Sorry you're still waiting Moose, I meant to ask this morning how you were getting on. Hopefully birthday celebrations will help the weekend pass quickly.

Skee · 02/12/2016 18:11

I had my scan today and utterly relieved to see that wee manatee jumper my about! It's such a lovely experience to see it waving its wee arms and touching its face. I cried, it was totally unexpected 😂

Date was confirmed bang on what I had. Congratulations to all the other scans today and yesterday and all the best for those still waiting x x x

Excited to joint the FB group now, going to PM you if that's ok Vegan? x

phantompower it's currently private. It has received approval to be offered on the NHS from April 2018 for people who are classed as high risk on the combined test.

My local NHS Trust provides the service privately using Iona labs. It's worked out more cost effective than using a private clinic. It cost me £300 whereas you're normally looking at c. £400- £500.

Other companies that offer it include Harmony and Nifty. I think their labs are based in the US and China which largely impacts on data usage and the length of time it takes to turn around results.

If you're interested, it might be worth speaking to your midwife as they may be able to signpost you locally.

Evening.

Loving all the lovely scan pics

I must confess to getting bit fed up to be honest. I feel permanently bone crushingly knackered and I am sick of feeling sick. I miss my evenings with dh and having energy to do stuff. Poor dh never sees me - I use up all my energy at work then am useless at home. Today I have been light headed, headachy and a bit blah.

Moan moan moan!!

right. That's that out of my system.

At least it's the weekend!!

Me9an · 02/12/2016 18:34

Thanks everyone! I think keeping busy this weekend will help, we've got lots planned so I don't have a moment to think! And getting my nails done which is always a nice treat! Love seeing all the scan pics I find them so fascinating!

Phoebe, whereabouts are you based ? I've got to travel on a train in rush hour to my appointment and I'm worried about being late but I also don't want to be super early and drive myself insane!!!

VeganMama83 · 02/12/2016 18:51

Yes skee message me about the group!

MissisBee · 02/12/2016 18:56

skee lovely picture. I didn't cry, which surprised me. Told everyone in work this afternoon and only cried cos one of my colleagues cried!
Great other news, DH was meant to be on call on Christmas morning but he found out someone has taken the shift for him!!

HazyHazyJeans · 02/12/2016 19:39

Congrats to everyone who had scans today Star

I can't remember who mentioned having to wait ages but I feel your pain, I'll be 13+1 at mine on 15th December! Feels like SO long to wait....

LorrieJ · 02/12/2016 20:26

Hi vegan I've messaged you too about joining the FB group.
L

LorrieJ · 02/12/2016 20:28

It'll fly by Hazy. I had my first scan with DD at 13+6. Once we all get to the 30+ weeks stage, a few days will feel like nothing! Xmas Grin

VeganMama83 · 02/12/2016 20:57

Have replied to every one who has messaged me x

KittyVonCatsington · 02/12/2016 21:59

Lots of marvellous scans today-so so pleased!!

Second trimester should be much easier Passthecrisps!

Happy Friday!!

phoebe2016 · 02/12/2016 22:19

Hi Me9an. I'm in Shropshire, how about you? I have got to do the school run then dash off for the scan. If all goes well, then i will be on way to work straight after that! Lol

lazybutton · 02/12/2016 22:20

passthecrisps & hazy I've got my dating scan on 15th too Smile

Also totally bored of the extreme tiredness. We're going to Switzerland tomorrow for a long weekend, for Xmas shopping & sightseeing - I just want to sleep!

Masweetpea1 · 03/12/2016 05:37

Oh what a night!

Got through my works do on the pretence i was driving.! I left at the point the vodka shots appeared. I was home by 10.30!! Have been awake since as i think i have food poisoning.
Hubby has just rolled in at 5am from his Christmas do and been banished to the spare room.

And I'm still bloody awake!!

I don't think we could have had 2 more different experiences tonight!!

Rock n roll

13+6

MrsPotatoHead80 · 03/12/2016 07:54

Found out yesterday that we have to wait another week for our harmony test results as there's some kind of a backlog Sad

Monkeyandthebear · 03/12/2016 08:36

I am another one for our first scan on 15th. It's at 8:40 so glad i won't be worrying all day. It just seems ages away though!

I am having lots of pulling feelings in my stomach today and yesterday. I thought it was food/constipation related last night but definitely lower today. This is normal right? It isn't cramping as such but definitely feel it.

KittyVonCatsington · 03/12/2016 09:04

Totally normal Monkey-lots of stretching going on-to make room!

Hope you managed some more zzzzzzs Masweet!

The waiting is awful MrsP-so sorry. Am sure all is absolutely fine xx

MissisBee · 03/12/2016 11:05

DH is funny today - I think it all suddenly seems real to him after the scan. He has downloaded the bounty app, looked up reusable nappies and is now in full-on nesting mode and rearranging furniture!

MoonlightMojitos · 03/12/2016 18:19

mumof3 I was wondering the same although I'll be 17+2 at my "16 week" appointment as she booked it in weeks ago and I was moved forward a week at dating scan. I don't think it matters too much?

Had my screening results back at 1/4200something for down syndrome and almost 1/million for the others so that's good. I got some over bump maternity jeans and a work dress in black Friday sales (£20 altogether for both from new look!) And oh.my.god. I don't think I will ever take the jeans off once I'm in them haha so comfy!!! I've packed them away for a few weeks more yet though!

Congrats skee and everyone else who had their scans, I haven't been on all week so too much to catch up on!

Had my work do last night and I'm already so fed up of the pregnancy comments as everyone from work knows now. Bore off! Everyone thinks they're hilarious with the jokes about me not being able to drink etc and telling me their opinions and stories etc. Obviously I know they're just excited for me but I feel like all anyone talked to me about was being pg, I'm still me!!!

ma I hope you feel better soon, that's really not nice :( I had a sickness bug a few weeks ago so really feel for you. Hope you're resting well.

monkey I'm still getting cramps every day since my BFP and now also sharp twinges too. It really scares me but I mentioned it to the sonographer last week and she said all completely normal just everything stretching and moving in there. And obvs my baby was fine so I'm really trying to relax about it now although it does worry me, I don't think the worry will ever stop til baby is here! And then a whole new world of worries lol.

14+3

LorrieJ · 03/12/2016 19:45

Do any of you who need / get chance to have a nap find that it takes you an absolute age to adjust when you wake up? I can't move straight away for fear of being sick. I don't get that when I wake in the morning and rarely did when in the throes of morning sickness.

Tulip2013 · 03/12/2016 20:26

So pleased by all the lovely scan pics. Mine is 10.30 on Monday. Am really nervous and distracted about it. Just want to know once and for all if everything is ok.

I'm also totally knackered passthecrisps went to bed last night at 9, and already pondering it tonight and it's not even 8.30. Hasn't been like this until this week, but I'm done in! Luckily DH out tonight and DD generally sleeps through until 6.30 so no one will notice if I crawl upstairs early.

Masweetpea1 · 03/12/2016 20:32

I'm in bed tulip!! Exhausted today. Go for it Wink

So our downs result came through this week. 1:500. For my 'advanced' age (41) that is very good. But still worrying for us after the mc in June and bleed in this pregnancy. so we decided to go for the harmony. We are waiting for blood test results (10 days), but all looks good so far. Scan looked great too. Smile
14 weeks tomorrow.

Passmethecrisps · 03/12/2016 20:39

I will be in bed as soon as I have finished this episode of westworld

I have felt a bit better today. 11 weeks on Monday so maybe I am getting over the hump
