I'm on aspirin crisps 1 a day

Had my gender scan last night, the twins were very active, must have been the coke beforehand!!
They were kicking each other and reaching out to each other. 1 was sticking tongue out and smiling.
So we found out we are expecting 1 pink, 1 blue!!! So pleased 😁

One of each flavour is lovely mumofthree

I'm also on asprin crisps. I white coat hypertension and probably because of my bmi etc so they're being cautious.

ymmv · 16/12/2016 08:27

I had my scan yesterday (again!). Moved dates but this is it now. due 24th June. All looking good. Smile

Pugsymalone · 16/12/2016 13:28

Anyone feeling any flutters yet? Im 15+1 think ive felt them the last two nights when lying in bed!

MoonlightMojitos · 16/12/2016 19:30

Quick question but is anyone getting headaches? I've had one pretty much constantly for the last week now so starting to worry. It comes and goes and varies how bad but I've had to take paracetemol a few times. I'm seeing the midwife next Friday but don't know whether to see the doctor before then if it's not gone this weekend? I used to get mugraines with every af so presuming it's hormonal but this is the first I've had since bfp. Luckily it hasn't turned in to a migraine, I don't think I could cope without strong painkillers if it did.

Congrats on all the scans!

pugsy nothing for me yet, can't wait to start feeling movement!

mumof3 what sexes are your dc so far?

16+2

Passmethecrisps · 16/12/2016 19:51

Oh gosh yes to headaches moonlight. Most days most of the time. Midwife could find no issue with my blood pressure and I drink plenty. Likely to be hormonal

Mimi333 · 16/12/2016 20:17

Yes to the headaches! Had to go home from work yesterday for the first time since being pregnant as it was horrible. Slept for 2 hours but it didn't help, neither did paracetamol.

Wow mum one of each! Lovely 😊

Did I miss how reindeer broke the news to her OH?!

Congrats on all the lovely scans recently

15+1

Pugsymalone · 16/12/2016 20:28

Mimi333 im ️also 15+1 ! We must have the same due date how lovely :-) 8th June

MumofthreeandBean · 16/12/2016 20:47

moonlight I have dd 15yrs, ds 13yrs & ds 10yrs Smile

I get headaches, apparently it's a normal symptom in pregnancy, mine is mostly dehydration I think,my blood pressure is perfect. If you're worried just call midwife or gp x

Mimi333 · 16/12/2016 20:57

Ahh pugsy due date twin! Smile

mum I have midwife on Monday so will see if it's blood pressure related

Pugsymalone · 16/12/2016 22:23

I bought An at home Doppler and now I regret it :(:(:(

MoonlightMojitos · 16/12/2016 22:39

Oh good, glad it's not just me! Although not glad you're all suffering too! I'm drinking so much so sure it's not that. I'll give the Dr a ring Monday if hasn't cleared up.

Oh pugsy try no to worry! It took me about 10 mins to find mine on Wednesday. Where are you trying? I started far too high and it turns out was right down by my pubic bone still and had to angle it right in. It's also very easy for baby to hide this early on as they've got so much room in there.

Pugsymalone · 16/12/2016 22:41

Im finding a hb on my left side just above pubic bone but it's very slow Sad ️️now im panicking

haveacupoftea · 16/12/2016 22:51

Pugsy its probably own heartbeat youre hearing...count the beats then take your pulse rate. If youve any wee cysts on your ovaries i think the fluid carries the sound

reindeerbitesback · 16/12/2016 22:54

Eeek thanks for sharing my joy, ladies!

No you didn't miss it mimi333 - I had a sudden thought that I'd tell him and by the next scan it would be bad news (I've miscarried at 13+3 before, just passed this threshold). I'm thinking of telling him at Christmas or on our wedding (27th) - do you think that's too long to wait? I'll have had another scan by then. I'm being really mean, aren't I?

Oh Pugsy, I did that to myself with my first pregnancy. Absolutely terrified myself (everything was fine). Try not to worry too much.

LorrieJ · 16/12/2016 22:59

Hi Pugsy, if you think something is wrong please contact your Maternity Assessment Unit (or whatever they call themselves at your hospital) immediately for advice. Im sure they would sooner you be cautious and be happy to take a call.

Hopefully it will be nothing more than you picking up the sound of your own artery, but much better someone who knows about this stuff checks and tells you than just assuming or spending time worrying.

Take care, L

LorrieJ · 16/12/2016 23:00

Sorry tea Cross post - not meaning to sound argumentative!

LorrieJ · 16/12/2016 23:02

I'm I getting the right person reindeer are you the lady having triplets? And there's three other sisters / in law having babies too? AND you're about to get married?!? Wow!!!! That's amazing!

MoonlightMojitos · 16/12/2016 23:07

pugsy I agree it's probably either your own heartbeat (or an echo of it) or your placenta even! My placenta was a slow whoosh whoosh sound, then I found my heartbeat (felt my pulse in neck at same time and it was the same) and then baby after several minutes. Baby then moved as it stopped suddenly without me moving the probe and I had to get up and jiggle around and then found it again. Are you on the Facebook group? If it will reassure you I'm happy to send you a pm tomorrow of a video of mine and show you the placenta sound if it'll reassure you but I'm so sure that's what you're hearing as it's alot slower pulse like sound. Any doubts though defo give your midwife a call but this is why they hate home dopplers! It causes unnecessary worry.

reindeer can't believe you've managed to keep it quiet! Will he be upset that you've been worrying about it and not shared your worries with him? When is your next scan?

Blueskyrain · 16/12/2016 23:25

Oh wow, can you imagine if you tell him AT YOUR WEDDING reindeer? Wow.

reindeerbitesback · 16/12/2016 23:45

lorrieJ - yes that's me! But there's two SILs and two sisters pregnant plus me. We've all be getting married over the last 18 months as well. I was supposed me be having a quiet year and start my masters but things...changed (for the best, may I add!).

moonlight - I can't either! I don't think he'll be upset that I'm worrying sounds awful, he knows there's a high chance of me having multiples and that I've miscarried before so he's very aware of the possibility of both, hence why I want to make the announcement a bit special. My next scan is on Thursday.

Mimi333 · 17/12/2016 07:37

So exciting reindeer - I would never be able to keep my mouth shut! Totally understand why you want to though. When is your wedding?

Pugsymalone · 17/12/2016 08:44

So update on the damn Doppler
Im finding two heartbeats , one on left side just above Pelvic bone and one on right side just above pelvic bone , should I assume slower one is mine and faster one is ️babys? Or both mine

MumofthreeandBean · 17/12/2016 08:48

I was given a Doppler, not used it yet, they say it is harder to get an accurate reading before 20weeks so I'm waiting until then.
Midwives advise not to use one at home, causes much stress and even if you do find a heartbeat it could be cord, your own heart or something else...we had a brief chat about them on the Facebook group if you are therepugsy

Pugsymalone · 17/12/2016 09:38

MumofthreeandBean im still waiting to be added I feel like im missing out haha :(
