I have just got in from my work Christmas party. I drove and for the most part managed to keep my non drinking a secret. There was a couple of colleagues that knew so was a bit easier. Feel I will pay for being up so late tomorrow though.

Still feeling a bit weird in my stomach, but hoping it settles soon.

catlady15 · 04/12/2016 06:37

Just got back after work trip in Kenya. Really exhausting, but glad I went. I was so sad to read about oliversmummy, wishing her all the best for next few months. Glad to hear all the other good scan/results news.

One of our workshop participants came up to me and asked me how the baby was?! Think they're a bit more forward in Africa! I was so surprised I don't think I gave a very convincing, "I'm not pregnant!" answer! Then turns out she thought I'd already had a baby... All very awkward! Then there was not drinking in the evening with colleagues, being tired all the time. Said I was trying to be healthy in lead up to xmas. V difficult! On the bright side it took my mind off things and only just over a week until scan now Smile

P.s. I would highly recommend sainsburys jeggings. I got one size up from my normal size and they were super comfy for the extra bloating from flying. Only £12.50 and they look pretty good too Smile

MumofthreeandBean · 04/12/2016 08:18

I felt the twins kick this morning, it woke me! Not sure if it was just one or both as it was towards my belly button and both had their feet that way at the scan.
Looking forward to my midwife appointment next week to hear the heartbeats.
I was never so nervous with my other pregnancies! Just used to take it as it came, these two are a worry already!

Lovely to see all the great news from the scans Smile

mum I'm so jealous! I can't wait for that! Fingers crossed

I'm booked in for another scan on Tuesday as I'm fed up with spotting every day. Really hoping it's normal & everything is ok with them both. The sonographer did say at the last scan that I'd know about it if something goes wrong but can't help but worry

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. In bed at 2am last night after a girly xmas meal, DS up at 6.45. No idea how I'll get through today!

MumofthreeandBean · 04/12/2016 09:06

Glad you have a scan booked mimi I would be the same xx to reassure you a little I did read that those expecting twins do tend to have bleeds more often x hope it's just one of those things xx

DizzyNorthernBird · 04/12/2016 09:22

tulip not long to go for you now! This time tomorrow you'll be getting ready for your appointment!

mimi it must be worrying but at least everyone is saying its normal. I would want scanned for reassurance too though!

crisps how are you finding Westworld? I'm enjoying it but sometimes I struggle to keep up with the storylines and find myself asking so many questions about what is going on! Great show though.

haveacupoftea · 04/12/2016 13:19

I can't seem to drag myself out of bed this weekend. Belly feels huge. Bit nervous for consultant and dietitian tomorrow Confused

I love it dizzy. But I watch in a sort of haze of "wtf? Wtf is happening now? WTF was that about?!" But I find it compelling viewing.

Went shopping at bleargh o'clock today. It has cost me £38373837383 in craving stodge.

Mimi333 · 04/12/2016 16:06

Thanks mum and dizzy that does help.
crisps been there. I ate an entire full size baguette & whole packet of sliced salami in one sitting last week.

Passmethecrisps · 04/12/2016 17:07

Thank you mimi and good luck with your scan on Tuesday. Twins are a whole different kettle of fish aren't they?

mrspage1985 · 04/12/2016 18:01

LorrieJ · 04/12/2016 18:07

I've just had eggy bread, fish fingers and beans. I'm using the three year old as an excuse...

Passmethecrisps · 04/12/2016 19:24

Sounds lush lorrie

I bought one of those pillow for pregnancy 1. It was avenue until I needed the first of the many pees I needed and I couldn't get out! Pillow induced pee panic ensued

Passmethecrisps · 04/12/2016 19:25

Avenue should be ace

Tulip2013 · 04/12/2016 19:51

Total satsuma binge whilst watching strictly results show here! Fingers crossed baby isn't come out orange!

Passmethecrisps · 04/12/2016 20:13

Passmethecrisps · 04/12/2016 20:40

Gherkins vegan? I had gherkins as well and i must say it made my tummy extremely happy

LorrieJ · 04/12/2016 21:30

That sandwich looks amazing!

I had a dream genie pillow during first pregnancy. It was something of a letdown as my knees separated the padding.
Pee panic aside, are the massive pillows worth it? I'll happily invest in some tenant lady to counterbalance any issues although I suspect DH won't want to share a bed with me.

Snaid · 05/12/2016 05:45

Just discovered this thread and saying hi! 10+5 here :)

Still waiting for my 12-week scan but already had one at 9 (NHS) and 10 (private - needed reassurance while travelling abroad), also waiting for my T-21 results which should come by the end of the week. Thinking slightly ahead here but I was wondering if the NHS 20 week scan is sufficient? Anyone considering doing an additional private one? Rather clueless and nervous given its my first pregnancy. Thanks!

RoseBud2016 · 05/12/2016 06:34

Welcome Snaid I'm in a very similar position to you- 10+3 here, had private scans at 7 and 10 weeks, and also waiting for my harmony test results which I should have back by the end of this week.

I have my 12 week scan on 19th Dec but considering booking a private one for around 16 weeks to break up the wait to 20 weeks. First child for me too, although 3rd pregnancy, which is why I'm so nervous.

How are you feeling generally? I've felt a lot more human, although still so exhausted, over the weekend and it's pretty unnerving!
