Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 48th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 47th grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 61st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread <a class="break-all" href="//onwww.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/2588689-we-re-still-teething-trying-to-wean-and-our-babies-just-won-t-go-to-sleep-when-we-re-trying-to-js-for-another-one-it-s-just-mumming-no-11" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

nova edd is 5th February. The measurement today didn't quite fit with that (it has me as 3 days earlier) but the sonographer said to stick with the date I was given 2 weeks ago. Does make you wonder if the 12 week measurement is as accurate as they say though.

I specifically asked if she could see the nasal bone as I'd read that if it's not visible it can be a soft sign of downs. I don't think it's routinely looked for by the NHS so that's probably why it wasn't mentioned at your scan.

How long have you been waiting for your result? The nurse said to chase mine up if I didn't get it within 2 weeks, but that they'd probably phone within a day or two if there was an issue.

justtheonethen · 21/07/2017 16:12

Great news sofie Smile

NovaArt3mis · 21/07/2017 16:20

I wish I had asked :( the sonographer didn't express any concerns, I just enjoy getting myself worked up apparently. Scan was 7 days ago, I'm holding on to hope that no phone call in this week is a good sign.

FuzzyOwl · 21/07/2017 16:38

Great news @SofiePendragon

@Nova in my understanding you hear by phone within 48 hours (probably closer to 24) if you are high risk. If I was you, I would be feeling happily relaxed about the results after all this time - and I am a big worrier in pregnancy!

pretzelpieces · 21/07/2017 17:01

elbi Grin

just everything crossed for your scan on Monday, we'll all be rooting for you and minijust.

sofie hooray for a good scan!

Mine went fine. Massive relief! EDD 31st January. We got the Downs/Edward's and Patau's chance figures today, I had my blood test for them last week. They were both low thankfully. I didn't realise it was something they do differently in different areas.

pretzelpieces · 21/07/2017 17:02

Meant to say thanks for the good luck wishes everyone! Grin

justtheonethen · 21/07/2017 17:03

Brilliant news pretzel Smile

FuzzyOwl · 21/07/2017 17:20

Great news pretzel.

GX for Monday just.

SofiePendragon · 21/07/2017 17:24

Great news pretzel!

NovaArt3mis · 21/07/2017 17:33

Fab news pretzel

Yeah fuzzy I keep telling myself I would've heard by now if it was high risk surely, then a little bit of doubt creeps in. Must stay positive.

stumblymonkeyagain · 23/07/2017 21:54

My sleep bra and maternity bra turned up yesterday and I have to say they are making so much difference to my skittletits!

@justtheonethen...how are you fairing? Have you been able to find any relief?

I'm going to be lazy and re-post here what I just posted on the March antenatal club thread so apologies to those viroids that have to read it twice!

stumblymonkeyagain · 23/07/2017 21:55

I've just spoken to my DM on the phone to tell her about the pregnancy and also then about the chance it's not viable. Felt sad as I'd got a whole pregnancy announcement thing planned for a couple of weeks time when she was here face to face but I just needed to speak to my Mum tonight yes, even at 34, sometimes only Mum can make things okay

I feel better for having spoken to her. I was going to go into the office this week (almost four hour daily return commute) and she has convinced me to try to work from home and take it easy until my re-scan on Thursday.

My moods (I have bipolar) are being impacted by the combo of the scan news and preggo hormones so probably for the best!

FuzzyOwl · 23/07/2017 22:03

Thinking of you stumbly and, having had a mmc, I still had symptoms until I miscarried so the fact you still have them now really makes me hopeful you will get good news at your next scan.

Might it be worth giving your midwife a call tomorrow Nova? I'm certain you would know by now if you were high risk.

