My wisdom tooth decided to give me pain yesterday so today I'm in a lot of pain from that. Took paracetamol but forgot to put bonjela on this morning Sad

At least it's taking my mind off feeling icky.

Got a massive bag of fruit pastilles Grin

furry I have IBS so yes diahorrea is a frequent issue for me.
Previous pregnancies pre IBS I also had dodgy tummy early on, also late stages of pregnancy.
Keep hydrated xx take care, if worried talk to your midwife/dr.

mommy I'm addicted to maoams and starburst!!! Problem is they don't like me!!

Been working non stop today, guessing I will burn myself out before dinner!

HazyHazyJeans · 02/11/2016 15:23

furry I had really bad diarrhoea on Sunday Shock It only lasted one day and I've been fine since. I am quite prone to a dodgy tummy though so it may not have been pregnancy related.

mumofthree you've just reminded me that I bought jelly to make. I'm really craving fruity sweets at the moment too Grin

I've really felt the tiredness hit in the past few days. I've been WFH this afternoon and had to really fight the urge to go for a nap!

I also have ibs, so plenty of diarrhea here! Blush its worse now im pregnant, apparently it's all the hormones rushing around.

Sixisthemagicnumber · 02/11/2016 15:54

After a couple of weeks of barely being able to eat and losing 4lb, today I have eaten 3 mince pies and half a tube of Pringles 😳

NappingRabbit · 02/11/2016 16:02

Ooh Fruit Pastilles... I haven't had them for ages but quite fancy some now. Can you still get packs of just red and black ones?

I am struggling with work this week. I just don't have the energy or motivation at all. I'm being naughty at the moment and hiding out in the 'quiet room'. I only discovered it when I needed to express milk when I returned to work earlier this year and it is awesome. Big comfy sofa in a lockable room for when you need a moment to yourself. I'm giving myself a half hour time out before powering through to the end of the day.

I'm sure I remember 8 weeks being the hardest bit last time. I just feel so exhausted all the time. Thankfully nausea hasn't been as bad today as it was yesterday, but even a baby on board badge didn't get me a bloody seat on my very crowded train this morning.

Six I now cannot stop thinking about Pringles!!!

Is anyone else in the 35+ bracket getting really freaked out reading about all the trisomy tests, chances of miscarriages etc? I was 26 when I was last preggers and despite us having issues getting there once I was I sailed through blissfully unaware of all of the stuff we seem to have to contend with this time. It's dulling my happiness at finally being pregnant again Sad

MrsPotatoHead80 · 02/11/2016 16:28

Sucks about the train Napping. Did you ask anyone to move?

VeganMama83 · 02/11/2016 16:37

FFS bit of blood when I just went to the loo and wiped! Was praying I wouldn't get any this time. Booking in appt tomorrow so will mention it to MW.

oliversmummy26 · 02/11/2016 16:42

So my sister has just asked me to be her bridesmaid at her wedding next summer (baby will be about 8 weeks) this is fine and no problem as we can make that work easy enough.

Issue is, she wants her hen do when baby will be about 2 weeks old...we still haven't told anyone, and even after this I don't want to tell anyone until our 12 week scan and we know everything is okay..

Just trying to figure out the logistics of going to a hen party with a 2 week old...considering having our own hotel room and bringing DH along to look after baby, then I can nip backwards and forwards as will be BFing...

I'm so tempted to tell her, but don't want to jinx this baby... Sad

Sixisthemagicnumber · 02/11/2016 16:47

mrs potato I am in the 35+ bracket and I am worried about consultant led care etc. I was 35 when I had dc3 and my downs risk came back at 1 in 35,000 so I am trying to stay positive and hope it is low this time around too. The worst thing is knowing that I will need to take clexane (sp?) for 5 days after giving birth (you have to take it if you have 2 risk factors for blood clots and mine will be my age and having more than 2 children). It has to be objected in the stomach daily for 5 days and I'm not sure i can handle injecting myself. I got away with it last time because I was just 35 and not over 35.

