Wow can't believe I'm here 😁 I had a look, but couldn't see any other threads. Hopefully I won't be alone.

This will be our second baby. DS is 3.... 4 in january. EDD should be about 2nd August I think.

Hope I'm not alone for too long!

Lizzie sorry to read that.. it's such a heartbreaking process isn't it.. thinking of you & look after yourself xx

Lixon welcome and thank you!
Wishing you lots of luck and a happy healthy pregnancy!
It's certainly been tough, for the first 2 years we were certain it just wasn't our time, and 'things would happen'. It wasn't until we'd been trying for 2.5 years that we went to the doctors to get checked out...
Tons of hospital appointments, investigations, tests, fertility treatments & 1.5 years later & I'm 6+1 with my first!
But yes the anxiety, stress, worries and nerves have certainly held me back along the way!!
Hoping for a smooth ride....

Largemelons · 08/12/2016 22:44

Oh I'm so sad reading these messages because I know how it feels. I've been knicker checking like mad today due to awful cramping but all clear so far.
My 3 m/c were between 4-6 weeks. I'm 5+3 tomorrow, just hoping I make it.
Take care ladies x

I've just tried a pregnancy yoga video on YouTube and I have to say I feel like the nausea has gone down a step from it and the aching back has eased. I keep reading about how keeping active in pregnancy is so good for mum and baby but easier said than done when facing morning sickness. Anyone exercising/ being active in this early stage?

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 09/12/2016 10:23

Sparkly I'm glad the yoga helped. How are feeling in general? Are the meds helping?

I did a pregnancy yoga video on Amazon prime which really helped calm me down when I was really anxious last weekend. I'm always afraid that bending will make me sick when my nausea is at it's worst though. I've also started walking partway home now, about a 40 min walk. I'm not expecting miracles but anything to make me feel a bit better and clear my head.

firsttimer12345 · 09/12/2016 10:41

I've been doing the pregnancy Pilates on Amazon prime. It is helping with my energy levels for sure!
Had my first experience of morning nausea today!

MrsG280516 · 09/12/2016 10:58

I've had the odd sicky feeling here and there but nothing lasting long enough to be classed as nausea yet, I'm only 4+3 though so still early days.

I'm not really doing any regular exercise but I walked my puppy for half an hour this morning and will do an hour tomorrow and Sunday. I might have a look into some yoga videos as it seems like a nice relaxed way to get a bit of activity in.

Sparklyuggs · 09/12/2016 11:04

socially I feel better than I did last week-the weekly flying definitely worsens the morning sickness so being signed off uni for a few weeks has helped. The meds haven't been great as they upset my stomach but as I'm starting to feel better I'm hoping I'll be ok without meds. The video I did didn't have bending in it so no sicky feeling.

You all sound quite active! I'm thinking of joining a gym with a pool so I can swim, I had been doing Barre and hiit classes but can't do the latter at all and only one of the Barre classes.

MrsG I want a puppy! Our landlord won't let us, we had said we would move next summer so I could get a dog but think the baby has derailed that!

MrsG280516 · 09/12/2016 11:07

sparkly well I say puppy but he is 15 months today, he's totally my first baby though and I think it is going to be hard on him when the real baby arrives! He's still very energetic and mischievous so I'm hoping he calms down over the next 8 months.

Heatherbaby · 09/12/2016 11:13

Hi everyone.

Ooh I may try pregnancy yoga or pilates...sounds like a low impact and low intensity way of getting fit!

Can anyone recommend any good pregnancy apps?

Sorry to sound like I know nothing but when you ladies say you are 4+3 for example I guess this is 4 weeks plus 3 days? And similar to an earlier question do the weeks count from first day of last period? I want to be down with the lingo to make a decent contribution and know exactly where I am in pregnancy hehe

MrsG280516 · 09/12/2016 11:19

Hi Heather, yes your pregnancy gets dated from the first day of your last period, you're right 4+3 means 4 weeks and 3 days since the start of my last period. When you have your dating scan they might change the due date a little bit depending on the size/growth of the baby.

Lizzielicious · 09/12/2016 11:44

Oo I must look up pregnancy pilates/yoga! I do pilates normally anyway but I guess there will be things I can't do later on in the pregnancy. I also jog/run 3 or 4 times a week. I'm hoping to continue that for as long as pregnancy symptoms let me!

Timefor2 · 09/12/2016 13:38

Thinking of you Lizzie and Robin

Am struggling big style with Christmas party season and not drinking - am certain colleagues will put the signs together. Going to have to keep making excuses to drive Confused

firsttimer12345 · 09/12/2016 14:35

We are at a wedding tomorrow timefor2 and I am dreading it. My best friend will be the there and will definitely question no booze.

AiryFairy1991 · 09/12/2016 14:47

I've already been caught out by friends! Supposed to be having dinner with them tonight and used the antibiotic excuse, they text my other friend (who does know) like 2 seconds later! I'm still insisting it's antibiotics though as I still feel it's too early to tell everyone.

MrsG280516 · 09/12/2016 14:57

I used the antibiotics excuse last night as we went for a meal with my parents and close family. I think I just about got away with it but my mum knows we were trying anyway so may well have her suspicions.

Sparklyuggs · 09/12/2016 15:05

firstimer I have a wedding tomorrow too!

I'm not hopeful I'll get away with it, people are used to me not drinking a lot (IBS which flares up with alcohol) but combined with the tiredness and looking rubbish I think they'll guess. The friends I'm going with are lovely but a little immature, they ask if I'm pregnant every time I see them. I understand they're excited but they've not learned that it's a bit rude to ask someone that in public....even if I was further on I wouldn't announce it at my friend's wedding (I see them all frequently). One friend knows so she said she'll intervene if it comes up and back up my no drinking excuse.

Oggy88 · 09/12/2016 15:30

Hey ladies, mind if I join you? Got my BFP this morning, app says I'm due 20th August. Exciting times! Smile

firsttimer12345 · 09/12/2016 15:50

Sparkly I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to get round it yet. My in laws live down the road so we were walking to there's to stay after so no driving excuse! We aren't staying now as I have to work early in the morning on Sunday but still only a few miles away from home.

Any ideas?!
