Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 48th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 47th grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 61st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread <a class="break-all" href="//onwww.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/2588689-we-re-still-teething-trying-to-wean-and-our-babies-just-won-t-go-to-sleep-when-we-re-trying-to-js-for-another-one-it-s-just-mumming-no-11" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

All is well :) Measured 12+4 exactly, NT looked fine and little hands and feet were wiggling nicely.

justtheonethen · 04/08/2017 10:23

tri Star fab news

NovaArt3mis · 04/08/2017 11:13

Well done fuzzy

Brilliant news tri

Is it odd that we've not bought a single thing yet? We ended up not getting a token babygrow or anything after the scan. And DH still hasn't told any of his friends/work, think he's still worried it's all going to go wrong again. I am getting rounder daily which I think is helping him believe it's going ok though.

FuzzyOwl · 04/08/2017 15:20

Great news Tri.

Thanks for the support everyone.

I don't think we bought anything for DD1 until I was about 34 weeks Nova.

SofiePendragon · 04/08/2017 18:59

Great news Tri

Nova my dh didn't tell anyone at work for ages first time round. I was really worried he'd miss out on paternity leave at one point and insisted he inform HR, but it was another couple of weeks after that before he told his boss. I think it just didn't feel real to him so when he was at work he wouldn't think to mention it - he's not the type to tell people about his home life as a matter of course anyway.

I think lots of people don't buy anything until after the 20 week scan.

Elbi · 04/08/2017 22:35

Tri that's great! And glad you went Fuzzy.

Viroids, I'm panicking a bit. Fell asleep under a spotlight lamp, fully dressed and with a cat on my lap. Woke up SO hot and no idea how long for - only realised once I woke up how much I'd overheated. Now worried I've gone and messed things up!

FuzzyOwl · 04/08/2017 22:54

Honestly Elbi I know how easy it is to worry about every little thing but I really wouldn't be concerned. I suspect you woke up naturally once you started to overheat which is very different to be submerged in a jacuzzi or in a sauna where you continue to stay hot - and even then, I think it is just a precaution as many countries don't advise avoiding them.

Elbi · 05/08/2017 00:45

Thanks Fuzzy - feeling a bit better now but the anxiety monkeys got me for a moment there.

NovaArt3mis · 05/08/2017 09:54

Good to know! I think when we get back from our holiday at the end of September we'll start thinking about purchases.

DH has been applying for new jobs sofie so I'm a tad concerned about paternity leave too.

What fuzzy said elbi I think it's quite difficult to raise your internal body tempature to the point where it would have any impact.

In exactly a month we should know if we're having a girl or boy which is pretty bloomin' exciting.

SofiePendragon · 05/08/2017 10:50

Nova I think the rules for the two weeks of paternity are the same as for maternity so if he gets a new job he wouldnt be entitled to leave. Wouldn't stop him asking for it as part of the negotiations before starting though - I think some companies are happy to be accommodating about things like that as it's quite a small issue in the grand scheme of things.

Exciting that your 20 week scan is so close. Mine's in mid September so around 6 weeks away. We're not going to find out the sex, but I think I'll feel a bit more relaxed about it all if we get to that point.

Elbi I'm sure you haven't done any harm. I had to sit in a roasting car with no air conditioning in the recent hot weather - I felt terrible, it was so hot and I did worry a little bit at the time but no ill effects as far as I know. I think the biggest risk of getting hot is you're more likely to faint, so you need to be careful when you stand up.

NovaArt3mis · 05/08/2017 12:22

Oh fab idea about using it in negotiations if he was offered anything sofie and yes to feeling more relaxed after that scan. I guess once movements start that can be reassuring too. Is this your first?

I can't wait for a new fred, I need stats, worst memory ever.

SofiePendragon · 05/08/2017 12:44

This will be my second (hopefully!) - I have a DD who'll be 3 in the autumn.

I found movements reassuring last time once they were regular and definite. By that time I had a definite bump so it all felt more real anyway. I remember 24 weeks felt really significant last time though - I felt like if things went wrong from that point, the baby would still have a chance of surviving.

NovaArt3mis · 06/08/2017 15:49

We bought something!

How's everyone doing?

FuzzyOwl · 06/08/2017 18:43

They are lovely Nova and tend to be great, long lasting quality.

I'm feeling quite calm and ok today. Speaking to the GP has made a huge difference as I just feel I already have someone onside who is listening to me and able to help.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

pretzelpieces · 06/08/2017 22:07

Hi everyone, sorry I've been slow at keeping up. I've been feeling quite anxious too. I've made an appointment with the GP. Think I'll take the advice of writing some things down before I go.

Sorry to the viroids feeling poorly mentally and physically, especially you just it sounds awful. Don't hesitate to seek hospital help again if you need it.

zyla and tri congrats on lovely scans. Wonderful news.

Elbi · 06/08/2017 22:56

Thanks for the back up on the overheating viroids. I felt better once I realised Serena Williams probably got 'quite warm' winning the Australian Open in the early stages of pregnancy.....

Nova yes I could do with a stats reminder too! And nice purchase Smile

pretzel I'm also struggling with anxiety and visiting the doc tomorrow. It's no fun!

justtheonethen · 07/08/2017 10:26

Hi all. Been on a drip again, ketones up to 5 so that was fun. I'm out now though and feeling tentatively great. On a cocktail of drugs which I am upset about but I was getting to the point where I was having some really dark thoughts so the more drugs to deal with the sickness the better.

Hope all ok. Just had my booking appointment and had a traumatic blood taking from hand as I have no veins in my arms anymore. Sad
Apart from that all fine. She was very impressed with my co2 reading and as I am a swot I feel like Halo.

I actually feel like I want to shop for baby now, and more importantly I've remembered that I do want this baby which I was find it hard to hold on to.

Hope all ok Smile

justtheonethen · 07/08/2017 10:26

Sorry anxious viroids. Hope you all get some support. Flowers

Elbi · 07/08/2017 10:47

Swot solidarity just Halo So so glad you're feeling better and more positive too. Onwards and upwards.

FuzzyOwl · 07/08/2017 11:24

That sounds awful just and I really hope you stay feeling great now.

pretzelpieces · 07/08/2017 22:47

Sorry to hear that elbi, I hope the doc you saw today was helpful?

just you've been through so much for this baby already - I hope it goes plain sailing from here!

Elbi · 08/08/2017 06:33

Thanks pretzel yes she was helpful but limited in what she can do. My trouble is I always make light of what's going on when I'm actually in the doctor's surgery, which doesn't help in the long run! Have you had your appointment yet?

NovaArt3mis · 08/08/2017 11:42

Oh just what a rubbish time you're having of it. I really hope it gets a bit better as time goes on. I was complimented on my CO2 too!

So, I'm almost certain I felt a little someone wriggling around quite a lot this morning for the first time!

justtheonethen · 08/08/2017 11:45

Squeeee at wriggling. When should I expect to feel that?

TriJo · 08/08/2017 11:49

Just with DS I felt flutters at 16 weeks, second time round I've just started feeling them and I'm only 13+1!
