds here and I think that is making baby KitKat extra clingy. Hoping she gets less adverse to the Moses basket once she's better.

When are people planning on trying to implement a proper sleep routine? I think we're planning on doing it at about 3 months. At the moment she's just going to bed whenever we are.

It's so tempting isn't it?! Romy's the first baby I've had that's slept in her own bed for more than a few nights, so I'd really like to stick to it, like kitkat said though, on the really tough nights at least I know it will work...
Anyone else's lo got the dreaded newborn acne yet?

Chook Nipple shields saved my boobs when we had thrush, maybe give them a go. A bit of a faf but worth it sore nipples is awful so I hope you feel better soon. My HV told me not to express as it's a false suck and might make it worse. Also rubbing some milk and letting it dry helps healing. I struggled through the thrush and still bf but it was so tough.

We co slept for the first 5 weeks but we're making progress with the next to me crib. Euan the sleep sheep has helped with settling baby when he's in there. My hubby sleeps in the spare room but hoping to move back in soon. There are safe sleep guidelines,

My lb was 6 weeks on Christmas Day. We are having little smiles now, which are gorgeous. He is so alert and aware of the world, can see him learning. Still piling the weight on which is great too. All Rosie in Rosie corner x

Any news from Bumbleclat?

Yay. Never thought i would see my name on the arrivals.
We are home now and I've a very sleepy baby. Im having to wake him for feeds which he isnt very good at. Bottle feeding.

Any advice on swolled feet/ankles. Mine are huge..

Congrats to all other arrivals, i havent had a chance to read back yet..

Think they say to put feet in cold icy water. And to keep elevated. I bet it's nice to be home my DD is still a sleepy baby and we have to bottle feed her while she is asleep it's a very strange feeling.

Nurse thanks for the recommendation of nipple shields, I will definitely get some. Bless you coping with thrush, heard it's really tough.

Left nipple is still laid up, but right nipple has rallied today and is back in action. Hopefully bit more tlc I'll be firing on both cylinders again!

Finally!! Turnip 2 arrived this afternoon 13 days late and a whopper at 9lb 15 - in the birthing pool on Gas & Air. He came within an hour of active labour, not sure my pelvic floor will recover

I had a Christmas Day baby boy weighing 10lb 9oz! Luckily my older DCs didn't notice I was in labour so they had a great Christmas morning .
