Don't think I'll be consultant led last time as my only issue was slipped discs and that was sorted and was able to have an epidural fine so won't ask this time I don't think!

Hope everyone has had a lovely day-it's so hard to keep up at the moment but will try and make more of an effort!

My dating scan is going to be the beginning of next month-how Christmassy!!

MoonlightMojitos · 02/11/2016 18:22

Sorry to those feeling rough. Glad you're feeling better six!!

vegan hope everything is ok now?

oliver telling people or not will have no impact on the outcome. And if anything did happen would you tell her anyway? I personally wouldn't do it, especially bearing in mind you might go over due and actually not had the baby yet or only a few days before! I really don't think you would enjoy it that soon after giving birth, would be very hard work.

Had my 12 week scan through today for 25th so 3 weeks Friday! Very quick coming through as booking was only Monday!

Sixisthemagicnumber · 02/11/2016 18:27

mumofthree the injections are for those with 2 or more small risk factors of thrombosis or 1 major risk factor. For me the 2 risk factors are - being over 35 years old and having had 2 or more previous pregnancies. I believe other risk factors include c section (major risk factor), smoker, known history of clots. There must be others but I don't know what they are. I will have to wear those very attractive DVT socks as well as having the injections. They were going to give me a course of the injections after I had dc3 but I was bang on 35 years old so the midwife said "oh well you aren't OVER 35 so I think we can give it a miss". Don't think I will be so lucky this time as I am definitely over 35 this time and it is dc4.

Sixisthemagicnumber · 02/11/2016 18:30

Oh and to add mumofthree the first thing i knew about the injections last time was 2 hours after I has given birth. Nobody had mentioned anything before then.

Blueskyrain · 02/11/2016 18:39

Hmnn, am I unusual in that I've had no discharge, no bleeding, I don't even need to pee more?

Feeling sick as a dog though. No throwing up, but constantly feel like I want to. I know I should count myself lucky really, but I'm curled up in a duvet nest on the sofa feeling a bit meh.

Just under 7 weeks.

Walkerbean16 · 02/11/2016 19:04

Feeling very annoyed today, I bought some over the bump maternity jeans yesterday from h and m as the under the bump ones fall down all the time and these ones fit on my legs but are way too tight on my stomach already! I'm only 9.6 but seem to have a bump already, but different from last time, I didn't know I was pregnant until 17 weeks and didn't show until weeks later! So now I have wasted £50 on two useless pairs of jeans Sad

Walkerbean16 · 02/11/2016 19:04
  • a bit different
NappingRabbit · 02/11/2016 19:18

I didn't ask anyone to move on the train but I thought about doing so all the way there. Figure I'll save asking for when I'm really desperate to sit.

oliver I would not be going to a hen do 2 weeks postpartum, and I felt remarkably good after my last birth. It's more not wanting to be separated from baby and if I took him/her along stressing that it was altering the mood etc. I don't see the need to tell her until you've had your scan if you don't want to - I'm sure she will understand!

bluesky I don't think anything is abnormal when it comes to pregnancy. People seem to get hit by symptoms at random. Feeling tired and meh sounds about right to me!

walker v annoying about the jeans - can you return/sell on eBay?

Skee · 02/11/2016 19:33

Hahaha! Very funny post Hermano! Aye, I'm pretty damp downstairs too 😂

I'm fairly similar Bluesky, my main symptoms have been really (really!) sore boobs and horrific nausea. I haven't really suffered with mood swings, heavy tiredness or much of a need to pee more than usual? I suspect that's because I'm definitely not drinking enough though...

On that note, anyone else's pee a funny colour?! I'm putting down to the vitamins I'm taking..? But it seems to be varying shades of luminous yellow Blush even when I have been drinking plenty?!

Sorry for the tmi!

MumofthreeandBean · 02/11/2016 19:59

skee yes my wee is very dark yellow but I'm drinking lots!

Skee · 02/11/2016 20:03

Phew! Thanks for that Mumofthree! Glad it's not just me!

MrsPotatoHead80 · 02/11/2016 20:21

I remember those DVT stockings from last time Six...you can't help but feel like a supermodel in those, can you?!? Grin

oliversmummy26 · 02/11/2016 20:58

So glad to have found you ladies, hilarious!!

