Hi everyone can I cautiously put my foot back in? I was in the group in the first trimester (as mummy2squish) but after several bleeds I took a step back. Im very cautiously stepping back in! 16 weeks today.

How is everyone? I'm going to try and catch up a bit!

Passmethecrisps · 04/01/2017 10:49

Welcome back counting

Lesley0912 · 04/01/2017 11:00

Morning ladies, I am quiet on here but read everyday! I am 17+5 now and feeling baby move a lot :) I haven't brought anything yet, I am waiting until after my next scan which is on the 23rd January.

Is it possible to be added to the FB group? I don't know anyone else who is pregnant and would love to talk to people due around the same time!

Thank you :)

Passmethecrisps · 04/01/2017 11:01

Oh and vegan I have pm'd you to be added to the Facebook group.

How are we all by the way? I am mid way through my last week of the holidays so have the edgings of the fear.

Preggo wise and am generally keeping absolutely fine apart from bed time indigestion. That is generally solved though by sleeping on my left so not too bad.

I bought a bunch of maternity clothes from new look as my mil always gives me vouchers for birthday. The stuff is fine and will do the job. The only problem is that I am currently just porky rather than pregnant so they are all too big still. But my normal clothes are uncomfortably tight. Maybe I should lay off the crisps and cheese!

I recall discussion about buying items. I was trying to think back to when we bought things for dd. I think I was at least 25 weeks before we bought stuff. We had it all picked out though. I loved pushchair shopping and am looking forward to getting the carry cot back out and cleaned up. Not that long since dd stopped using it actually - would 4.5 be too old for a board on the back? Dd starts school in August so it might be quite handy for scooting her to school on.

VeganMama83 · 04/01/2017 13:58

lesley message me and I will sort adding you to the group on Facebook!

Still got this virus that's doing the rounds here! Ear nose and throat are so painful and I'm aching all over. Paracetamol just isn't cutting it!

Have bought a few bits of clothing, washable breastpads, few cloth nappies etc. Adding bits as we go along. Won't need any vests as have loads from the boys, same with sleeping bags/pj's etc.

Hi everyone, im still very new to the whole mumsnet thing but due June 1st with number 2. Would it be ok if I joined your Facebook
Group too? Not doing NCT this time so having a lovely group of ladies like you, all going through the same stuff at the same time would keep me sane!! Vegan I will try to work out how to message you if that's ok?

Passmethecrisps · 05/01/2017 10:44

Hi there silly. Welcome aboard. The Facebook group is very active!

MumofthreeandBean · 05/01/2017 11:41

Welcome all new posters and returning ones!

19.3 today - feeling it!

Babybiscuit1 · 05/01/2017 18:27

Hi all, I've been lurking for a while and decided to now join. I'm 17+4 and baby number 1 is due on 12th June. Heard heartbeat again at 16wk midwife appointment yesterday and now counting down to the 20wk scan on 24th Jan. To think at this point I'll be half way! Anyways just wanted to say hi and I've been enjoying reading your posts for the last couple of months. Has put my mind to ease on a few things. Smile

Poppydm · 05/01/2017 19:00

Hi everyone, just checking in as I've not posted for a while. Feel like I'm missing out not being in the Facebook group but just find it easier to keep up on here. Welcome to the new ladies Smile Babybiscuit im just a few days before you, due June 9th. My bump has well and truly made an appearance now and is not really so subtle any more. Started buying bits and pieces now. Got a cot bed in the sales and got a few sleepsuits and vests. Keeping my eye out for any deals on a snuzpod as I really want one for when baby is born. Hope everyone is ok! Smile

BridgetDarcy · 05/01/2017 19:16

Hello all. I'm 16+5. Feels like a long wait from the 12 week appointment until the 20 week scan at the end of the month.

Can people describe the feelings they have about this time? From what I've read I've heard people say it feels like wind. Can anyone shed any further light? It's hard to tell what is the baby. I feel like I have a tummy ache, especially in the mornings.

