Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 48th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 47th grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 61st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread <a class="break-all" href="//onwww.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/2588689-we-re-still-teething-trying-to-wean-and-our-babies-just-won-t-go-to-sleep-when-we-re-trying-to-js-for-another-one-it-s-just-mumming-no-11" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Oh Scottish the temptation!!!
Hope scan was ok. Only 2+ weeks til my anomaly scan eeeek!

ZylaB · 31/01/2017 16:54

It's so quiet on here!

corgi88 · 31/01/2017 17:26

Aren't we boring zyla Grin I'm just sitting on my hands not to buy a Doppler. Definitely feeling wee flutters today though and stronger by the day so I am starting to feel better slightly
Omg h&m maternity pants! Best thing EVER!
How is everyone?

NameChange30 · 31/01/2017 18:31

Hi everyone! How are you all? Sorry for my long silence, the thread disappeared from my "Threads I'm On" and I've only just caught up.

I'm 36 weeks now Shock Shock I have no idea how that happened! It's my last week at work and I'm SO ready to finish. Quite a bit still to prepare - eek...

MyBlackCat · 01/02/2017 10:14

Get preparing name I popped at 36 weeks - only got one day of maternity leave Shock

ZylaB · 01/02/2017 12:52

Scan all good! Little heartbeat :). They've put me at 5+6 today and I thought I was 6+3, but I'm expecting to get a couple of days back when I go for another scan in 3 weeks, which the lovely obstetrician booked me in for just to reassure me because of mc last time :)

5hell · 01/02/2017 21:23

Just sneaking back in to say hey viroids...finally got my arse in gear and reset my mn pw (definitely not rejoining you with #2 or anything like that - dh would have a heart attack!)

Chubs is 10months and FINALLY sleep is getting better - this will clearly jinx it, but we've had 4 nights of v minimal waking and no/only one feed! 😲

Going back to work in 3 weeks...just as I'm beginning to feel I nearly know what I'm doing and enjoying him more; typical.

Right, off to do some reading back & catching up.

ChatEnOeuf · 01/02/2017 21:50

Yay Zyla!!!!

Agree, Name - 37 and 36w here, get thee organised!

corgi88 · 01/02/2017 22:15

Oh zyla hurray! Great news.
Hi 5hell!

Good grief I thought first babies were always late... What a hopelessly naive woman I am! I would be gutted not to get any mat leave though I'm sure going overdue is annoying too. But yes name pack - my friend's baby made a surprise appearance at 35w eek!
Thiiink I'm getting a fair few more movements lately which is nice Smile
Scottish was your scan ok and less thumb in cave-y?

NameChange30 · 01/02/2017 22:38

Zyla Yay! Smile

Black, Chat, corgi
Argh you're all right aren't you?! Need to buy things to put in hospital bag before I can pack it! Also must do my hypnobirthing exercises and perineal massage.
In my defence I do at least have a car seat and a SnuzPod and a birth plan. The pushchair and cot bed are still in their boxes unassembled.

I'll get on the case this weekend! Just need baby to stay put for at least another week please!

Pisghetti · 02/02/2017 16:23

Oops fell off the Fred.

That's fantastic news Zyla!!

I packed my bag at 36 weeks with my first. It sat there taunting me for 6 weeks Hmm it's good to be prepared as you just never know but first babies are more often late than early....

ChatEnOeuf · 02/02/2017 20:36

You don't need a birth plan or a pushchair - you need nappies, baby clothes, maternity pads and granny pants Grin

NameChange30 · 02/02/2017 22:10

Help me out here, I was consoling myself with the thought that I have prepared a few things and now you're telling me I don't need them Grin

I have been banking on the likelihood that first babies are often born after the due date! I've also been seeing an osteopath for my PGP who said that he can usually tell when the relaxin has kicked in (because the body becomes much more flexible) which is usually 3-4 weeks before birth. Saw him two weeks ago and he didn't think it had, saw him again today and he said things are going in the right direction but he doesn't think the birth is imminent. We shall see if he's right but for now his guess is the best I have!

Anyway, nappies, maternity pads and granny pants are all top of my shopping list! We have loads of clothes already (mostly gifts) but I want to make sure we have a full set of what we'll need in newborn and 0-3. Just need to review the stash and buy the rest!

SockQueen · 02/02/2017 23:15

See if you can find an NCT sale near you - we got loads from them. Also bought random bundles of newborn clothes off ebay, but I'm very unfussy about what he wears so appreciate others might not like the pot luck approach!

If you're planning on breastfeeding, get breast pads and Lansinoh cream.

5hell · 03/02/2017 16:08

name full disposable incontinence pants are my top tip for hospital bag / few days post birth... Comfy, extra padding for your sore parts & less worry about leaks etc. ..oh and really glamorous too ;)

Tinkfromlovejoy · 03/02/2017 17:45

Hello viroids! Was just having a quick lurk stalk and thought I'd say hi, and send luck and love to you all.
We are working through stage one of the adoption process currently, it's all going very smoothly so far. Still shagging of course, just avoiding fertile week these days Grin
Not sure who is pg and who is waiting to be anymore, nice to see so many old faces though.
Hopefully I'll join some of you on the mumming thread before too long Wink

NameChange30 · 03/02/2017 18:19

Sock and 5hell Thank you for the tips!

Tink Hello! That's exciting news, hope it continues to go smoothly and you'll be able to adopt very soon Smile

Nessalina · 03/02/2017 20:21

Hey viroids! At just 3 weeks 5 days I'm poking my head round the corner to say hi!
Lovely to see so many familiar faces on the fred - and some imminent babies!
I'm currently sat on a beanbag is DS's room whilst he has a moan about not being allowed to stay up and party on a Friday night Confused He's two. It's bedtime!!!!

Nessalina · 04/02/2017 19:00

a tumbleweed blows slowly through the thread... Confused

NameChange30 · 04/02/2017 21:01

Ah sorry Nessalina it can be quiet on here sometimes! Hello and congratulations on your BFP Smile Will this be DC2?

Nessalina · 04/02/2017 22:55

It will indeed! First JSing baby was two in November. Quite scary how quickly you forget all the pregnancy 'Do's and 'don't's. I'm very sad about all the alcohol in my house right now that won't get drunk!
Super excited about going through the newborn rollercoaster again... trying not to get ahead of myself though. Twelve weeks is FOREVER Shock

Nessalina · 04/02/2017 22:56

When are you due Name? Smile Is it your first?

NameChange30 · 04/02/2017 23:12

I'm due on 27th February, just finished work, and yes it's my first! A boy. DH and I have close friends and siblings with young babies so we have some idea of what we're letting ourselves in for, although I don't think we'll truly get our heads around it until baby arrives!

I remember the 4-12 week stage feeling TORTUROUSLY slow. (Since then the time has gone insanely fast!) Hang on in there!

Oh and I'm starting to get very excited about being able to drink alcohol again Grin

ChatEnOeuf · 05/02/2017 10:24

Great to hear the first stage is going smoothly, Tink. Feel free to loiter here and talk about that, piles and swamp foof Wink

Welcome Ness!