My injections were because I had a section, and no one told me about that either. But there is so much no one tells you about pregnancy and birth, seems it's all a big secret but when it's all over no one can stop talking about it all!!

I think I'll probably have to skip the hen do, I'll organise something special for my sister before baby comes. I should t be late though as am going to push for a section (to avoid another big baby, induction and being in hospital for over 3 days before baby born!). She'll understand I'm sure..

Yes, my pee is a different colour every time, and the amount I'm going to the loo I'm amazed there are that many shades of luminescent yellow!!

haveacupoftea · 02/11/2016 21:13

TMI question...i've got a wee bit of white dried stuff around my nipples when i take my bra off..looks like a wee bit of discharge has been coming out and then dried? Normal???

YY to increased discharge! I STILL check to make sure it isn't a bleed!

Dragon5000 · 02/11/2016 21:22

Itchy nipples.
As you were
10 weeks

haveacupoftea · 02/11/2016 22:34

Dragon i could tear my nipples off some days.

I just sneezed and pulled something in my belly Hmm a muscle i think Confused

Monkeyandthebear · 02/11/2016 22:46

On the nipple front, you could hang your coat on mine. That's what made me think I might be pregnant. They are so sticky out and sore.

Does anyone else have trouble sleeping? When not pregnant I was a solid 7 hour sleep, closed my eyes and slept through until the alarm, but now I am rubbish at sleeping. Not getting up to pee or anything, just really restless sleep. Surely with so few symptoms I should be able to sleep?!

MoonlightMojitos · 03/11/2016 03:18

monkey I'm the same! As you might guess, awake at 3am lol. I used to be such a heavy sleeper and it's a joke how much I sleep. But now, I wake up about 20 times in the night! Too hot, too cold, need to wee, uncomfortable, sometimes I don't even know why...

We nearly need a new thread again!

MumofthreeandBean · 03/11/2016 06:52

monkey & moonlight
I was awake at 4, no reason just woke up, decided to have a wee as I was awake, then dh started snoring!! I am still lying here, thinking I might need a nap this afternoon!!

My nipples were erect for weeks, not now, well on and off. They are filling up and I can't wear my normal bras. Got soft Ines from jojomaman Bebe - so comfy but no shape!! Ordered 2 lightly padded Ines from next last night, I darent wear these soft ones without a big jumper as I look like a boy with socks down my top!!

10.1 - scan on 22nd, desperate to see what's going on and it's taking forever!!!!

Mommytobe2017 · 03/11/2016 06:54

I've been sleeping more (?!) I didn't think that was possible! I've been on and off sleeping since about 8pm last night.

I guess it's kind of good that I have an active job. I was falling to sleep in front of the TV anyway but now I'm worse!

Felt kind of normal yesterday, no hunger, no pains, no feeling sick. This morning I woke mega early with some cramping.

I haven't been going to the loo in the night either Hmm I normally always go even when not pregnant

Still wondering if bean is still in there...

Mommytobe2017 · 03/11/2016 06:57

OH and yes you can still get red & black fruit pastilles!! I have the normal ones though Grin

Hermano · 03/11/2016 07:42

My symptoms (minor though they were) disappeared a couple of days ago so I'm totally paranoid this isn't continuing.
Still got discharge and yes some nipple white stuff going on. Totally unimpressed as pant and bra discharge do not get me sympathy and dinner cooked / salt n vinegar crisps hand fed to me in the same way that nausea and extreme tiredness did Sad

Dragon5000 · 03/11/2016 07:52

I can't go back to sleep, dh thought he'd try it on at 445 and woke me up. Just as well he's as work tonight cos he's in the dog house big time!
Someone i know announced they were 13 weeks pregnant and know the sex, how is that possible?

HazyHazyJeans · 03/11/2016 07:59

Morning everyone

I'm going to bed super early every night as I just don't want to feel sick anymore. At least when I'm asleep, I don't feel sick! Plus I didn't seem to be extra tired.

dragon I think you can find out very early if you get the harmony test.

Who all plans to find out here? We will. We found out with DD so will do it again Grin

HazyHazyJeans · 03/11/2016 08:00

*plus I DO seem to be extra tired
