Congratulations tea! Fantastic news ;)

Pumpkins are well and truly picked, including one for the baby in case he arrives before hallowe'en (please lord!!!)

Have managed to stay awake thins long bouncing on the exercise ball but now giving in & going to bed.

Afreshstartplease · 23/10/2016 21:52

I think they say more labours start overnight, 3/4 of mine did, used to remind myself of this each bedtime!

Redken24 · 24/10/2016 06:11

Congrats Tea :)

Any others over the weekend? I have resigned myself to either halloween baby or bonfire night baby..

LillianFullStop · 24/10/2016 06:18

Woke up to some mild contractions this morning about 5am... could be more stop start business so staying in bed trying and failing to get back to sleep...

either way I have my sweep today!

Redken24 · 24/10/2016 06:23

good luck for the sweep - it really wasnt bad! Maybe it is supposed to be? i dont know.

Hopefully one of us will have a baby soon Lillian :)

how did u sleep? i had some weird weird dreams

LillianFullStop · 24/10/2016 07:30

I hope so redken! Put one of us out of our misery!

I had weird nightmares last week DH had to wake me from it Confused. Slept ok last night thankfully - had some mild contractions about 1am again but mild enough to sleep through - maybe my tolerance is getting better!

Woke up absolutely starving - my body must have been working away last night.

positivity123 · 24/10/2016 08:09

I had a little girl at 7.04am yesterday morning! I started contracting on Saturday at about 7am when I was +10 days. We went for a few walks to keep the contractions going as they stayed 12 mins apart all day. They got more intense from 9pm. Went to hospital at 3am when they were every 5mins and I was at 5cm but I was feeling it in my bottom so I got.into.the pool straight away and she was born quickly. Got home last night.
She's knackered so she's slept a lot and I've had to wake her up to feed. I'm so happy.
Best of luck everyone else!

Wow congrats positivity!!!!

Nickname1980 · 24/10/2016 08:46

Had contractions all night 7 mins apart... then went back to sleep and woke up this morning with nothing!

What's that about?!

They were definitely contractions and not braxton hicks. Anyone else had that? I'm exhausted now.

Nickname1980 · 24/10/2016 08:47

Congrualtions positivity!

Afreshstartplease · 24/10/2016 09:09

Nickname I was doing similar for days! Had a sweep and was 2cm, was in full blown labour 12 hours later!

Afreshstartplease · 24/10/2016 09:10

Congratulations positivity!

derryjojo · 24/10/2016 09:25

Congratulations positively

Nickname1980 · 24/10/2016 09:28

That's made me want to just try that sweep after all even more, fresh!

LillianFullStop · 24/10/2016 09:53

Nickname that's been me too almost every night the last 2 weeks... Sat night was the worst - more pain and went on for longer!

Hoping my sweep today kicks things off like it did for fresh!

Afreshstartplease · 24/10/2016 09:53

I would. What have you got to loose! TBH if you can't handle a sweep your pretty screwed for labour .... try and see it as a practice ?

LillianFullStop · 24/10/2016 15:02

I'm still only 1cm dilated... Confused

At least they managed to do a sweep this time. Walking around in case it helps some.

Redken24 · 24/10/2016 15:43

Hey! glad you got on ok. :)
is your cervix effaced? haha - Have an awful habit of reading my notes after my appointment.
Are they going to do another this week?
You never know Lillian - it could be you tonight

Nickname1980 · 24/10/2016 16:16

Head wasn't engaged enough for a sweep! Gah! Sad

Oh well, I'm just going to keep bouncing on the ball and going for long walks! I'm almost 41 weeks now, don't really want to be induced.

Good luck lillian!

Afreshstartplease · 24/10/2016 16:34

Fingers crossed for you tonight Lillian!

Nickname when will they induce you?

Redken24 · 24/10/2016 21:10

my pal was induced successfully - but a lot of people on here seem to be against them , is there a reason why?
Nickname - Lillian - hope someone goes x

Nickname1980 · 24/10/2016 21:35

redken, I was induced with my last. I'd avoid it again if I could, but it wasn't that bad. It's just that the labour comes on a bit faster and a bit stronger. It's all I've known, so can't really compare it!

fresh I can go to 42 weeks but have the option at 41. I'm going to see how far I get until I'm well and truly fed up! Haha!

Redken24 · 24/10/2016 22:30

Well, im not holding out any hope here.. Wishing for foresight haha - I have a horribly sore gum tonight, not had any bother with my teeth last 40 weeks and now my front two are agony!! is this normal??
