Wow can't believe I'm here 😁 I had a look, but couldn't see any other threads. Hopefully I won't be alone.

This will be our second baby. DS is 3.... 4 in january. EDD should be about 2nd August I think.

Hope I'm not alone for too long!

Thanks sociallyacceptablecookie

Jaffa your hospital would ask you to come back. They would rescan if you were too early for the screening.

Largemelons · 01/12/2016 09:38

Omg this exhaustion!
Can't keep my eyes open, it's awful!
I forgot how hard early pregnancy was!

firsttimer12345 · 01/12/2016 10:30

Glad I'm not the only one melons! Also having quite a lot of cramping, is anyone else? Is this normal?!

Largemelons · 01/12/2016 14:32

Cramping is totally normal. I always get it loads and it scares the crap out of me!

firsttimer12345 · 01/12/2016 15:24

Oh phew!!!! I've been stressing about it.

Blink1982 · 01/12/2016 19:47

The cramping is just all your insides stretching and making room for the baby.

My face is hurrendous right now. Lat time I had no spots for the first time in my life and I thought I'd get the same beautiful skin as I did then... so far no. I look like me tumbles bag 😁

No real symptoms to report here. Just back ache. Boobs are starting to ache a bit too.

Booking in appointment is 20th Dec. I'll have to take ds because nursery will be shut by then :/

Welcome to all the new ladies Xmas Smile

Glad it's not just me with the cramping... Find myself having to lie down and stretch out most evenings.

Not too many other symptoms yet other than I had my first weird pregnancy dream last night. DH laughed when I told him about it this morning, it was so far fetched Grin I'd forgotten about those from last time!

Sparklyuggs · 01/12/2016 22:49

I'm with you all on the cramping! I keep googling it to reassure myself it's normal as it feels so odd. Got sore boobs and spotty face, no one warned me how attractive the first trimester is Wink

alexnorthernireland1 · 01/12/2016 22:54

Hey guys, I'm due August too!! Any others having some awful cramps and sore boobs? Is this normal? Any tips? Xx

alexnorthernireland1 · 01/12/2016 22:55

Just realised that's what's being talked about lol sorry! I'm new to this all

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 01/12/2016 23:00

I have the cramping but I was also wondering if I'm overdoing the pelvic floor exercises. Blush

My skin has completely changed. My dry skin is smooth and soft and my eczema is almost gone. My cheeks are red and I have a random spot when normally I never get spots. I'm gorgeous! Hmm Maybe not...

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 01/12/2016 23:01

Hi, Alex! It's probably normal and you're in the right place to moan about it!

Timefor2 · 02/12/2016 07:14

Hello! I'm due about 7 August I think, this will be our second - DD will be 3. So glad to hear others are experiencing cramping and backache too so it's not unusual. With that plus light bleeding at the time of my period I've been convinced of the worst. Glad to find others to share all the details with.

ClaraLane · 02/12/2016 08:58

Is anyone else really struggling with anxiety about their pregnancy? Just been to see my doctor and I've got my first midwife appointment on 9th Jan when I'll be 10+6. Doctor thinks I should try some counselling but may need to start on a low dose of citalopram to keep my anxiety under control.

I've had depression in the past but this is comepletely different - I'm totally petrified that something is going to go wrong, to the extent I'm waking up at night to check if I'm bleeding because I'm so convinced I don't deserve this baby. Every time I get excited I have to tell myself that it's unlikely I'll have a successful pregnancy. I absolutely hate feeling like this and although I don't want to go on antidepressants I don't know what else to do.

Sparklyuggs · 02/12/2016 09:56

clara I've had anxiety in the past and it seems to be coming back now as I wake up worrying about things too. I'm hoping a scan in 2 weeks will help me feel like it's real and not imaginary!

Bryonie2017 · 02/12/2016 10:24

Hi all can I join? Positive test last week due around 6th Aug by my guesstimate although my dates are hazy! Very tired all the time at the moment but it still doesn't feel real!

alexnorthernireland1 · 02/12/2016 11:17

I have been getting spotting for a week now, is this worrying? X

whoateallthejaffacakes · 02/12/2016 14:23

had gp appointment today & she is dating it from 18th oct even though it's far too early. i know i'm not the 6+3wks she's predicting, im only 2+1wks since conception (4+1 by general measuring rules). now to wait for the 12wk booking app date at the hosp.
alex where will you be delivering?

oatybiscuits · 02/12/2016 16:14

Alex have you got a midwives number to call? I would definitely go and see about spotting, depending how many weeks you are they might be able to scan you. The likelihood is that it's fine but better to be reassured

oatybiscuits · 02/12/2016 16:16

FlowersClara I've never had anxiety but early pregnancy is a very anxious place! Scans do help but ime the best bit is when you start to feel the baby moving every day telling you they're okSmile

fuzzinmybrain · 02/12/2016 17:47

Hello everyone! I'm joining in too! Pregnant with my first, EDD 6 August I think.

I'm really struggling with anxiety at the moment, I keep thinking something will go wrong. I'm taking part in a pregnancy study that gives me four additional scans to the NHS ones, meaning my first will be in 1.5 weeks. I'm hoping we'll see a heartbeat (although I heard at 6w it's unlikely...) but I think it might reassure me slightly!

alexnorthernireland1 · 02/12/2016 20:51

alexnorthernireland1 · 02/12/2016 20:52

How do you tag? X

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 02/12/2016 21:13

Alex put the text you want to be in bold between two asterisks.

Sparklyuggs · 02/12/2016 21:23

fuzzinmybrain the study sounds interesting, I guess see it as a bonus if you see one but don't go in expecting one if that makes sense?
Bryonie welcome! I'm getting tired too, had a 2 hour nap earlier and still counting down until bedtime at 10pm.
