I haven't tried bio oil mumofthree but I did use cocoa butter for stretch marks in my last pregnancy and it prevented any new stretch marks and don't affect my very sensitive skin. I'm not sure if it was the cocoa butter that prevented new stretch marks or the fact that there was no room for new stretch marks after my first two pregnancies 😩. I think if your skin is prone to stretch marks you will get them regardless of any lotions but the lotions are good at reducing the redness on them afterwards.

Hi I've been lurking on the last thread ... I think I'm 5+1 or around that. I had an early miscarriage back in June so have been a little more hesitant to join the thread this time round. But so far all is well.

I've just looked at the link for the spreadsheet. I think the one on this thread is a read only. The one from that last thread can be updated on my pc: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mdxF2QcjcXobnuxXwd8uqYfq0_wE26F6rDcRAxAecxQ/edit?usp=sharing

Sundaygal · 18/10/2016 10:48

Hmm link fail ... lets try again

Spreadsheet

LilyCat43 · 18/10/2016 10:52

Had really achey legs yesterday and this morning like I'd done a spin class or something (I haven't) is this normal... or just random??

Hello ladies good idea to do another thread, the last one was getting so long. I have my early scan on thurs, feeling so nervous and terrified that something will be wrong. 7 weeks today and still wouldn't really say I feel different. Very slight nauseous feeling when I get hungry but no sore boobs, sickness or tiredness. Which is great of course but does mean I am preparing myself for the worst at the scan on thurs... don't you think time is passing so slowly, I have never counted each day like I have the last seven weeks!

Mommytobe2017 · 18/10/2016 10:55

I am absolutely ravenous today.

I was expecting the nausea to kick in today.
None so far Grin

Good to see a second thread in action.

I will add myself to the spreadsheet once I have my scan, I previously mc at 11 weeks following a scan with heartbeat so will feel better once I get there. I am sure though that was down to catching hand, foot and mouth at 9 weeks.

I have eaten constantly for two days, it seems to be keeping the nausea at bay but I will be the size of a house if it continues! I have bought some bio oil but haven't used it yet. Will do though as we are going away for Christmas and I will be a sight in a bikini stretch marks or no stretch marks!

VeganMama83 · 18/10/2016 11:24

Pretty sure I read stretch marks are hereditary and you will either get them or not. Creams won't make any difference. xx

VeganMama83 · 18/10/2016 11:37

www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/stretch-marks-pregnant.aspx

Also read some bits about genetics playing a part x

PurpleHaze1 · 18/10/2016 11:42

I couldn't update the spreadsheet on the previous link but the one Sundaygal has linked to works. Might be worth trying for anyone else who couldn't update it earlier. Thanks Sundaygal!

I was going to say the same as Veganmama I'm not convinced there's much you can do about stretch marks. I was very very lucky and didn't get any with DD and I used no creams etc. Hopefully I'll be as lucky this time!

I'm still feeling fine and trying to not let it worry me. I'm quite far at the back of the bus so plenty of time for symptoms to kick in...

Hope those of you suffering sickness etc have better days today Smile

Mummy2squish · 18/10/2016 11:49

Marking my place!

No symptoms today but I had to carry two babies downstairs today (3 flights) at work and my stomach as been a bit sore since :( don't want to tell them yet!

DizzyNorthernBird · 18/10/2016 12:07

Thanks skee!

moose how funny is that having the same stats! Im in Aylesbury so not too far from you probably totally outing myself there lol.

lily my calves are sore for some reason, not sure why as I do a lot of running so rarely get sore calves....no idea if this is a symptom or not?

Ugh stretch marks....I got them all over the tops of my thighs and on my boobs during puberty so looks like that's me doomed then!

I've just done a body pump class, sweated buckets which isn't like me at all. Plus it was really hard work, although body pump is always tough isn't it!

