Wow can't believe I'm here 😁 I had a look, but couldn't see any other threads. Hopefully I won't be alone.

This will be our second baby. DS is 3.... 4 in january. EDD should be about 2nd August I think.

Hope I'm not alone for too long!

So I've been sick more than once since my last post and I've called in sick and am at the GP surgery. It can't go on like this. I'm terrified he won't take me seriously.

Fieldsandgrasses · 19/12/2016 08:49

How many weeks are you Firsttimer? I'm cranky too!

Fieldsandgrasses · 19/12/2016 08:49

GP should be helpful Socially!

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 19/12/2016 09:06

GP was not helpful. No meds. I told him I could only drink less than 100 ml at any time and he said keep doing that.

firsttimer12345 · 19/12/2016 09:45

6 +4 today fields. Probably cranky because I feel a little sick and headachy and crampy.

Brainfried1986 · 19/12/2016 09:57

Think I'm 4 weeks today, which oddly feels much better than being 3+!
Trying to fight the nausea in the morning by eating soon enough after I wake up, which mostly works, but throughout the day if I get too hungry I start to feel sick, so gonna be carrying snacks around in my handbag from now on.
Dreamt about baby last night - can't believe I still have 36 weeks to wait! Still keeping fingers firmly crossed that my little sprout hangs on in there...

Carlotta82248 · 19/12/2016 10:10

Anyone else full of rage? I'm sure I'm not normally such a cow haha xxx

MrsG280516 · 19/12/2016 10:11

I'm still having a lot of strong cramps too. I don't mind when they're mild and can just be ignored but there's been a few cramps lately that really feel like period pains. 6 weeks tomorrow.

Fieldsandgrasses · 19/12/2016 10:41

Measuring a couple of other people are cramp too. Sorry the GP was so crap Socially.

Fieldsandgrasses · 19/12/2016 10:41

Reassuring not measuring!

Alphon5e · 19/12/2016 10:43

Hello everyone! First time posting and first time pregnant after a year of ttc. Found out on Thursday that I was pg and still in complete shock because it seemed like it was never going to happen! I think I'm 5 weeks today, already feeling sicky and crampy. Off to see the GP this afternoon. Eek!

Sparklyuggs · 19/12/2016 11:54

socially please try to see another GP, there are drugs they can give you and it's cruel to make you suffer. I'm on cyclizine which makes me very tired and a bit zombied but stops the sickness which is good for days I need to travel etc.

I'm getting quite a few craps but my IBS has been bad too, I'm starting to tell the difference between them now!

user1480930113 · 19/12/2016 12:31

Hi all,

Can I join in.... Found out I'm pregnant with no 2 on Friday. After 3 years of not trying not to conceive Wink can't quite believe it. No symptoms yet, worked out I am due 17th Aug which feels like forever!! When are you lot planning on telling family etc? X

Firsttimer144 · 19/12/2016 13:38

Hi guys!

Thought I'd join in on the chat as i'm starting to work myself up.

This is our first baby and we got pregnant the first month of trying, which took me a bit by suprise. I think I'm 4+6 and my due date is 19th August.

I've started to worry because I don't feel pregnant; I have no symptoms or cramping. I took another test yesterday just to make sure I'm still pregnant.

I'm now worrying about miscarrying and other things I shouldn't be thinking about.

Am I crazy or are there any other first time moms feeling this way?

WantingBaby1 · 19/12/2016 14:00

firsttimer totally normal. Apart from the achy boobs I don't feel pregnant at all today. I'm 7 wks. Apparently it's really common so I wouldn't worry. The bean will still be there! The miscarriage risk decreases every day and will already be very low if you're 4 + 6.

lynseyc83 · 19/12/2016 14:00

I'm
In the same boat firsttimer other than getting dizzy at times I don't feel pregnant.
My pregnancy test have
All be faint positive- did another 2 days ago and that was also faint.
My last pregnancy my breast hurt and I was sick all the time

DrewOB0 · 19/12/2016 15:04

7+5 here. I'm emetophobic and nearly threw up on commute this morning, so that's fun :( Apart from bad lower back pain I don't really have any symptoms

Firsttimer144 · 19/12/2016 15:42

Thanks for the reassurance everyone Smile

In a very weird way (which I know I will regret thinking once it kicks in), I'm looking forward to the morning sickness just so that I can feel pregnant.

Another worry is my weight. I had just got back off holiday when I found out, so I had piled on lots of extra pounds. My BMI has gone from overweight to 30 which is obese. I always imagined I'd give birth in a birthing centre, but I won't be able to with such a high BMI.

Is anyone trying to watch how much they gain? If so, how are you going about it? I was thinking of joining SW in the new year.

Sparklyuggs · 19/12/2016 15:47

firsttimer I may be completely wrong but I think some pg women follow slimming world with approval from their midwife. Definitely have a chat with them or your GP about it and try not to worry about what has been gained/eaten, just look forward.

I just ate an entire Terry's choc orange Blush

Fieldsandgrasses · 19/12/2016 15:55

I've just had a scan and all ok, had braced myself for bad news. Two heartbeats!

Stormcloud10 · 19/12/2016 16:01

Wonderful news fields!

OkyDoke · 19/12/2016 16:04

I am still in complete shock. Can't quite believe it. How do people ever stop testing?

Sparklyuggs · 19/12/2016 16:16

AiryFairy1991 · 19/12/2016 16:19
