Good Luck to you too dizzy Hope you don't have to wait too long for the news x

catlady15 · 15/12/2016 09:08

Good luck everyone, let us know how it goes! X

DizzyNorthernBird · 15/12/2016 09:33

Thanks moose! I'm feeling surprisingly calm today. Whatever will be will be. I just hope they do actually ring today otherwise I'll be tearing my hair out tonight! DP is anxiously waiting for news too.

MumofthreeandBean · 15/12/2016 09:56

hermano try natural yoghurt, rub it on yourbits, its cooling.
I suffered with previous pregnancys, caught it early and the yoghurt stopped it, call the midwife or gp for more advice, there are tablets you might be able to take when pregnant but I'm not 100% sure.
Wear cotton and keep cool where possible x

Xx

It is actually a baby!!! Scan all went well, although baby was being a monkey and we had to get it to wiggle about to get the readings for the screening.

Think it made it all a bit more real for DH. He hasn't been great at talking about the baby but on the way home he was more chatty. Got the rest of today off now so going to go get my hair cut and then do some baking.

Look forward to seeing everyone else's scan pics today.

Lovely scan pick Monkey. so pleased for you that all is well!

Good luck to everyone else having scans today too x

DizzyNorthernBird · 15/12/2016 10:59

I lied. After feeling calm earlier, DP has gone off to work and without him to distract me the nerves are starting to build up. Can't wait for today to be over. Going out for a walk shortly then going to wrap pressies to distract myself.

Lovely pic monkey! Enjoy your hair cut & baking! I'm making a beef stew later today Smile

Monkeyandthebear · 15/12/2016 11:03

Thanks ladies. I got moved forward 4 days so now end 24th June. DH and FIL both have birthdays on 26th June so looks like we are getting closer to their birthday!

lazybutton · 15/12/2016 11:57

Ahhh monkey great scan photo! I was moved forward as well, due date 24 June too.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

TravelLoverAndDucky · 15/12/2016 15:17

Hi All,
I thought after lurking for the last three June threads, I should probably join in as well. 12+3 today and had my NHS scan last Thursday (not counting the two private scans I had before Grin) It's my first and reading about all of your experiences has really calmed my nerves. It still hasn't sunk in yet that there is a baby in there, I hope it will get better once I feel the movement.

Vegan, will try to message you about the Facebook group.

Welcome ducky!

Great news about my Iona results for anyone not on FB, 1 in 1 million chance of having any of the three syndromes. We're so relieved!

adlertippa · 15/12/2016 15:33

The scan was great! We turned up 15 min early (after 15 more minutes downstairs in Costa ha ha) and they saw us right away, was done by the time of my original appointment :)

The sonographer was lovely, got a decent view straight away. Everything looks fine, still can't believe it's in there! It was very still but 5 min in started having a proper wriggle, so brilliant. And we didn't have to pay for the prints? It's a Christmas miracle!

I'll put the pic up when I'm on my laptop :) all in all very excited and looking forward to starting to tell people. Had a celebratory portion of chips with DP on the way home, pure romance Xmas Smile

adlertippa · 15/12/2016 16:37

Oh worked it out... here's the little shrimp Grin

catlady15 · 15/12/2016 17:31

Glad to hear all scan and test results have come back all good, lovely pics Smile

Sixisthemagicnumber · 15/12/2016 17:34

I'm feeling very nervous now as we have decided to tell a few important family members this evening. We haven't told a single person yet but the scan all looked good on Monday and I'm getting rounder by thre day so can't really hide it for much longer. Eeeekkkk.

reindeerbitesback · 15/12/2016 18:34

Monkey my FIL, OH and DSS all have the same birthday! It does happen - bit freaky though!

Welcome, ducky! Once you feel the movements it really does start to sink in that there really is a baby inside you - I remember not being able to believe it with my first.

Glad you got good results dizzy. Been thinking about you today.

Six - Good luck! We told the DC today. Surprisingly well! I text my SIL and brother to tell them earlier in the week (they've been ttc for a long time so we told them first) and I'm on my way over to her house now with my sisters and SIL to organise Christmas (and tell the others). I'm so thankful she's taken the news well; I'm not sure I would have been able to be so supportive so quickly.

Passmethecrisps · 15/12/2016 18:42

Boom! Thank feck for that.

Will update properly in a bit but it looks like all went well for my scan chums - am so very pleased

Finally got a chance to catch up - I had 5 Days to catch up on!!

I can't imagine kitty will be back on but I was so sorry to read her news. I really hope things go her way soon.

And my goodness to triplets reindeer!! What a joy!

I saw a few newbies (sorry my namechecking is so poor. My phone is on its last legs and it takes ages to scroll up and down) So welcome to you all.

I have been getting round friends and family this evening. Once I have told main folk I will just let the news dribble out. It has been lovely to relax and share.

I bought a cracking pair of trousers in H&M at the weekend. Harem style with zebras on. They cost £8 andni might possibly be the comfiest things I have ever owned. I am so tempted to whack them on tomorrow to work and be done with it. Scarves and a-line frocks be gone - bring on the bump wear!!

HazyHazyJeans · 15/12/2016 21:02

So glad it went well for everyone else who had scans today. Also good news here. Dated at 13+1 so EDD of 21st June. So relieved there's a healthy baby in there Smile

LemonPoppySeedMuffin · 15/12/2016 21:07

Congratulations on all the positive scans today! Lovely pictures! Welcome Ducky 😊

lazybutton · 15/12/2016 23:01

Another positive scan here too. Loads of wriggling about so took a while but lovely to see so much of the little one.

Told my parents tonight & they took the news well - with happy tears. Next up, the inlaws at the weekend. Holding fire on friends for a week or two.

reindeerbitesback · 16/12/2016 00:26

Not particularly relevant to the thread but I just got home from seeing my siblings and partners - told them I was expecting - which was then followed by both my SIL and sister confirming that they were also pregnant. 10 and 15 weeks to my 13!!!! I'm overjoyed. My other SIL and other sister are also pregnant (30 and 22 weeks). I just had to share. My life has never been this eventful before and probably never will be again! There will be so many babies by next Christmas if everything goes well Xmas ShockXmas ShockXmas ShockXmas Shock. wish I wasn't terrified of jinxing everything so could bounce off the walls elated

I hope everyone is feeling well, and wonderful news of all the good scans today.

HighHopes16 · 16/12/2016 05:57

Oh wow, that's wonderful that you all get to experience this at the same time reindeer & all your children will be so close in age. Smile

Passmethecrisps · 16/12/2016 07:29

Wow reindeer!! Those babies are going to grow up into such a team! Absolutely wonderful - actually made me giggle imagining one living room a temp Christmas next year. Full to the brim with babies.

Meant to say yesterday, has anyone else been prescribed aspirin? My dd1 was below the 10th centile which is one factor then my sister has pre-eclampsia. Both these together mean I get aspirin and consultant-led care.
