Mother Nature is preparing you have!!

MissisBee · 29/11/2016 21:32

tea I was also eating cereal at 5am!

Have had a few days of feeling suddenly way more tired than I thought possible. Was so bad I decided I must be anaemic and got my bloods checked - perfectly normal, I'm just tired. Feeling a bit better today though. Also just heard my friend had a baby girl today. Can't wait to see her!

11+1

LorrieJ · 29/11/2016 21:38

Lovely scans today! It warms my heart seeing tiny, little baby faces.

username we can see your details on your scan if you want to remove / crop/ repost.

I've actually managed to trough enough to feel vaguely full today cupoftea! About 50% of it was healthy too. I feel constant grazing is the way forward. I'm so getting a telling off from the midwife at my 16wk appointment.

haveacupoftea · 29/11/2016 22:10

Oh kitty don't Sad so many things i thought only happened at the end are kicking in really soon!

missis its nice to have company with this! DF thinks i've lost the plot!

lorrie yes just eating constantly, a mix of sugary stuff like fruit and fatty meals is the only way to feel full for me! I am starting to fancy more fruit and veg now though so will try to have something healthy with each meal now.

I'm supposed to be watching my weight too ConfusedBlush

lazybutton · 29/11/2016 22:27

Hey everyone! Sorry will catch up with the all of news in a mo.

Quick question (aka panicking!) - I have my booking appointment tomorrow, can I have breakfast if there's a blood test?!? X

ymmv · 29/11/2016 22:33

Yes lazybutton eat!

It's not fasting bloods.

lazybutton · 29/11/2016 22:35

Thank you ymmv! I'm not a great traveller at the moment & the thought of an empty stomach . . . 😖 x

haveacupoftea · 29/11/2016 23:11

I ate before mine to wake baby up Grin

Masweetpea1 · 30/11/2016 01:25

Ugh, just had to get up and get a bowl of cereal. I was starving. I do hope this means i can sleep now.
six, how was your corset? Did she guess? Smile

Sixisthemagicnumber · 30/11/2016 07:17

I didn't try it in masweet. A few of the students had problems with their garments and took up the tutors time so she didn't get around to me. I just quietly cracked on with sewing the corset and assured the tutor I was fine and didn't need any help. Got away with it this week Grin

oliversmummy26 · 30/11/2016 09:40

So I told my boss yesterday (when I came back from the docs) it was late in the day and he's off for the next 2 days, so I needed to let him know about my scan tomorrow so I can have the time off.

Had to ask him for a chat in hearing of everyone in the office and colleague immediately said "you're pregnant!"...I don't want the others to know yet - my own mother doesn't even know! I have denied and denied and I think she believes me...maybe...but saying I have to go to the hospital tomorrow will only set her off again!

Any suggestions on what to tell them?? Scan is at 12.15pm so right in the middle of the day which is a bugger...I might say I have to wait in for someone, BT engineer or delivery of something and that I should be back in the afternoon..? I would say my son or DH are poorly but hate doing that as it's like tempting fate. Could say I have a migraine I suppose..

I have bloods next week and another scan the week after that, so all the doctors appointments, they're bound to cotton on sooner or later...

Feeling sick, still constipated (and terrified of going to the loo incase I have another bleed) and dreadful headache..

10+2

oliversmummy26 · 30/11/2016 10:13

Just been to the loo and had spotting on a pad and quite a bit of bright red blood when I wiped...loads more than yesterday Sad

ymmv · 30/11/2016 10:48

Dentist oliversmummy26? That can be repeat appointments at inconvenient times..

Hopefully the scan will reassure you. In theory if you've not soaked through a pad it's all in the normal realm. Or so I've read. fx for you xx

oliversmummy26 · 30/11/2016 10:59

If this bleeding continues today, I think I'll just call in sick tomorrow and not bother coming in at all. My boss knows why I'm not in, so I think that should work out..unless I can think of something else.

Mooseville · 30/11/2016 11:20

Don't worry about work oliver You need to take care of yourself and that's more important. Take the day off sick, remember pregnancy related sick doesn't count against you, put your feet up and go for the scan as relaxed as you can.. But like the others said above, if it's not soaking a pad it's a good sign x

mrspage1985 · 30/11/2016 11:23

Fingers crossed Oliver.

Im starting to feel like I've got a cold on the way, had the flu jab but been informed that doesn't protect against colds. My only worry is someone I have worked with last week has come down over the weekend with hand foot and mouth - which is contagious and starts off with very similar symptoms to a cold.
Debating weather to go to the Dr's to get checked or if I'm over reacting?!

oliversmummy26 · 30/11/2016 12:50

Definitely not going in to work tomorrow, I'd go home now, but I'd be home on my own just worrying....at least tomorrow my DH will be home with me.

Still getting blood and some clots when I wipe, and feel horribly sick at the moment, but I suspect that's with worry rather than morning sickness..

Will let you know how I get on tomorrow afternoon, keeping everything crossed.

LorrieJ · 30/11/2016 16:23

Hi Oliversmummy. I hope you're OK and it's stopped / slowed. Have you spoken to anyone today? It might be worthwhile if only for peace of mind to get you through tonight before your scan. Xx

oliversmummy26 · 30/11/2016 16:42

Hi Lorrie it's not really stopped or slowed, but it hasn't increased, so I have to see that as a good sign I guess. Goign to have a night on the sofa and early to bed, then no work tomorrow morning until scan.
Thanks for your concern. I did speak to a midwife at the hospital this morning, but she said as I have a scan booked for tomorrow already there's little chance they could have got me in earlier and to just wait it out.
I have been researching and found that subchorinoric hematomas are fairly common, one of the top reasons for bleeding in first trimester and very manageable with rest, so hoping its' that and trying to stay positive...
Will let you know how I get on tomorrow/overnight.

LorrieJ · 30/11/2016 17:05

Fingers crossed for you. I'm glad you're staying positive. Take care x

MumofthreeandBean · 30/11/2016 18:15

oliversmummy big hugs xx I'm sure all will show well at your scan, plenty of rest until then xxx

Poppydm · 30/11/2016 18:18

Thinking of you Oliversmummy. Look after yourself and get plenty of rest x

MissisBee · 30/11/2016 19:11

Keeping everything crossed for you oliversmummy

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/11/2016 19:18

Thinking of you olivers, hoping the bleed stops soon. Totally normal though from what I can gather. It's just baby keeping you on your toes! X

Scan today went well Smile. One kicking baby with all limbs intact! Was reassured after my worry yesterday as the sonographer said the fluid on the back of the neck is thin, and although I still need bloods to get the ratio it's a good sign. Baby is measuring 12+2 though so I was wrong!! But I was happy as this meant I could tell the world after the scan and now all our friends, family and work know. Everyone has been thrilled.

Got the boring bit tomorrow of paperwork, risk assessments and telling HR at work though!

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/11/2016 19:32

Oh here is scan, a bit blurry though as I zoomed in to crop off my personal details. Can't stop looking at it though!