Poppydm · 05/01/2017 19:49

Hi Bridget. I think I'm starting to feel the baby. It feels to me a bit like a rolling sensation (i was also wondering if it was wind or baby) and I've been having things that feel like little muscle twitches. I'm 17+6 and it's my first baby so not totally sure but I think it's her. Hope this helps Smile

themoonandsixpence · 05/01/2017 20:47

Hello newbies.

Poppydm if you see the snuzpod in the sale can you advertise that here or PM as I've been searching high and low as well. I do love a bargain.

Vegan I'm having my week 20 scan next week so will PM you then to be added to the FB group Grin

haveacupoftea · 05/01/2017 23:19

I have been having the odd rolling sensation too. I THINK its baby but cant be sure!

MrsPotato · 05/01/2017 23:21

Hello, can I join please? I am 18 weeks today with baby number 3. I have been lurking but have only just started recovering from hyperemesis so was worried that my posts would be a bit miserable until now! It's lovely to finally be able to join in with the excitement on this board as until recently I was not enjoying this pregnancy at all. Could I join the Facebook group please?

Passmethecrisps · 05/01/2017 23:28

Hi all.

I am almost 16 weeks and I think I have felt movement. It does feel a bit like a rolling sensation. With dd1 it was a definite pop like she gave me a bloody good whack from inside. This is more like I am feeling my uterus move about. I have little in the way of tone so that will make it easier to feel it.

The feelings tend to be lower down still than typical gurgle tummy feelings. The stretchings and pain are likely to be round ligament pain

I have been totally out of kilter today. I have out on a huge amount of weight, look terrible and heard that my blood tests for slapped cheek have come back showing no immunity. This could present a challenge at work as it went round before Christmas. Hopefully the fortnight's break will have stopped it spreading. I still just feel fed up with it though. Meh.

A wee baby wiggle would right cheer me up. C'mon baby!!

Passmethecrisps · 05/01/2017 23:30

Sorry a welcome mrs potato. If you pm veganmama83 she can add you.

And welcome baby. The 20 week scan is a big milestone. I also remember getting to 25 weeks and being hugely relieved and excited. Same with 30.

MumofthreeandBean · 06/01/2017 06:54

I don't think it matters how many scans you have, until baby arrives you don't know what's going on in there!
Got my 20 weeks scan 12th Jan, I'm excited but also a little worried incase they find anything, my last pregnancy this scan showed something up and I'm dreading it happening again.

Mrs5boys · 06/01/2017 16:16

Hi ,,,, I'm nervously joining after stalking for months ! I'm due on 27th June Halojust wondering Does anyone know how accurate the 16 week private gender scan is ? I've been reading another thread with lots of people saying they've been told the wrong gender !!! I had one of these scans yesterday but now wondering if they could have got it wrong ! Sonographer said she would bet £1000 on it but I'm not so sure Blush

MumofthreeandBean · 06/01/2017 18:14

Mrs5 welcome!

I think the gender scans are quite accurate - I saw for myself the big willy on my boy and I saw the three lines which show a girl so I am pretty certain it's correct.
Will you be told at your 20week scan too, for extra confirmation? I know some places don't tell you.
I guess with 5 boys you are thinking a girl might be nice? What did they tell you baby was?

VeganMama83 · 06/01/2017 18:14

Welcome mrs! I believe each private clinic has its own accuracy rates? Mine was 99% rate. My sonographer said ours is obviously a girl and sonographer also said at 12 week scan that nub theory indicated girl.

Will they confirm at your 20 week scan?

Hi all the new people and welcome. Today was the first day I thought I felt anything like movement, although I'm still not convinced as I'm 16+4 with number one.
Feeling rubbish again today, threw up my breakfast. Must have looked so bad in work I got sent home for a lie down at lunchtime! I'm sure they're sick of me being whingy mcwhingeface, maybe they just wanted some peace.
