Advice needed!! Ive had constant back pain all day, have hardly been able to do anything.. is this just early stages, its not lower back but more around central middle..

wetpebbles · 25/12/2016 20:45

New baby alert. Baby wetpebbles arrived in Christmas Eve after painful induction as doctor felt her growth may have slowed. She weighed in at 7lb 10 and after a successful start to breast feeding and restful night on the ward we were home late xmas morning. Now all tucked up in bed I am hoping her placid manner is a sign of good things to comeSmile

NurseRosie · 25/12/2016 21:36

Congrats to the new mummies.
Merry Christmas everyone x

Oriana sounds like an experience, fingers crossed baby can come home soon.

Hope you've all had a fab Christmas, Turnip2 has stayed put so had a lovely day at home with DH & DD. Baby is now allowed to turn up anytime soon!

Bumbleclat · 26/12/2016 14:27

Cramps are mild and still losing plug. Just had ridiculously long and deep sleep. Feel quite sedated!
Im thinking of popping into town to get some juice and bits but maybe not a wise idea.

Popskipiekin · 26/12/2016 15:56

Bumble I did that (also 40+5!) and had a baby in a couple of hours! Is all your stuff ready for hospital?? Good luck!
Bonkers hope you get home soon.

Bumbleclat · 26/12/2016 17:47

Popskipiekin Hospital bag was packed but had to go in earlier this week so need to repack it (Im aiming for a HB but need to get one sorted in case)
Cramps have gone off and feeling quite active and fine but still losing plug :) so exciting, could be tonight!

KitKat1985 · 26/12/2016 20:52

Oooh exciting Bumble. Any progress?

Bonkers sorry to hear you are back in hospital. Hope you feel better soon. xx

How has everyone found Christmas? I feel a bit flat about it all this evening as I love Christmas normally but found it all a bit hard going this year. I guess it's just been tiring, with a toddler and a baby who has me on 24-hour boob call. DH left me to do all the cooking and washing up on Christmas day Hmm which to be honest when combined with breast-feeding and a trip to see my parents meant that I didn't really get to chill all day. DD1 was pretty good but a bit over-whelmed by everything as the day went on, and then had a recurrent tantrum about her advent calendar having run out of chocolate. Hmm Today she has had a cold and has been snotty and coughing all day, which may explain the grumpiness yesterday (and today)! Then today we went to DH's family which involved 12 adults (one of whom has advanced Alzheimers), 4 very over-excited young children, 1 baby and 2 lively dogs, so you can imagine the noise and chaos. Plus there was some tensions among some of the adult family members and a bit of an atmosphere at times, so quite relieved to get home to be honest. To top it all I was hoping to chill and watch something with DH this evening but he's taken over the television to do something with his computer server instead. I think tomorrow will be better as we can keep DD1 in her routine and don't have any pressure to be anywhere, so can chill a bit more.

Bumbleclat · 26/12/2016 21:00

Wow KitKat you're made of strong stuff!
No progress just feeling extremely low energy even though I had the mother of all power naps today. Lots needs doing housework wise but DH had bad cold his cough is irritating me so bad! and I can't really stand up I feel so energy- zapped Confused

Plug still coming out and bad heart burn generally feel a bit ratty may have a bath to relax.

DartmoorDoughnut · 27/12/2016 07:59

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, going to try and catch up with news! Monty says happy Christmas Grin

Thisisbonkers · 27/12/2016 14:19

I'm still in hospital and will be until tomorrow 🙁 But BabyBonkers has put weight on so that cheered me up a bit. Only 6.3% below birth weight now. And his tongue tie is getting fixed tomorrow. Then hopefully things are on the up!

StubbleTurnips · 27/12/2016 15:13

Those who've had baby - and it's not your first...... help!

I'm having a bit of a meltdown. It's our last day as a family of 3, we've pottered and watched films just at home together. I seem to be having a crisis that baby coming will ruin things for poor DD. She keeps telling us she loves us and had the best Christmas ever, I feel terrible with back pain and over emotional.

Someone tell me I'm being ridiculous Confused

Glad things are on the up Bonkers.

Stubble I had similar concerns but have been genuinely impressed by how DD1 has reacted to baby DD2. Most of the time she doesn't pay her much attention, but when she does she does things like stroke her or put blankets on her, and seems quite smitten with her. Yesterday she couldn't find her baby sister and went round the house calling her and looking for her. Smile So it may not be as difficult as you think. Obviously though all children are different, and even if she doesn't accept her sister straight away or is a bit upset by the change, I'm sure she will get used to it in time.

StubbleTurnips · 27/12/2016 15:29

Thanks kitkat she is looking forward to being a sister and is telling us how she can help, I just think I'll miss us as a trio at home...... I found the newborn stage so difficult last time.

Glad you're home tomorrow bonkers and that baby is putting on weight, hopefully with the tongue tie resolved he'll keeping gaining steadily.
Awww bless you stubble I was worried when I found out I was pregnant as Dd3 was my 'baby' and I didn't want her to feel left out, she's had to adjust a bit but she's coping well with Dd4 being here. You'll all be fine once baby arrives and you get into the swing of being a family of 4 Smile

Happy Christmas Monty Dartmoor & family Grin

DartmoorDoughnut · 27/12/2016 18:15

stubble I was exactly the same & felt so SO much guilt about upending DS1's life, totally normal, all my friends said they had the same. He's been fab and loves his little brother, honestly it's fricking adorable BUT I still felt guilt. For the first week it was really bad, I kept crying whilst doing bedtime and apologising to him for not giving him all my attention etc so heads up re the emotions, they're still full on and strong. I get flashes still now when DS1 says things like "give the baby to daddy now mummy and come do xyz" that's a killer! It's all good though Flowers

DartmoorDoughnut · 27/12/2016 18:15

Sounding positive bonkers hope you're home soon Flowers
