Wow can't believe I'm here 😁 I had a look, but couldn't see any other threads. Hopefully I won't be alone.

This will be our second baby. DS is 3.... 4 in january. EDD should be about 2nd August I think.

Hope I'm not alone for too long!

Sorry for your loss mrs look after yourself.

My nausea is hideous. I'm fine early on then throughout the day is gets worse. I'm not even 6 weeks til Tuesday!
Not complaining as it's reassuring but it's going to be a struggle keeping it quiet at work if I keep going like this 😩

Blink1982 · 11/12/2016 16:39

Sorry for your loss mrskjneate I lost my first in July but I am now pg again. First pregnancy loss seems to be very common. Look after yourself, you will have your rainbow baby Flowers

Mrskjneate · 11/12/2016 19:03

Thank you ladies so much. Thankfully I've got a very supportive and loving family, so I'm coping okay. Just hoping my next pregnancy will last - makes me anxious to try again. Thanks for all of your well wishes xx

Fieldsandgrasses · 11/12/2016 19:51

Sorry Mrskjneate. Early scan tomorrow, first thing. Am finding the waiting very hard, despite being so busy with seasonal stuff. Surprising how a MMC can affect you. Am supposed to be going out for drinks later this week but just not sure I can face it. Hate going to pubs and not having a drink at the moment; don't normally mind. Think it's because it's so cold. I just want to stay at home at the moment.

Lixon · 11/12/2016 20:29

So sorry for your loss Mrskjneate but glad to hear you have a good support support network, miscarriages are so much ch more common than I realised (1 in 4 pregnancies end in one I think) which made me feel marginally better.

Sorry to hear about the wedding disaster firsttimer, I don't think people realise how insensitive they are. I hope those suffering with nausea find something to ease it soon, I haven't had it with pregnancy yet but ready salted crisps do wonders with sea and car sickness.

I outed myself at an afternoon tea with some surprise Brie sandwiches yesterday, two good friends who I was considering telling anyway but it wasn't quite how I planned.

I am all about the 4am insomnia at the moment and dying of tiredness, have been doing and saying really stupid things all weekend :/

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 11/12/2016 21:53

I'm so sorry mrsk. Flowers

Cocochops · 11/12/2016 22:40

Sorry mrsk Flowershope you are getting lots of support and take care of yourself.

Can't believe how many people are being outed! Even if I suspected someone was pregnant I wouldn't say anything to them.

I am currently getting round this problem by avoiding going out! Had a few Xmas friends catchups a few weeks ago before I knew and can't make the works Xmas party so think I am safe ( until parents come for Xmas that is- any bright ideas of hiding non drinking for 3 days??!!)

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 11/12/2016 22:49

I know, cocohops! If you think someone is pregnant but keeping it a secret, why would you say anything? That's so rude!

DrewOB0 · 12/12/2016 08:36

Morning all!
Any tricks to hide the lack of drinking at Xmas party? I think my office does big supply soft drinks :( im thinking alcohol free Crabbies, looks like cider.

WantingBaby1 · 12/12/2016 09:03

I've got 3 work dos this week, going to say I had a migraine tonight and don't want to risk drinking in case it exacerbates it. Fx!

Oggy88 · 12/12/2016 09:09

I had my in-laws for dinner last night and it was pretty hard! I had a glass of wine next I me as I always cook with wine, then said I wanted to slow down. I still had a glass next to me, which I was "sipping" from. Think that's what I'll do this week. I don't think people care as much as we think they do Wink

Heatherbaby · 12/12/2016 10:25

I organised the xmas party for my deparyment, and its on thurs. Last year I got famously **faced and karaoke was involved Blush everyone has been making jokes about what drunken antics I have planned this year so it will be so hard to disguise not drinking!!

So far I've come up with saying I'm taking antibiotics for a throat infection (I have had a cold so not toooo unrealistic). It is hard when you are of the demographic that could be ttc I always get accused of being prego!

MrsG280516 · 12/12/2016 10:30

I have our work Xmas party this Wednesday. I'm going to just hopefully drink diet coke pretending it has vodka in and hope no one offers to buy me a drink! Its typical as its the first year in ages that we've got a night time do rather than just a meal at lunch time, it would be easy not to drink at lunch time!