I'm doing my normal pregnancy worry again tonight. I absolutely hate the anxiety it brings me! I honestly think if I had symptoms that I wouldn't have this issue but I hardly ever do, or at least not meaningful enough ones to think that they could only be caused by pregnancy hormones increasing (because I also worry I get things like headaches etc because the levels are falling).

stumblymonkeyagain · 23/07/2017 22:21

I've been feeling quite low for 3 or 4 days now...DP has been awesome. Lots of cuddles and even bacon sandwiches and a cup of tea in bed this morning!

I think I'll actually feel better once I know the outcome...either way...it's the uncertainty that I'm finding the most difficult.

I am prepping myself for a bit of a rollercoaster moods wise though....I have previously had two terminations and both times I've been quite impacted by the pregnancy hormones and then the sharp change in hormones afterwards. Nothing so awful that I could work or whatever but it was a bumpy ride so expecting the same whether it's post-mc or post-birth.

That being said, at least I'm on meds now so that should help...

justtheonethen · 23/07/2017 22:31

Hi all.

stumbly a well fitting (massive) bra has helped hugely. Still fucking sore though!
I can't imagine how worried you must be, I have everything crossed for you. Absolutely right to tell your mum, sometimes only they will do. Look after yourself, now is definitely not the time for 4 hour commutes.

fuzzy I think it's all just a massive worry isn't it? Hopefully you are just going to breeze through with no symptoms Envy

I feel dreadful. My nausea had reached new heights and I now can't eat anything warm and barely anything cold. I have managed to eat a bit of cold jacket potato tonight which is miserable. I feel horrendous and have a cracking headache to add to the all day and night nausea Sad
I'm taking vitamin b6 which has stopped the all day throwing up (mainly in my mouth unexpectedly) but done nothing for the nausea.

Scan tomorrow, really nervous and freaking out a bit.

SofiePendragon · 23/07/2017 22:43

Good luck tomorrow just!

fuzzy I'm finding myself worrying over little things all the time. I think it might get better if I start to feel movements, but we'll see.

Stumbly I had an early miscarriage in February and found it much easier to deal with once the pregnancy tests negative and I knew it wasn't going to work out. Obviously I hope that you have a better outcome, but I sympathise with just wanting to know either way. Be kind to yourself - working from home is very reasonable right now.

Hope everyone else is ok. I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and arrange a meeting with my boss tomorrow. Wish me luck!

stumblymonkeyagain · 23/07/2017 22:53

Gx for your scan tomorrow Just!!! Is it morning or afternoon?

FuzzyOwl · 23/07/2017 22:59

Thanks just and Sofie.

Will be sending you loads of good vibes for tomorrow just and I hope the nausea eases very soon.

Good luck with your meeting tomorrow Sofie and I hope it all goes well.

NovaArt3mis · 24/07/2017 06:39

These huge bras sound like heaven, I really need to sort that out.

stumbly glad you've spoken to your mum and that DP is being supportive.

Gx for the scan just

Ooh good luck Sofie! I'm supposed to be negotiating a promotion this week which i feel so guilty about even though I know I deserve it and will be coming back full time but I'm getting so chunky so I hope it's sorted asap.

fuzzy I've calmed down and assumed they would've contacted me within a week if it was high risk. And they sent out my 20 week scan appt which I really hope they have a system in place to stop them sending it if there's potentially bad news but I doubt anyone's thought about how rubbish that would be for a pregnant woman.

I told my sister and another close friend who told me she is 6 weeks! Would be nice to have a maternity leave buddy.

TriJo · 24/07/2017 09:10

I've got one of those Nova! A friend of ours is 6 weeks ahead of me, due around New Year's. She lives quite close by too (15 minutes by bus).

justtheonethen · 24/07/2017 09:14

I want a pregnancy buddy .

Scan is at 2 and I'm feeling horribly anxious.

stumblymonkeyagain · 24/07/2017 09:20

We have all fingers and cat paws crossed at our house for you!

justtheonethen · 24/07/2017 09:21

That's really made me smile stumbly Grin

TriJo · 24/07/2017 09:36

/hugs for Just

Breathe. It will be fine :) Sending positive vibes your way!
