Congratulations Fraggle, Tallblue and Fresh!

Tallblue am I right in thinking we both had the same due date, which was today? We both ended up with early babies!

Hope everyone else sees some movement soon.

41 weeks today and I'm starting to worry about the induction which I shouldn't. I am still feeling the baby move a lot but no cramps. I did the garden yesterday and walked about lots so I'm doing everything I can. Luckily I'm not aching or anything so I'm still really mobile I'm just increasingly pissed off!!! Also I'm bored. When DH comes back from work I have nothing to talk about.
Hope you are all OK

I'm with you positivity... I'm still only 39+3 so quite a bit behind you but my obsessive googling has changed from ...childbirth experiences... to ...signs of labour... to ...slow stop start latent phase labour... and now to ....induction stories.... feels like it's going downhill!!!

Doesn't help that my next appointment at 40+1 is a second attempt at a sweep and a discussion about booking an induction date. Goes to show how confident they are of me going into spontaneous labour anytime soon.... ##%#$@!!!!!! Bloody half a cm!!!!

Still trying to do everything I can^^ though - planning another walk today and have ordered a bouncing ball online... ConfusedConfused is there an oxymoron for being positive and negative at the same time? something like the word bittersweet?

I've not heard good things about inductions... from increased pain and longer labour - followed by things not progressing anyway after all that ... so they try and fail with a forceps and episiotomy so you end up with a EMCS. Sorry that is my nightmare birth scenario (obviously all things being well with the baby)... imagine having to go through and recover from a worst case vaginal delivery (instrumental plus episiotomy) and also recover from a c section. I should have just gone for an ELCS and be done with it!!!

So sorry for the panicked rant and to bring the tone down but I think I'm starting to lose my shit now!! Must re-read my birth books to re-iterate the importance of staying calm and relaxed... ConfusedConfused

must. release. oxytocin....

NovemberInDailyFailLand · 19/10/2016 10:01

Yay, well done Fresh! I think we had almost the same due date/week as well.

How is everyone getting by? I've been a bit weepy but definitely very happy with baby november! He's currently asleep on me.

Afreshstartplease · 19/10/2016 11:39

Thanks! I was due today.

Baby is good. I am feeling a bit achey and bruised. No hormonal mess yet though. I've only had that once when I had my dd and day 4 to about 7 I was a sobbing mess! Hopefully miss that this time.

Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting

Figgygal · 19/10/2016 13:17

Completely missed we have a new thread!!! Lovely to find you all ladies!! Sorry done are still frustrated it will happen ......it will!!

A midwife turned up this morning for our discharge from hospital appointment which should have happened yesterday but no one turned up. Never met her before she was horrible really abrupt and just didn't have a good manner about her at all. Miss my normal one she was lovely and clear!!

Ds had put back on 75grms so weight loss back down to 8% need to keep up with top ups and feeding directly/expressing. Taking him for his heel prick test tomorrow first trip out!!!

derryjojo · 19/10/2016 15:48

I feel so behind everyone. 38+4 today.

ThinkOfAWittyNameLater · 19/10/2016 15:59

You're ahead of me - I'm 38 + 3
Fed up but at least some of my energy is returning. I went on a mad Christmas present online shopping spree earlier. I'm not sure we can afford for this baby to stay I much longer haha

positivity123 · 19/10/2016 19:56

lillian I know what you mean but I've also read loads of good induction stories so I'm trying to stay balanced but I really want to avoid one. I've done 2 long walks today so done 5.5 miles, bounced on my ball and had a spicy pizza.and about to watch bake off which will make me feel relaxed. I'm doing everything right but still no baby. I honestly feel like it will never come

Positivity I'm feeling better now - walked for about 4 miles today and on my bouncing ball now as well.

Just woke up this morning after another night of not going into labour and I lost it!

Can you post some links to those positive induction stories please?

Redken24 · 19/10/2016 21:56

Another day, another no show - just wishing for some kind of sign! We must all be on our balls tonight

Nickname1980 · 19/10/2016 22:18

I thought the old thread had gone quiet!!

Congratulations fresh!

lilian, I was induced before. Honestly, it wasn't so bad. No other interventions though did have an epidural. It was about a 12 hour labour and all healthy and fine in the end. To be honest, the epidural bothered me more as it meant I couldn't move! Did block the pain though Smile. I like the idea of "mobile epidurals"!

I've been having lots of lower back pain and stabbing in front, can definitely feel the baby's head is low. I'm starting to get seriously nervous. So nervous! I don't know why! I wasn't last time!

Redken24 · 20/10/2016 05:26

Awake early today - how is everyone?

Dizzy08 · 20/10/2016 07:15

Just found the new thread. Baby born early 4.40am yesterday 19th (11 days overdue) after starting with solid contractions at 6pm on the 17th
Went into the hospital at 5cm dilated on the morning of the 18th.. but only progressed 1cm by 9pm before had to have waters broken and then calling for the epidural. I was exhausted

Baby doing well now though and he is gorgeous. So all worth it.

Good luck to everyone still waiting.. I recommend the RLT if your overdue!

Afreshstartplease · 20/10/2016 08:52

Well done Dizzy Flowers

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 20/10/2016 09:37

Congrats dizzy.

I've been awake since 3, contractions now every 8 minutes and about a minute long. Bouncing on the ball to try to get them closer together - hoping to be having newborn snuggles by the end of the day!

ThinkOfAWittyNameLater · 20/10/2016 09:40

Congratulations Dizzy!

38+4 and had a really good sleep last night - only got up once. Baby has moved right down though, making everything quite uncomfortable. No sign of anything happening soon :(

LillianFullStop · 20/10/2016 09:44

Congrats dizzy!!! Enjoy your lovely baby boy!

Good signs schnitzel!

Thanks nickname I should stop reading horror stories I know being relaxed and positive counts for a lot!

Redken been having on and off contractions - nothing this morning so will get on the ball again and planning on another long walk today if the weather holds up. Otherwise might head into town and walk around the shops under cover!

Redken24 · 20/10/2016 09:47

Dizzy - Congrats! :)

Lillian - I cant walk for long, get a painful stitch which i definitely cannot walk through. I bounce on this damn ball feel some twinges then Jeff all happens. Anything else to try? I fell asleep on the couch this morning and woke up again :)

derryjojo · 20/10/2016 10:17

Congrats Dizzy

Its looking good Schnitzel.

38+5 today. Baby's head is 4/5 engaged but still have a completely closed cervix.

I can't take RLT because of the bleeding I've had. Anyone any other tips to get things moving?

Redken24 · 20/10/2016 10:24

i dont think i could stomach the tea - hoping some for tips derry

LillianFullStop · 20/10/2016 10:30

Redken I think they sell Raspberry Leaf tablets? I've yet to find some though I only ever see the tea!

39+4 and I am SO READY for this baby to come! Lots of backside pressure today. And sorry if TMI! - kind of solid (ish) discharge. May just be old blood from when I had my internal exam though.

Afreshstartplease · 20/10/2016 10:36

Fingers crossed for all those showing signs!

derryjojo · 20/10/2016 10:55

Fresh any tips?

Lillian is the discharge any particular colour. I thought my show had gone the other day, turns out it was just old blood and new blood from the internal.

Red I think we will just have to use the ball in the mean time.
