Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 48th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 47th grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 61st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread <a class="break-all" href="//onwww.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/2588689-we-re-still-teething-trying-to-wean-and-our-babies-just-won-t-go-to-sleep-when-we-re-trying-to-js-for-another-one-it-s-just-mumming-no-11" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

I'm 16+3. I was quite surprised by it, I thought it'd be much further away.

It's all very random and really light so quite the novelty when it happens!

justtheonethen · 08/08/2017 13:48

Oh I can't wait to feel baby. Make it feel a bit more real!

justtheonethen · 08/08/2017 13:49

Mum has been to visit and bought some adorable m&s sleepsuits so we have something for the baby now. I am going to hold off buying anything until the scan I think.

Elbi · 08/08/2017 14:21

Oh hooray for feeling movements! How exciting.

NovaArt3mis · 08/08/2017 17:39

I love the sleepsuits in M&S.

Well, it's taken four months but I've just had my first irrational cry Grin Told DM about movements and her reply was along the lines of "it's probably just trapped wind". Of course it could be (I'm pretty sure it's not) but a little excitement wouldn't go amiss Sad

justtheonethen · 08/08/2017 18:23

Way to piss on your parade nova, not an irrational cry at all Sad

SofiePendragon · 08/08/2017 18:43

Why have you guys been having your carbon dioxide measured? I don't think mine has been?

M&S sleepsuits are gorgeous and really well made as well - decent thick material to keep bubba warm.

All this talk of buying stuff has made me start planning ahead a bit. There's an nct nearly new sale near me in September which will be the last one before due date so i need to get the stuff I have stashed out and work out what I need before then. Smile

How exciting feeling movements nova! I think I've felt a few flutters in the last week or two. I do think movements feel different to wind so I'm sure what you felt was real.

Just hope you're feeling better. Have you been signed off work?

FuzzyOwl · 08/08/2017 18:44

I would say you felt movement Nova. We might get more tapped wind when pregnant, but baby movements are unlike anything other than what they are, so if you felt something completely different to before (when you could also easily have had trapped wind) then I would say that was the baby. I would probably have cried as well.

FuzzyOwl · 08/08/2017 18:46

Sofie my carbon dioxide was measured with DC1 (although I had to request it) but not with DC2. I've never smoked but with DC1, I lived in a city so maybe that made a difference.

justtheonethen · 08/08/2017 18:47

Luckily I'm not working at the moment, I a maths teacher but starting new job delivering inset to teachers in September. Have an observation over a full day training which I'm dreading, really hoping I feel ok by then!
It's freelance but I still don't want to tell them I'm pregnant yet! They will likely be a bit annoyed Grin.

The co2 is to check you don't have a dodgy boiler/are breathing in loads of pollution my midwife said. Or maybe she thought I looked like a secret smoker Grin

justtheonethen · 08/08/2017 18:47

Ah yes we are near/in London so that could be why

SofiePendragon · 08/08/2017 18:52

Are you sure it wasn't carbon monoxide (CO)? I heard some areas are doing that routinely now to catch out secret smokers, but my area doesn't. That's also what goes up if you have a dodgy boiler. Not sure there's much you can do about living a polluted city though! Maybe a good excuse for lots of country holidays Grin

justtheonethen · 08/08/2017 19:32

Maybe Grin

NovaArt3mis · 08/08/2017 20:16

Aw thanks, I feel better knowing it wasn't a particularly great response from her. She backtracked a bit when I didn't text back so maybe she realised and felt a bit bad.

Yeah that's the one sofie.

Elbi · 08/08/2017 20:42

Oh Nova! I think I'd have cried too. I'm sure you know what trapped wind feels like... You'd be unlikely to muddle it with baby movements.

I had my carbon monoxide checked - the midwife said they used to only test smokers but then a lady with a dodgy boiler slipped through the net. Told DH when I got back that my score was 0.2 (apparently up to 0.4 is normal) and he freaked out! Hated the idea of there being ANY carbon monoxide in me and literally booked a boiler service for the following morning. Boiler, of course, was absolutely fine Hmm

FuzzyOwl · 08/08/2017 21:10

I meant monoxide! Blush

pretzelpieces · 08/08/2017 22:52

elbi ah true, it's hard not to downplay it. Not yet, appointment is next Thursday.

I suggested the same thing to someone on the feb babies thread a little while ago! That it could be wind, I mean. Hope I didn't upset the person. Anyway I think I'm feeling movements now so that's me shut up 😬

pretzelpieces · 08/08/2017 22:53

I had the CO tested as well, I think mine was 0.2 also (we do live next to a main road).

NovaArt3mis · 09/08/2017 06:48

I'm sure you wouldn't have upset her pretzel, it was more the fact that it was my mum who said it.

I'm also guilty of downplaying things at the doctor elbi. When I went about my headaches the other week the GP was agast that I haven't sought help for my migraines in 15 years.

justtheonethen · 09/08/2017 12:56

zyla is your scan soon? Today? If so good luck!

pretzelpieces · 10/08/2017 11:16

Ah thanks nova that's reassuring. Sorry your mum hurt your feelings though :( I guess she should have known. It's also in the way these things are said, I think.

We had our pre wedding photo shoot yesterday, which I was so nervous about because I thought I'd feel unbearably awkward, but we both had a lot of fun in the end. Our photographer is a fellow viroid! And she really put us at ease, she's lovely.

justtheonethen · 10/08/2017 12:07

pretzel we have the same photographer Smile

I felt like a right dick during the pre shoot Grin but lovely photos and the wedding photos are amazing!

NovaArt3mis · 10/08/2017 12:19

I felt so uncomfortable during my pre-wedding shoot and it was a close friend. But it's completely different on the day. I barely noticed her (the sign of a good wedding photographer they say) and I still look back at our photos in awe of what she managed to capture.

I'm off to my hometown to visit my gran and tell her our news! Quite late but wanted to tell her in person.

pretzelpieces · 10/08/2017 17:16

just she mentioned that! I'd love to see your pics, can I be fb friends with you?

nova glad you also had a good experience despite initial awkwardness! Enjoy telling your gran :)

justtheonethen · 10/08/2017 17:17

You can but I haven't put any fb pics on Blush. Keep meaning too so maybe I will now! But yes absolutely x