Sixisthemagicnumber · 02/11/2016 16:51

A hen do will be tough with a two week old oliver. My last baby would scream at that age if I wasn't around for more than 5 minutes. If you plan to breastfeed then that just adds another problematic element as babies can cluster feed constantly at that age so Nipping back to the room to do feeds might not be as easy as it sounds. Plus you might still feel sore and be bleeding at that stage , especially if baby comes a bit late. Hopefully your sister will understand when the time comes if you need to miss the hen do. It's okay to be chief bridesmaid even if you can't make the hen do.

MrsPotatoHead80 · 02/11/2016 16:55

Oh Six that sounds pretty grim but it's only for 5 days so hopefully won't be too awful.
Did you do the private NIPT testing? I didn't even know this existed until a week ago Blush. I have my booking in appointment tomorrow so am going to talk through with the midwife, I just don't want to go in sounding completely clueless iyswim

Hellooooo jumping in late here!!!!! Just found this!! In due June 3rd 😍😍

MrsPotatoHead80 · 02/11/2016 16:59

Welcome Kirsten Smile

Sixisthemagicnumber · 02/11/2016 17:00

No mrspotato we just had the normal NHS nuchal fold and blood test but we would have done the NIPT test if I had come back as high risk.

oliversmummy26 · 02/11/2016 17:05

I think you're probably right six I'm planning on an elective section too as had emergency with my last, so two weeks post surgery probably isn't the best time to be on a hen party!!

I might have to arrange something with her separately for before the baby comes I reckon...

oliversmummy26 · 02/11/2016 17:06

Oh and I had to inject myself after my DS was born when I got home, but in the thigh not the stomach...? It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, I'd primed my ex (his dad) to do it for me at the time, but actually when it came down to it it was fine.

MrsPotatoHead80 · 02/11/2016 17:14

At what point do they do the nuchal fold Six?
DH doesn't want to tell DD until we've had the results but i'm desperate to tell her...because i'm pretty sure she's going to guess soon!

HazyHazyJeans · 02/11/2016 17:25

Hopefully the bit of blood is nothing to worry about vegan

Welcome kirsten

olivers I must admit, I don't think there's any chance I'd be going on a hen doo 2 weeks post-partum. And of course, you could go overdue so it could be even less! Not sure what the best solution is for you Confused

Sixisthemagicnumber · 02/11/2016 17:26

They did it at the 12 week scan with me last time potato and then they took the blood the same day (it's a combined test) and we got the results about 5 days later in he post. I have heard that some areas take the blood a week before the scan so that they can give you the results on the day of the scan.

Masweetpea1 · 02/11/2016 17:39

vegan, hope you're ok. I've had a bit of brown blood today, so also panicking. Hoping its just this bleed.

I had injections for 42 days after my dd, due my age and i lost a lot of blood. It was ok*, dh did it for me but i was black and blue. It was in my thighs and my bum (fleshy areas according to the doctor...... Errrr thanks!!)

Hermano · 02/11/2016 17:42

Thanks for letting me in. Not to lower the tone... does anyone have absolutely buckets of discharge? Well not buckets but a lot more than pre pregnancy. I'm sopping!

Just me or are we all embarrassed by our knickers at the end of the day? I got my lady trimmer out oday s I as growing stalactites in my pubes Blush

MumofthreeandBean · 02/11/2016 17:57

LMAO hermano !!!!
Yes to more discharge and knicker changing!!

six & oliver
Stop scaring me!! I will be 38 when baby arrives, I've heard random bits about tests but I have not read up!!
My friend, who has 5 children, told me about this injection, but why do we have it?? Do we have to!? Is it because we've had more kids or because we are over 35?
I'm not keen on needles, my mum is insulin dependant and I can't even inject her!!
Too scared to read up, :( midwife hasn't mentioned anything yet.

MumofthreeandBean · 02/11/2016 17:59

Sorry - think above was for potato

I'm all of a fluster!!
