Vegan I've messaged you about joining the FB group. Hope that is ok Smile

Poppydm · 30/12/2016 18:20

Ah lovely Tea! 😊

MumofthreeandBean · 30/12/2016 19:08

Congrats tea!!

phoebe2016 · 31/12/2016 07:17

Welcome Spread :) I am 15 +3 today. I've started to get nasty acid indigestion the past few nights, so had to go out and buy a bottle of Gaviscon. It has helped to stop the sicky feeling. I had it in my previous pregnancies, but don't recall having it so early. Eugh! Lol. How are you feeling?

phoebe2016 · 31/12/2016 07:21

Congratulations on your baby boy news Haveacup! I am not on Fb, so only get to see the updates on here. We have our sexing scan booked for 9th Jan, excited but nervous to go!!

adlertippa · 31/12/2016 08:11

Phoebe someone at work gave me refreshers when I was feeling sick the other day, she uses them for indigestion! Think they're a bit less grim than chugging gaviscon, maybe worth a try?

Sixisthemagicnumber · 31/12/2016 08:33

Has anybody had a mama roo or other rocker for a previous baby or considering getting one this time? We went window shopping for prams and saw a mama roo and I'm thinking it might be useful with a demanding 20 month old and a toddler.

ChristmasSeacow · 31/12/2016 08:48

Hello all, I've just found you. May I join?

I am expecting DC 2 at end June. Currently 14+5. Clothes getting very tight. I am a bit older (nearly 42) so have had the harmony test. Therefore I already know I am having a girl Smile

No appointments for me until my 20-week scan in Feb, and no movement yet, so it is a funny time where not much happens and no reassurance.

Do any of you use a Doppler Trinh or app? I am worried it will turn me into a complete basket case of worry rather than be reassuring!

MoonlightMojitos · 31/12/2016 09:24

I'm jealous of those of you having gender scans! We were planning on getting one before Christmas to do some gender reveal gifts but couldn't get a convenient appointment because of dp's odd hours :(. We have 20 week scan on the 13th so might as well just wait now!

phoebe I've had the indigestion too, it's horrible!

I got one if those massive full body 10 ft pillows the other day.... Oh My GOD best thing ever! I have never felt so comfortable! I could quite happily never leave my bed again haha.

Welcome and congrats on your girl christmas! I do have a doppler (not an app, an actual one) but I don't want to say if I would recommend it or not as it's very controversial! I personally don't have any problems finding babies heartbeat but I can imagine I would be quite anxious if I couldn't find it and would end up spending a fortune on more private scans! I've had 4 scans already so this is saving me money right now compared to them haha...

18+3 today!

MoonlightMojitos · 31/12/2016 09:25

Oh and my midwife wouldn't even try to listen at my 16 week appointment (she said she won't try until after 25 weeks) because of unnecessary worry if she couldn't find it.

haveacupoftea · 31/12/2016 10:26

Thank you for the congrats! Honestly I have been walking on air since the scan, that moment went she saw the sex my heart just stopped! It has helped with bonding already, I just think, that's my little boy in there Grin

Welcome christmas, between 12-20 weeks definitely is a funny time in pregnancy, loads of hanging about waiting.

Loving the sound of refreshers even though I havent got heartburn Grin

MumofthreeandBean · 31/12/2016 10:31

phoebeI used to use remegel for indigestion.

moonlightI would love a pregnancy pillow but I'm not sure there is enough room for dh in the bed if I get one!

Bought my double buggy with carrycots! Whoop! Next buy car seats!

Never heard of it six I used to have a chicco sofa chair for my boys and it was fantastic but I can't find one anywhere now 😞

Welcome newbies!

Twins are wriggling everyday now, usually before/after food.
I know they have grown as the movements are stronger and stretched further up and across my belly than before.
My bump is evergrowing and there is not a chance I could hide the pregnancy at all, even under a tent! I have some maternity leggings and a pair of maternity jeans but they are all in the wash and today I have got out some lounge pants - they look hilarious! I've had to pull them over my bump and they have come halfway up my legs!! Cold ankles today!

