Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
rosylonginglily · 27/02/2007 19:38

Oh Shanks are you having contractions yet?

shanks313 · 27/02/2007 19:46

I think Im getting contractions...not very strong though.I think we counted one as 7 minutes apart.

This is all very strange lol

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 27/02/2007 19:47

Great shanks, good luck, keep relaxed and let us know as soon as you can. How exciting!!!!

sazzybee · 27/02/2007 19:51

Mossy - I snore too because I woke myself up! And I dribble because I can't breathe properly through my nose. And I wee a bit when I cough or laugh. Frankly I'm a disgrace and it's just as well that I don't have a partner
Rosy - dead pleased your bloke's coming home.
Muppet - you make me laugh. They tried to sweep me yesterday but she did ask first. Luckily as LO isn't engaged, she couldn't get her fingers far enough into my cervix to have much effect. I wanted to slap her anyway. Not boding well for the labour is it?

DollyPopsOut · 27/02/2007 19:53

No movement here (I mean in the labour direction - lots of baby movement). Can't be arsed with pineapples and saveloys this time. If the baby decides to rock up before the 19th, I'll just beg for my CS a few days early.

It's been a frustrating day. DD wouldn't behave so I shouted quite a bit. Couldn't get an internet price on my double buggy and had a frenetic lunch with 3 2 year olds who all were in bad moods(esp DD alas). I tried not to lose it but it was a close run thing. Now am cooking the supper waiting for DH to get home. WIll have a quick look at my emails so I know if anything awful awaits me at work tomorrow.

IS it a check up a week from 36 weeks? Haven't seen a midwife for yonks, as the GP is doing the honours. If I had 2 week checks, I'd only have one left. Ohmigod. It's getting a bit close.

Welcome new ladies - good to have you on board .

divastropwantstodrop · 27/02/2007 19:53

-great news rosy.maybe we will both give birth on our birthdays,eh?

welcome sugarrush

kitty-i strated having pains earlier that were quite scary, not like normal bh's but immense pain and tightening in the period pain area,as well as in my lower back.i had to sit down and let them pass before i could do anything(unlike the bh's which i could just carry on with).its all settled back down now,but is that what its like in the build-up to labour?i only had the standard bh's in my last 2 pregnancies cos the babies were made to come out a good 2 weeks before they were ready.

shanks-good luck with it all!!!

LunarSea · 27/02/2007 19:54

Do we need a new thread now if we're going to follow skanks blow by blow through the evening!?

DollyPopsOut · 27/02/2007 19:54

Sazzy - I snore like a drain at the moment acc DH (how very seductive). And I can't blow my nose without a bit of wee coming out. Pass the tenaladies.....

sazzybee · 27/02/2007 19:55

Wow shanks - how exciting! And you're early aren't you? Can you keep posting while you can? xx

Jaysecond · 27/02/2007 19:56

OOOO shanks you lucky thing you, sending all the best vibes your way, hope its quick and euphoric!! i am very of you!

Welcome to Kirsty and sugarush, great to have you onboard, theres still a whole heap of us here and a few that arent due till end of March so you wont be alone!

CP and Mossy and others, i too have been snoring, apparently.... cant see when it would have happened seeing as though i dont sleep at all anymore, but DH has poked me (and not with a savloy!!) and told me i was snoring! like 'Thanks Mr, i was asleep, now i am awake!' grrr

Whoo hoo Muppet, glad Buba has turned, race is on now to see which of us pops first! i too cant be bothered to cook, mind you i havnt done the cooking for the past few mths, DH has taken it over, along with some verbal supervision from me.. we had curry tonight too, i have also had nearly a whole pinneapple and i am on Raspberry capsules.... leaving the 'luvin' till the last!

divastropwantstodrop · 27/02/2007 19:58

lunar-i was going to mention that but i forgot.we were going to try and think of a cheesy+offensive title for the new thread but it never happened.

Jaysecond · 27/02/2007 20:14

well its after 8 now, shanks have you called the del suite???

shanks313 · 27/02/2007 20:18

Called the delivery suite and I have to go in to be assessed.
The midwive seems to think Im not in labour yet but will have to see when I get there.

Maybe be back in a few hours lol

rosylonginglily · 27/02/2007 20:22

Yeah it could build slowly for a while, you'll soon find out! If you come back then you might have to entertain us all with detailed descriptions all through your labour til it's too sore to type!!!

rosylonginglily · 27/02/2007 20:24

Diva it sounds like you might not be long now too!
Who's witty and clever and going to think of a new thread title? (not me)

divastropwantstodrop · 27/02/2007 20:28

i have all the imagination of a lump of wood atm.
