Starting us off!

Had my NHS scan yesterday & back to where I thought I should be at 12+4
Baby was being a tad uncooperative so lots of jiggling about required to try & get it in the right place.
Also had my flu shot while I was there so that saves a trip!
Crisps are we allowed salami??? I've wanted some for ages but thought it was on the naughty list!

I thought salami was on the naughty list too because it is only cured and not cooked. Has advice changed? I love salami. I have a craving for pate but that is definitely on the naughty list.

Advice is a bit grey - as long as it ian cooked not just cured.

I took my chances. The risk is toxiplasmosis and I reckon that sandwich was worth the infanticimal risk.

Anybody else having trouble remembering how far gone they are? I had to check my app this morning as I couldn't remember how many weeks I am. I now know that I am 11+5 by my dates but 12+1 by midwife dates. I have my scan next week. Hopefully it will all seem a bit more real then, although it should feel real already with the size of my tummy

Good luck to everyone having scans today/this week. I have mine @ 9am and i am terrified :( hardly slept a wink last night. Hoping so much that this time everything is as it should be. Feel like this is the last time im going to out myself through it, if it's not ok. Fingers crossed all is well.

Still waiting on our results here. Longest week EVER!!!!! Took today off as the wait at work on Friday watching my phone was horrendous. Keeping busy by cleaning the flat!

Thought the nausea had more or less gone by felt terrible yesterday! Hope it does one soon I just want to feel normal and stop complaining to DH.

Hoping to get combined results back soon. Guessing I would have heard by now if high risk as they said within 5 days, does the weekend count?

Counting down to sexing scan on Christmas Eve now.

Well I have woken up in the most peculiar state of mind. I had a nice weekend and a good nights sleep but still I woke up feeling absolutely bereft. Proper sobbing which is not at all like me. all I wanted to do was hibernate.

I decided to take the day off (didn't feel like a choice really - hard to teach when you are snivelling constantly) but now I am just a bit perplexed. I am still in bed but haven't actually slept since taking dd to nursery. I feel ok now but a bit confused and concerned. I can't just take days off for blubbing!

crisps your sandwich looked great! (a lot smaller than mine) so pleased I inspired! I had no idea it was a food to avoid ooops. To be honest I'm probably a bit too breezy with the rules, the only thing I make sure I avoid is pate. Poor you - I hope you are feeling a bit better now! It's horrible feeling so out of control isn't it, hormones have a lot to answer for! Put love actually on and get cosy on the sofa

Scan today at 14+3! Most enjoyable one so far, saw baby and heartbeat straight away and she didn't have to delve into my knickers to find the baby

Anyone been away from home recently? Did you take your notes with you? I am away with work tomorrow night about 2 hours from home and then back home in Scotland for 2 weeks at Christmas and just realised that I should possibly take my notes.

I've been away Monkey I was in the car though so just put them in the boot, I guess its better to have them just in case but its awkward isn't it, the folder for mine isn't exactly small!

My notes just stay in my handbag.
Does everyone have the smaller purple folder now?

Not here Veganmama mine are in a folder and inch or 2 bigger than A4, they don't even go in my work bag and that's big enough for a laptop!

Had scan at 10.30, and all fine, hurrah! Am so relieved!

vegan my notes are in a big bounty white envelope with pregnant stamped all over it! Not great to hide anywhere except a hiking backpack!!

Thank you to everyone who wished me well for my scan. I am so pleased to say that all was fine! Saw a very wriggly, jumping baby and a strong heartbeat. It was such a relief that i cried. I measured 11 + 5 which is roughly where i thought i was (no LMP to go by). So EDD 21st June

Congrats Tulip! So pleased all is well for you. Its made me feel on cloud 9! Lol

Phoebe we have the same EDD but my scan isn't until next Thursday! (I promise to stop moaning about that soon). Anyway, it's great to see what your little baby is looking like as (all going well) mine should be at that stage too - proper little babies now!
