Wow can't believe I'm here 😁 I had a look, but couldn't see any other threads. Hopefully I won't be alone.

This will be our second baby. DS is 3.... 4 in january. EDD should be about 2nd August I think.

Hope I'm not alone for too long!

Brainfried - weird right, I lost a lot of weight over November but have managed to put it back on without excessive eating...maybe it's the r diced movement and lazing around in bed! I am super lazy atm I cannot be bothered to work, good thing it's Christmas me there are only a few people around to notice! Better get my bum back into gear as I have another 6 months before I get to slow timings down!

FudgeCrackers · 21/12/2016 11:03

Hi guys! I'm de-lurking to join this thread as I got my BFP on Saturday, although I'd suspected for a few days as there was a weird tugging sensation in my belly. My EDD is 24th August. My DH and I are still a bit shocked, as we'd only been trying a couple of months and expected it to take much longer.

Can anyone help with working out how far along I am? I think I'm 5 weeks today, but the NHS website says 4 weeks, and another calculator says 6 weeks. My last AF started 5th November, and I have a 40 day cycle. Pretty sure I ovulated on 30th Nov.

Brainfried1986 · 21/12/2016 11:17

FudgeCrackers - it sounds like you could be about 4+6. I think you shift by however many days longer than 28 your cycle is, so for you shift from Nov 5th to Nov 17th for 'day 1' of your pregnancy - which assumes you conceived approx Dec 1st.
That makes your EDD 24th August which is what you thought.

Of course your dating scan will reveal if your numbers are right!

Stormcloud10 · 21/12/2016 11:36

I'm dreading the sickness, it's lingering at the moment but nothing too bad but I suffered really badly with my two. I work for a showjumper so I have 8 horses to do every morning and I'm also a bar supervisor and I obviously have two boys 11 and 7 so I'm not sure how I'm going to manage if/when I'm sick!
It's like being hungover/travel sick constantly!

hrfvenia · 21/12/2016 13:14

stormcloud10 no advise but oh how I envy your morning work!

I have just had to give up my loan as 3 days before I found out I was pregnant pony decided he wanted to do airs above the ground and buck me off!

Stormcloud10 · 21/12/2016 13:36

I jump myself and I was supposed to be jumping mine at Hickstead next summer, I'll be waddling around grooming now lol! Luckily the girl I work for is one of my best friends so she's been great, I think she's going to take the ride on mine, she's very similar to your loan pony, but unfortunately she's 17.2! It's funny, I was always adamant I'd carry on riding for a few months, but as soon as I found out I can't bring myself to take the risk!

hrfvenia · 21/12/2016 13:53

I say pony he was 16.1 and definitely knew how to throw a buck.

Isn't it funny how different you actually feel compared to what you thought you might. I was sure I'd ride until it became uncomfortable but no chance would I get back on!!

thisismee · 21/12/2016 14:24

Thank you Heather. I hope your meds start working quickly for you.
Brain hopefully you will feel better while working away.

It's so awful. Sometimes actually being sick feels better then the constant nauseous dizzy feeling. I really feel for you all working through it. It's hard to concentrate on anything else.

I never went back to work after my mat leave , but running around after a 18 month old is quite a challenge. Thank goodness he still has a nice long nap in the day.

Booking in appointment was good. Lovely midwife. She wants me to have the GTT due to family history and a consultant appointment as DS was in NICU after he was born.

Its feeling a little more real now. I should hopefully get my scan date in the post within the next week. Very exciting .

OkyDoke · 21/12/2016 15:53

Having some cramping today, kinf of where my bikini line is. I assume (hope?) this is normal. Am 4+2 today.

thisismee glad your booking in went well!

I'm currently afraid to lift a bag of cat litter, so I don't blame you about showjumping!

lynseyc83 · 21/12/2016 17:44

Today's symptoms 5'weeks

Pregnant.

Fieldsandgrasses · 21/12/2016 18:07

Thanks Sparkly!

LoobyLou0226 · 21/12/2016 18:16

Hi can I join? Had my BFP on Sunday after first month trying for first baby so not surprised but a bit shocked it was so quick :) I am 4+3 I think. Anyone know how to join the FB group?

OkyDoke I've been having some mild cramps in the same area today so hoping that's normal too

MissT2095 · 21/12/2016 18:23

Hi Ladies,

Been lurking for a while now but could do with some advice

I'm currently 6+1 and have been spotting for about 4 days. It's more like a pink discharge than anything with occasional tiny specs of blood. It comes and goes and is never heavy and not had any cramping with it.

