I'm still amazed Reindeer! Are you all sucking up to / pampering parents for babysitting duties? 😊

HazyHazyJeans · 17/12/2016 12:57

pugsy have you pm'd me your email? The last message I can see is me asking for it but I don't think I've had a reply which is why you're still waiting. Apologies if I've missed it though - MN messenger is rubbish and really hard to keep track! Confused

HazyHazyJeans · 17/12/2016 12:58

Apologies, have just found your reply. I'll try adding you again...

Pugsymalone · 17/12/2016 13:08

Thank you Hazy not to worry I never see people's messages on MN either it's a pain!

Monkeyandthebear · 17/12/2016 13:15

Hazy I have just PM'd you about joining the facebook group too.

MissisBee · 17/12/2016 13:41

Feeling a bit smug today - not only does my local New Look actually have maternity clothes in the shop, I fitted in to a smaller size of jeans and trousers than I was expecting! Also on my second day in a row of no nausea. I'm under no illusions that that's it gone, just enjoying these days as they come.

13+5

firefly23 · 17/12/2016 18:07

Hi ladies,

Haven't been on this thread for a while. Lovely to see all the scan photos Smile

Please can someone tell me which Facebook page you've all joined? I think I'd be better keeping up with that so would like to join too if I can please?xx

MumofthreeandBean · 18/12/2016 07:05

fiefly it's a secret one just for us, pm veganmama or hazyhazyjeans and they will add you x

I've been so preoccupied with twin/baby thoughts that I am very behind on Xmas prep!!! Anyone else?

MrsPotatoHead80 · 18/12/2016 07:54

Me too bean. We moved house on Wednesday & I've only bought about 4 presents so far! I did buy DD's main present yesterday though so feeling a bit better now

MoonlightMojitos · 18/12/2016 08:53

mumof3 I don't even have an excuse I just haven't done it lol its just crept up on me. I'm off to brave the shops at 10am... hoping to get there when they open, in and out and be done with it! Luckily I don't have too much to get.

firefly23 · 18/12/2016 08:57

Thank you mumofthree Smile

firefly23 · 18/12/2016 09:04

I think I've messaged you hazy Smile

Good morning!

4yo pulled out a magnificent 10pm lie in this morning so all is well in crisp acres.

On the subject of 4yo we are wondering how and when to tell her. I think she should know soon as others know and the likelihood of people telling her is high. Not sure how she will take it though.

Passmethecrisps · 18/12/2016 10:57

10am that should be.

And on the topic of new look my mil has given me new look vouchers for my birthday - not really my thing normally but I am delighted This year as they have a good maternity section in store. I don't have a bump exactly but my stomach has been pushed up and out so it looks like I do. Should have done some planking!

I think we are done Christmas wise. I need tags but that is it. Food shopping is dh's territory. I don't finish work until 23rd so no time to get things done after. I prefer that though - hate hanging around really.

I am starting to feel better now I think. Am 13+1 so I am hoping I will be all good by Christmas. Bring on the stuffing!

LorrieJ · 18/12/2016 13:03

We're pondering the same about telling our 3yo. Certainly after the 20 week scan to be overly cautious, but beyond that haven't decided when or how to tell her. She's a little lime-light seeking diva so I'm worried how she'll take it, especially once the baby has arrived.
Someone suggested making a big fuss over the whole big sister status thing, another suggested she'll be fine so long as we dont let her fade in to the background iyswim.

Monkeyandthebear · 18/12/2016 13:54

As this is my first I don't have to tell any other children, but we live about 300 miles from my niece 4yo and nephew 5m. My niece has taken a bit of getting used to being a big sis and my husband and I tend to spend a lot of time with her when home. Particularly when my nephew was tiny. She has long been the only grandchild on either side and with my dSis bf'ing it has been tough on her.

We plan on telling sis and family on Christmas Eve so think I might have a chat with the niece about her being such a good big sis that we thought she would make a great big cousin. Any advice from anyone with kids would be appreciated as to whether to make a fuss of her or not.

phoebe2016 · 18/12/2016 14:21

Anyone else started feeling movements yet? I'm 13 + 4 today and was sat quietly watching tv early this morning and all of a sudden i felt like something was flicking me from inside, like a ripple. It happened another 5-6 times after that and definitely wasn't wind! Lol. This is my 3rd child but last one was 12yrs ago. I'm excited about it happening again now :)

firefly23 · 18/12/2016 14:41

I'm 16+1 with my first and I haven't felt anything yet Sad Hoping it'll make itself known soon!x

phoebe2016 · 18/12/2016 16:12

Im sure it will soon Fire! It is such a strange feeling when you first get it. Doesn't take long before they develop in to real punches and kicks lol x

firefly23 · 18/12/2016 17:06

Ha Phoebe! I'm looking forward to being able to feel the baby. It still doesn't feel real at the moment, despite having seen two scans!x

Passmethecrisps · 18/12/2016 17:14

Oh that sounds lovely phoebe. I remember he first time I felt dd1. I think I was about 18 weeks. Hoping I will feel this one a bit earlier.

Interesting one monkey. I will be watching with interest. Dd is the only grandchild on one side and one of two on the other. She is a total mummies girl so I am not sure how she will take sharing.

sickofTeletubbies · 18/12/2016 18:22

Hi Everyone, It's MrsRose. No idea what happened but my account had been deleted. I suspect DD. While watching Teletubbies for the millionth time I thought this was a much more fitting name. Sorry I've been MIA but I have been having a really tough time. Pregnancy does not agree with me at all. I thought while I was on here posting about the nub theory I'd drop by and say hi.
All ok here. 12 week scan went perfectly and baby is due 28th June. Hope everyone is well and enjoying their pregnancies.

catlady15 · 18/12/2016 18:27

Hooray, great news rose/tele! We are also due date buddies Smile

sickofTeletubbies · 18/12/2016 18:31

catlady that is awesome news. DD was early, so am guessing (hoping) I will go early. Will add myself to Facebook page after we've told everyone Christmas Day. Had a bit of a close one at clinic as I saw someone I knew but luckily she didn't see me. Wouldn't want anyone to get to the family before us

Tomatolover · 18/12/2016 20:14

Slightly late but please can I join you? I had my 12 week scan on Friday, it was such a relief to see the baby as we hadn't had any early scans. This is my first child and I'm 12+3.
