I have agreed with DH that we won't find out the gender at the 20 week scan but it's not stopping me trying (and failing) to guess the sex with the nub theory lol.

Sorry forgot to say due 29th June

MoonlightMojitos · 18/12/2016 20:56

teletubbies the Facebook group is completely secret so don't worry no one will know you're in it when you do join :) it doesn't show up anywhere and all private within the page.

Welcome and congrats tomato!

sickofTeletubbies · 18/12/2016 21:06

Moonlight I know but we haven't told any family yet. I don't want to risk anyone finding out. I had to ask another pregnant woman if I could hide behind her so that I wasn't seen ha ha. Does anyone else find that this site is full of pure arseholes? I posted my scan picture as a bit of fun as I'm really excited to find out if it's a boy and a girl, and I've literally had a couple of comments which make me wonder if some people are from the same planet as I am.

Tomato I can't see your nub, but I am no expert. Looks like a girlie head to me.

Passmethecrisps · 18/12/2016 21:38

Oh dear sick - you were PO'd. Every time I look at a thread on sex where op has used gender i make a mental guess of how many posts it will take before someone is a smart arse about it.

If people don't like it they don't need to post - it annoys me that people feel the need to tell others off.

MoonlightMojitos · 18/12/2016 21:58

😂 I made the mistake of posting asking for alcohol free wine recommendations earlier and someone pretty much suggested I must have a drinking problem if I feel the need to "pretend to drink wine" instead of just having normal soft drinks Hmm. Ridiculous isn't it.

Passmethecrisps · 18/12/2016 22:01

I was on that thread! If it helps, moonlight I was outraged! Cheeky bint.

I suspect that poster might spend a lot of time being sanctimonious on threads relating to alcohol.

sickofTeletubbies · 18/12/2016 22:08

crisps I didn't expect instant dickness lol. Honestly, do they have nothing better to do than lurk waiting for someone to pounce on? Lucking I have no fucks to give. Moonlight because most soft drinks are full of sugar and chemicals and sometimes you just want to hold a wine glass and it doesn't look the same when it's filled with lemonade. Aldi do a fake Shloer for £1 something. Going to give that a go for Christmas day.

Passmethecrisps · 18/12/2016 22:13

I swear some people just hang around waiting for threads to pop up so they can be wankers on it. There are some topics which are almost guaranteed to bring them out.

I had a glass of echo falls fake fizz tonight. It was nice. I am afraid I haven't liked many of the others mentioned on the thread. My poor dh has trawled round every supermarket buying bottles for me to test and the vast majority go down the drain.

MoonlightMojitos · 18/12/2016 22:22

Oh dear crisps have you tried the sainsburys one? I've heard a few good things now. There's not a sainsburys local by me but willing to go out the way if it's worth it. I do like shloer so I'll defo get a bottle or 2 of that for Christmas week.

MoonlightMojitos · 18/12/2016 22:23

And I agree they must just wait for an unsuspecting person to pounce on! I've seen a few when I feel really sorry for the posters sometimes being judged and hounded!

sickofTeletubbies · 18/12/2016 22:45

Moonlight I should have told them to go and feed their cats 😂

VeganMama83 · 19/12/2016 07:45

Deffo lots of twunts on MN! Esp the baby names board at times!

Congrats and welcome tomato! Glad to have some more at the back of the bus with me - I'm due on 28th. It's nice to read what others are going through who are weeks ahead, especially as it's my first one, but it also make me impatient!

I've already got a couple of bargains I couldn't resist - second hand baby swing for £3 and co sleeper cot for £14.50, but must resist for a while now, or at least until Jan sales!

12 + 5

RoseBud2016 · 19/12/2016 12:42

Dizzy any sign of your harmony results yet? Thinking of you x

Welcome and congrats Tomato! I'm 12+3 today so we are very close in due dates! How are you feeling?

AFM- we had our 12 week scan this morning and all is very well. We are so, so relieved. I was a blubbering wreck before and during. Measuring 3 days ahead with NT measurement of 1.5mm. And all body parts present. Absolutely over the moon and now cannot wait to share our news on Christmas Day with close family Smile

sickofTeletubbies · 19/12/2016 14:07

catlady where on earth did you acquire a co-sleeper for £14.50. Really want to get one as co-sleeping literally saved my life. DD had horrendous reflux for the first 6 months of her life. To the point where as you would lay her flat she would start gagging. Without a v pillow and strategic co sleeping I would have died (probably literally) from sleep exhaustion. For all those first time mammas, I know they say this is against the baby laws but you gotta do what you gotta do to get through the day. And this is coming from the woman who refused to use cot bumpers as they are dangerous. Anyway, a co sleeper would be perfect, but not sure I can justify the price when I already own a moses basket and a cot. £14.50 though that's a major bargain!

catlady15 · 19/12/2016 14:35

Great news rosebud!

I love hunting a good bargain, tele! I was supposed to be looking for maternity clothes on eBay, but couldn't resist having a little look at other items I might be needing located within driving distance. Thought I'd put in quite a low bid and see what happens and I got lucky! It's not super fancy, but nice, simple, wooden white one. They still do the right mattress size at the shop it was originally from, so going to get one post Xmas when it might be in the sale.

sickofTeletubbies · 19/12/2016 14:40

catlady well done. I never get lucky like that. Living in Wales there never seems to be anything for sale within a reasonable distance. Everythings in England.

Tomatolover · 19/12/2016 15:07

rose and cat it's so nice that you're both at the back of the bus too. I'm feeling pretty rubbish today but I've had a couple of nausea free days recently which were amazing. Just waiting for the sickness to (hopefully) disappear completely. How are you both feeling?

At what point did everyone receive their 16 week appointment from their midwife? I think I'm being too eager looking out for the appointment letter but it would help out with work due to shifts if I knew soon.

Sixisthemagicnumber · 19/12/2016 16:17

I had to phone up myself to make my 17 week appointment after the dating scan tomato but they for differently everywhere. As it happens I will actually be 17+6 at my 16 week appointment Confused

Sixisthemagicnumber · 19/12/2016 16:18

To make my 16 week appointment ^^

haveacupoftea · 19/12/2016 16:24

tomato i had to make my own 16 week appointment.

Here's something I didnt expect, and I am going to sound like such an arsehole here - but i'm a bit bored! This inbetween stage after 12 week scan and before kicks, and without a proper big bump, is quite dull.

I know, i'm going to hell for being an ungrateful cow Xmas Blush

16+3

HazyHazyJeans · 19/12/2016 16:29

I had the book my own 16w appt too but as six says the processes do vary from place to place.

Just booked the scan to find out the sex too - 7th January! Actually feels quite soon & with Christmas/ new year in between I think it'll fly by!

13+5

catlady15 · 19/12/2016 17:12

I had to book my appointment too. Might be worth giving them a call and checking tomato? They told me at my scan I needed to book the appointment myself.

I agree, I am a bit impatient at this stage, waiting for first kicks and trying to restrain myself from buying more stuff! I do live in the London commuter belt tele, so there probably are more bargains to be had in this area!

Today I've been looking at the gracho mirage travel system, which seems to have quite good reviews and is only £95 at toys r us. Anyone with any experience of this type of system? Too good to be true? Thought it might be a good first pram/car seat combo.