18.5

ChristmasSeacow · 31/12/2016 16:16

I felt the same Tea - first time round I quite fancied a surprise but DH strongly wanted to know so I agreed - and was then so glad I had because I also feel I bonded more with DS before he was born. In my mind I felt different being the 'mum of a boy' than I would have done as 'mum of a girl' - i can't really explained why though! I think a surprise is lovely but knowing in advance definitely worked out for me too.

It's odd this time finding out at 11 weeks. I am not sure I liked it tbh. At 20 weeks last time I was feeling movement and, being further along, I felt more confident about the pregnancy working out, so I suppose I allowed myself to bond. This time I guess subconsciously I didn't, because it was so early. We had our reasons for wanting to know asap and since it is an optional extra with the harmony test we thought we might as well but it was definitely weird for me!

When did you all start feeling movement? I seem to recall i felt DS (first child) at about 18 weeks but in the last couple of days I am sure I can feel baby move when I go to bed. Is that really possible? I am 14.5

Twins Mum - golly! I am an older sister to twins and love it from that perspective!

Sixisthemagicnumber · 31/12/2016 16:48

christmas I have been feeling movement for over a week now (I'm 16 weeks today). It's baby number 4 for me and I'm pretty certain it is baby and not wind.

phoebe2016 · 31/12/2016 17:22

Thanks Adler, i much prefer the sound of refreshers to Gaviscon! Lol

phoebe2016 · 31/12/2016 17:26

Hi Moon, where did you get your new pillow from? I have been sleeping with a pillow between my kness to try and help with my hip pain, and Dr has prescribed Dihydrocodeine tablets, but nothing much seems to help. Pain wakes me up about every 1.5hrs throughout the night and i am crippled when i first get up. Not much fun at all! Lol

MoonlightMojitos · 31/12/2016 18:23

phoebe I got mine from amazon :) it was £35 but worth every penny, I'd massively recommend it!

MoonlightMojitos · 31/12/2016 20:34

mumof3 you definitely deserve a body pillow with 2 in there!

I'm wondering if reindeer is still about? Haven't heard from her in a while and wondering how her dp took the triplet news!! Hope you're OK xx

phoebe2016 · 01/01/2017 08:07

Thanks Cat and Moon. I'm definitely going to have to invest in one, need to get more comfy. Uninterrupted sleep is so hard to come by at the moment!

MissisBee · 01/01/2017 09:42

Happy new year ladies. Very rock and roll evening here, went to bed at 8.30! Feel better for it today.

Moonlight, I'm not sure we'll be seeing reindeer back again - she started a thread in chat a few weeks ago about telling her DP. Lots of people called troll and it was deleted...

15+6

weloveearlysleeptime · 01/01/2017 11:20

Hi all, new to joining this thread has seen it earlier but was hit pretty bad with nausea first trimester all i could do was pretty much just lie in bed all day. Am 15 weeks expecting DC2. Is there an fb group to join? Would love to join in that as well as this thread. My 20 week scan is scheduled for 30 jan. Havent got anything but current considerations mainly swirling around buying a pretty Tula carrier as our Ergo is looking quite run down (DS loved sitting it so much the band is all wobbly). Happy new year everyone! 😍

MumofthreeandBean · 01/01/2017 11:20

Showed dh the pillow 'it's too big' apparently 🙄

adlertippa · 01/01/2017 14:43

Wah, started off 2017 with a new years vom! Treated myself to a posh puke in the sink as it was 6.30am and I knew there was nothing to come up, even sat myself on a chair Smile luxury...

Bit gutted as had finally been feeling less nauseous the last couple of days and had hoped I was turning the corner after a rough first trimester. I'm 14+6 so hoping that things will improve any day now. Anyone else still struggling? And if you're feeling better, when did that happen?

Masweetpea1 · 01/01/2017 15:20

adler I'm feeling rough still, 18 weeks today and still being sick so probably not a good advert for morning sickness finishing early!!