Mummy2squish · 18/10/2016 12:19

I've got beautiful stretch marks from my first. I went to see my doc about something unrelated and he said wow you have got a lot of stretch marks! Ummm thanks?! BlushBlush

MumofthreeandBean · 18/10/2016 12:32

I don't mind the stretch marks I have, I mean they do fade a lot, I think I'm just in shock that they have sppereared so early - I might get some bio oil or cocoa butter anyway - will make me feel better

Purplefairy21 · 18/10/2016 12:34

Did write a post this morning but it's not posted. Something along the lines of morning all and hope everyone isn't feeling too grim. Im covered in stretch marks which still split sometimes but I was tiny when pg with ds and he was 8lb and then some and I had HH boobs as well so something had to give Grin Blush
I'm currently fantasising about food that tastes the way it's supposed to and actually stays down too. Roll on second trimester with less sickness and nausea. Should rename the thread down with the sickness or something Grin I don't even know if it's possible to rename a thread lol

NappingRabbit · 18/10/2016 12:55

Feeling particularly queasy this morning. I'm having lunch with a colleague and I so need to eat NOW but have to wait for her to come and find me. All I have in my handbag is box after box of raisins (emergency bribes for DS) which I do not fancy one bit. Hurry up lunch!

Re stretch marks, I have also read that creams and oils make no difference, it all comes down to genes and susceptibility. That didn't stop me plastering myself in bio oil last time, just in case Grin (I didn't get any, for what it's worth).

I have had some quite strong cramping over the weekend which worried me a bit - at one point I was convinced there was going to be blood when I checked, but thankfully all was ok. I'm taking DS for a hosp appointment in the morning and may swing by the EPU while I'm there to see if they will double check and reassure me. I was a regular there last time with constant bleeds and they were wonderful. It's a walk in, self-referral clinic - you just sit and wait your turn. I'm so grateful to have this kind of set up, I know many will only see you with a formal referral, and only in quite drastic circumstances.

haveacupoftea · 18/10/2016 12:56

Hey everyone!

I am feeling good today, all of my symptoms have disappeared practically, still up at 5am for a pee and feeling tired, but boobs aren't nearly as sore and i'm not feeling sick anymore.

I am not sure whether to be devastated or delighted Confused

haveacupoftea · 18/10/2016 12:57

whoops, 7+4

Myusername2015 · 18/10/2016 13:01

If anyone could add me I'll be very grateful! Tentatively due 10th June; 1st baby; aged 33 and living in Northampton. No symptoms as yet!

peaceloveandbiscuits · 18/10/2016 13:09

Sozzles for the link fuck up. It was very early.

This thread moves too fast! Thanks for new one peace

mum of three I used bio oil after an op last year on the scars and I don't think it's made the blind bit of difference tbh so probably won't bother using it. Used from 6 weeks after the op too once they said it was safe.

Went to bed so early last night with that blinding headache. Still there today but not as bad, hoping it's not a hormonal thing that's going to stick around now :(. Really can't be dealing with it on top of the nausea.

tea hope you're OK hun, are you worried? It's normal for them to come and go a bit isn't it and be worse some days than others. Sometimes I'm convinced my sickness has gone but a few hours later it comes back with a vengeance.

Sixisthemagicnumber · 18/10/2016 13:16

I'm bleeding - pinky coloured rather than bright red but I'm still trying hard not to panic. I can't even ring DH to have him calm me down as ds age 13 is here and we haven't told him I'm pregnant yet so I do t want him to overhear anything😟

LilyCat43 · 18/10/2016 13:23

What's all this about a spreadsheet.... is this something I should be joking in with. I'm very VERY new to everything!! Smile

LilyCat43 · 18/10/2016 13:27

Six sorry to hear this - is there perhaps a doctor or midwife you could phone for advice/reassurance? I'm not sure of your stats etc.... as I've said before I'm very new so I really don't have much experience.

Fingers crossed everything turns out ok for you Xx

MumofthreeandBean · 18/10/2016 13:35

Six go into the garden and ring - please don't sit and worry xxx
