Wow, will look and see if there is anything I want from Verbaudet. The only things I have bought from them before was a baby bjorn sling and some maternity trousers on a massive 50% introductory discount.

Frenchsmallfry · 16/02/2007 13:55

It's cheaper on the French site. Was looking at a bag on the UK site I quite liked £23.99, had a look if it's the same products on the French site and it's 26euros for the same bag. Still bet the codes won't work.

Juicylucytoo · 16/02/2007 15:13

Didn't work when I tried it not that I intended to buy it. Think it will be a few years before Pod has sleepovers

Benson - where did you get the 50% discount from?

Afternoon all

I thought i did so well this morning, I caught up on all the gossip and was planning on spending the afternoon chatting. Dh is working this afternoon and both ds's were at school so I was looking forward to an afternoon of MNet and chocolate (after i'd put the washing on, of course)Boy was i wrong. First ds2 decided to cover his face and hands with purple felt tip pen, pretending he had measles, just as we were about to leave the house for pre-school and just for the sake of it, it was those horrible pens that dont wash off easily so he still has a few spots, his teacher thought it was hilarious Then on the walk home ds1 saw me and somehow convinced me that i didnt want my nice relaxing afternoon but that i wanted to accopany his class to the swimming pool, they needed an extra chaperone. Ive only just got back and now have to leave to pick ds2 up!! Im glad i went though, ds1 has only been allowed to join in twice because of his fits but he did really well, swam a length on his front and then on his back. Anyway now have to pop off but will 'hopefully' be back on here in a bit (unless anything else happens)

I smell of chlorine and i didnt even go in the water

LupinsBigLump · 16/02/2007 15:34

I used the 0903 code the other day, ordered a baby nest originally £18.99, in the sale at £8.99 used £10 off code and it cost nothing lol just the postage

I have just had a sleep with my dd - I love doing that, she was insisting she wasnt tired - never mind that she was yawning rubbing eyes and being a cow - anyway we have both woken up in better mooded

SOH can we send our "gits" over to you dh for lessons pls

Pebble you will just have to spend all evening with us we will have a friday night of mn, chocolate and gossip lol

Off to make sweets with dd in a mo - pink heart things, will share with you all tnite

Hello. Just back from my scan. All good. Baby is a good size they said; estimated around 1.1kg.

Have scoffed over half a packet of Mikado (marshmallow) biscuits so no doubt I've added a few grams on!

ShowOfHandsWithStubbleRash · 16/02/2007 18:22

1.1kg, what's that in real money? A kg is 2.2lb, is that right?

I'm still working in imperial I'm afraid.

It's too quiet on here today. Everybody's preparing for their big meet-up tomorrow no doubt.

I've come home to find that DH has been eating my boursin. Criminal.

twelveyeargap · 16/02/2007 18:27

It's about 38oz, so er, 2lbs 6oz.

Oh God, I'm stuffed full of Mikado bikkis and Foxes' Classics.

ShowOfHandsWithStubbleRash · 16/02/2007 18:44

Oh I've eaten far too many coconut snowballs today. I'm sure this baby's going to be an 11lb-er!

I've gone from having no appetite to being starving. It's not good.

BefnalBub · 16/02/2007 18:45

wow tyg - does your bump feel heavy? i've just hit 26 wks and by the 'books' bub should weigh nearly 2lbs and its making my bump hurt! leaning forward eg for washing up or chopping up veg now a no-no!

I've just checked all the profiles for tomorrow in the hope of a sneak preview of what everyone looks like - but can't see any photos. or maybe you are just hiding them from me

lillaura · 16/02/2007 18:48

this meet sounds good shame im stuck here tell me about heavy hurting bumps i cant do my shoe laces up

ShowOfHandsWithStubbleRash · 16/02/2007 18:52

Cinnamon, just been looking at profiles of May07ers and I'm impressed.

I also love Robert Jordan, The Cat Empire and Crowded House.

You have good taste in many things as well as baby names!

BefnalBub · 16/02/2007 18:53

a lady at work yesterday had a 5kg bar of dairy milk delivered from an agency. oh my god! never knew milk chocolate could be nice. each segment was so large it had to be chopped up. truly, truly amazing.

lillaura · 16/02/2007 18:59

ShowOfHandsWithStubbleRash · 16/02/2007 19:14

I don't live in big nasty London so won't be going to their little meet-up.

BefnalBub · 16/02/2007 19:16

scootermum · 16/02/2007 20:50

Evening all,

DD has been incorrigible today. She will not be put down for more than two seconds at the moment without screaming her head off.

Took her for a two hour walk in the end in the cross country buggy.I failed to figure on the Somme like condtions underfoot however which made pushing hardwork.Bump and arms aching like mad by the time we got back.DD also managed to chuck her hat into the muddiest puddle she could find en route. We did see a snake whilst we were out though-the first one ive ever seen in England.Let myself down a bit though by letting out a little yelp when it moved. It took me by surprise becuase I thought it was a stick and had been about to go over it.

DD in bed now so we are just settling down for a super healthy tea of pizza and ice cream and a bit of telly. We are so wild!

DH is drinking a chilled bottle of Tiger.I cant watch.(Scoot slinks into kitchen to get a glass of water in a sulk)

LupinsBigLump · 16/02/2007 20:55

I have taken to eating bowl of cereal at about 10 at night otherwise I wake up at 3 bloody starving - have been rather piggy today it must be said - oh well

Glad Im not the only only one who is struggling with their shoes - must look at getting some slip ons, bump is definatly getting much much bigger and in the way

When mw measured me my bump is all the way up to the top of my tummy - it cant get any higher this is where I start growing outwards lol, wont be long before I cant get off the sofa - have had 2 people tell me I look ready to drop already am only 25 wks - where will it go the next 13 wks worth of growth arghhhhhhhhh

scootermum · 16/02/2007 21:07

Me too.Im sure im as big now as I was with DD at full term, (except around the face thank god-in the last two weeks with dd my face took on Moon like proportions, I mean really. It was alarming..)
My SIL is 33 weeks and looks about 12 weeks and like a fashion model to make matters worse..And people dont seem to realise that it isnt actual helpful to make constant comparisons.
Ah im past caring anyway..I'll lose it all after and go back to being a size 10 and kop off with Ryan from the OC.(in my dreams)
