Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 48th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 47th grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 61st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread <a class="break-all" href="//onwww.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/2588689-we-re-still-teething-trying-to-wean-and-our-babies-just-won-t-go-to-sleep-when-we-re-trying-to-js-for-another-one-it-s-just-mumming-no-11" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

If I don't take the tablets I'm in pieces so I've parked my doubts.

Good luck zyla got everything crossed.

TriJo · 02/08/2017 09:53

Just I never bothered bringing DH to booking in. It's just about a million questions and some blood tests. He did come to a couple of appointments later on when he had a few questions of his own though.

12 week scan on Friday, starting to get a bit nervous now!

justtheonethen · 02/08/2017 10:00

Eek tri how exciting. That's what I figured Smile

ZylaB · 02/08/2017 16:53

Scan all good! Heartbeat measuring 168bpm and I've moved forward a few days to 8+2 by today's measurement, though I think I'll stick without my dates of 7+6 until the 12 week scan smile
I'll probably be calm for maybe 2 days now?! 😂😂

TriJo · 02/08/2017 16:57

Yay Zyla, great news :)

justtheonethen · 02/08/2017 17:27

That's fantastic news zyla SmileStar

NovaArt3mis · 02/08/2017 17:33

Brilliant news zyla

Exciting tri, what time is scan?

I didn't take DH to booking in either.

At my 16w mw appt yesterday she said they were going to use my LMP to date the pregnancy even though the sonographer said I was measuring two days ahead. Makes no difference to me but I already told a few people (and work) the due date the lady at tge scan told me.

SofiePendragon · 02/08/2017 19:56

Fantastic news zyla

Glad you're feeling better Just. My Dh didn't come to my booking in appointment either. It is worth just checking with him if any diseases run in his family though, as they'll ask you about that.

Good luck for Friday Tri

Nova hope your headache's improving. I've had a bit of a headache this week too. I've got rhinitis and I think it's getting my sinuses as well. Paracetamol's been taking the edge off so have been sticking with that for now (last time I took codeine it completely knocked me out so I'm an bit wary of it now)

My midwife told me last time that they don't change your date at the scan anymore unless it's more than a week different. I think it depends on what area you're in / individual midwife preference though. I was measuring a few days further ahead at my 12 week scan than I was 2 weeks earlier, but they didn't change my due date, which suits me as I'd prefer the due date to be as late as possible.

justtheonethen · 02/08/2017 20:07

I've been looking at the forms for the appointment. What do they class as close family. E.g. Diabetes- my uncle and grandma do. Do they count as close family in medical terms?

SofiePendragon · 02/08/2017 20:19

Close family I would define as parents, siblings, grandparents, uncles, aunts. Probably not cousins if no one else affected, unless it was a genetic disease (such as cystic fibrosis) in which case it might be relevant. And if you had any children already obviously they'd be included.

I think with that family history of diabetes they'll want you to have a glucose tolerance test just. I have to have one because my dad had diabetes.

NovaArt3mis · 02/08/2017 20:23

Thanks sofie it's a bit better tonight. I still feel rotten though. Have been taking on too much overtime I think. Also have rhinitis and need to sleep with my head propped up, not fun.

just they'll definitely take note of them I think but not sure if they're 'close' enough for them to do GD test with you later on.

FuzzyOwl · 02/08/2017 20:29

Hope everyone is doing ok.

I've booked to see my GP tomorrow about pregnancy anxiety (with both DCs I had awful prenatal depression) but I'm currently coming up with all kinds of ways to justify cancelling because I hate speaking to doctors about this sort of thing. I'm not really sure why I am going because I don't know that I would actually feel happy going on any kind of anxiety meds or anti depressants anyway.

My EDD was changed by just one day after my dating scan last year so be interesting to see what they do this time, although I know it will be out by just over a week as this was a long WTF cycle.

justtheonethen · 02/08/2017 20:53

Thanks guys Smile

Er fuzzy get thee to the GP. Mental health is of major importance and if it takes pills to get you back on the right path then so be it. They won't give you anything that will hurt the baby and you need to be strong and well for your other children. I think you need to go.
Sorry for being bossy, I just don't think you should suffer. Flowers

SofiePendragon · 02/08/2017 21:05

fuzzy definitely speak to your GP. And if your GP isn't sympathetic speak to another one. Many, many women have taken antidepressants and anxiety meds during pregnancy, so your GP will be able to recommend something that is known to be safe.

TriJo · 02/08/2017 21:12

Nova 9am, which is ideal work wise! Going to drop DS to nursery then walk to the hospital.

Off for a week after Friday too - we have the inlaws over for the world athletics championships. BIL is writing for the IAAF and MIL and FIL have tickets with us. All going well on Friday we'll tell the inlaws this weekend and probably tell my parents over video chat.

Elbi · 03/08/2017 02:56

Fuzzy I hate speaking to docs about that stuff too but nine times out of ten they've been more sympathetic than I'd given them credit for. It's usually the anxiety talking that convinces me they'll think I'm wasting their time or whatever. For what it's worth, I'm bucking up the courage to speak to the midwife about it at my booking in appointment later, so if you do it I will!!

NovaArt3mis · 03/08/2017 05:39

Echoing everyone else fuzzy, definitely worth going. Sometimes I find writing some bullet points helps because as soon as I sit down I forget why on earth I was there or try to minimise it.

Good time indeed tri That's sounds like a fab week. I love athletics (in a watching capacity mind you!)

just do the clinic scan you again or is it just the 12 week one next?

justtheonethen · 03/08/2017 06:23

Nope that's it at the the clinic now, wish they could scan me daily. Scan is at 12+5 on 30th August which feels like forever away.

Woken up feeling really sick again Sad

TriJo · 03/08/2017 09:17

Nova My husband's family are absolutely fanatical about athletics - MIL is heavily involved in the administrative side with a local club, BIL ran cross-country and middle distance for Ireland up to under 23 and DH ran the 400m and 400m hurdles at uni but switched to longer distances afterwards. I'm an armchair fan of the sport but I've run four marathons and loads of shorter events. Will be squeezing in a Parkrun before the morning session on Saturday :)

TriJo · 03/08/2017 09:18

/hugs for just - this stage is rotten for the nausea! Mine's only really starting to lift now (12+3), still kicks in if I go too long without eating though.

justtheonethen · 03/08/2017 10:03

tri I'm in awe of your sportiness!

I can't cope with this. Unless I'm horizontal I'm gagging/throwing up. Sad

TriJo · 03/08/2017 10:05

Just I'm not feeling very sporty at the moment! This first trimester has absolutely kicked my arse tiredness and bleugh-ness wise and I haven't been able to work out as much as I would have liked to. Hopefully now things will get a bit better and I can do a few more workouts in the second trimester.

FuzzyOwl · 03/08/2017 11:07

I went and he was nice and supportive.

justtheonethen · 03/08/2017 11:36
Star
SofiePendragon · 03/08/2017 20:04

Well done fuzzy

Good luck tomorrow Tri

I've had a headache all day and had to come home a little early and go to bed. Now lying on the sofa, headache still there and have no energy. So fed up of feeling rubbish Sad