Has anybody else been experiencing anything similar?

Lixon · 21/12/2016 18:24

Wow, so many active posters now - it's hard to keep up!

I am with everyone on the exhaustion- I've achieved basically nothing at work this week which is not ideal, no urgent deadlines but it will make first week of January very painful!

Nice to see you back melons.

TMI did the doctor not suggest you get a blood test to check thyroid levels? My doctor is quite good and I upped my own dose by 25mg and since having a blood test I am taking an additional 25mg on alternate days. We have a thyroid thread on the Facebook group if you've joined Smile

Early scan tomorrow evening which means another day of achieving anything at work worrying about it..

bluesdetoi · 21/12/2016 18:24

Hi ladies,

I'm cautiously joining you, tested positive several days ago but honestly I have a hard time believing it and I don't want to jinx anything with these clubs, but it's nice to keep up with others in the same boat, so here I am.

My due date should be August 29th so I juuuust barely make it to join the august babies. Grin

OkyDoke · 21/12/2016 18:26

Loobylou - almost the same as me! Im 4 plus 2, first month first baby.

To me its just a dull ache down at bikini line. Not liking it! Not particularly painful but its worrying!

Lixon · 21/12/2016 18:29

If you message the poster SociallyAcceptablecookie your email she will add you to the Facebook group.

Also jealous of the show jumping yard work, I had visions of carrying on with dressage at least but actually planning riding around trying to conceive And various other things became so tricky I've barely ridden in nearly 2 years and will probably avoid completely now..

TMI26 · 21/12/2016 18:50

Lixon, mine was pants and told me to do all my tests together, worried about my thyroid levels as still two weeks till my appointment then more than likely 1 week for bloods plus results which will make me around 9-10 weeks in....I'm not planning on joining a Facebook group just yet as I haven't told any of my friends and slightly afraid it will flash up on everyone's newsfeed!!!! What is the name of the group as I would like to here stories??

Cocochops · 21/12/2016 19:12

Tmi it's a secret group so won't be visible to friends also means you can't search for it as its secret.

So hungry here sat waiting for dh to bring home fish and chips / eating liars at the moment!

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 21/12/2016 19:38

TMI no one can find the group or see it unless we add them. You're very safe joining us but of course there's no pressure. If anyone wants to join just pm me your email address and I'll invite you.

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 21/12/2016 19:44

Also your GP is definitely wrong but it can be so hard to convince them. It's better to have the test done ASAP, and then make sure they are not just comparing you to the non-pregnant range for TSH. It would be better if they would just increase our levothyroxine automatically but very few are willing to do that.

yolorolo · 21/12/2016 19:57

Hi all been off the thread for a while as have had no internet and then I have been bleeding on and off for a few days. wasn't sure if all was well or not. After a very long wait in epau today had a scan and baby seems ok, good heartbeat and measuring as it should. Phew! Congrats to all and will try and catch up as it seems to have moved on. Hope all.ok with everyone.

Lixon · 21/12/2016 20:00

How much levothyroxine are you on TMI and do you already have 25mg tablets? I might go back and insist on a blood test now if I were you but if not and you feel you're not on a sufficient level there is the option of increasing your own dose as a last resort. I read a few things online that suggested upping by 25-50mg should effectively be done as a matter of course but as socially says some doctors seem more willing than others to be proactive

Lixon · 21/12/2016 20:04

Great news yolo, what a relief!

I just had my 12 week scan date through for 30 January so glad I have a private one tomorrow as I'm so impatient and would struggle otherwise. No date for midwife appointment but assuming it will be mid January...

JasperPotato · 21/12/2016 20:30

Can I please join?

Congratulations to everyone and I hope you're all feeling ok today.

This is my first at the tender age of 41. I've been really anxious because my symptoms aren't really strong. I have sore boobs, bloating and low grade nausea but none of it extreme. We booked a scan for reassurance, my dates made me 7+4 today but when the sonographer measured she said it's closer to 8 weeks.

So there it was, our little 7-8 week blob with its tiny heart flickering away. Hearing the heartbeat was amazing. I feel so much better knowing that it's looking fine at this stage but I doubt I'll actually stop being anxious until around 20 weeks! Then I can focus my anxiety on the birth. Grin
