kiki that's awful she sounds like she shouldn't be doing that job anymore with no compassion

Shellbell0403 · 28/10/2016 18:48

I got it confirmed today... I finish up work on the 16th Dec!! So excited 😁😁

Shared this on the fb page also.... out with DH tonight and was absolutely bursting for the toilet... love that relief you get when you eventually get t the toilet!! Haha... feels like the best pee ever!!

kikisdelivery · 28/10/2016 20:50

Thank you ladies, I know I have been a bit twitchy about movements and so on but I was also under the impression that 25 weeks was a reasonable time to have legitimate concerns! She sounded incredibly harrassed and spoke to me as if I was a pest (her full sentence was that I had to do the 2 hours/10 movements thing "because we have a full delivery unit tonight and our waiting area is also full, we close in an hour so you'll have a long wait if you come here").

This is going to sound very judgemental and I know there are tens of thousands of very caring young folks out there, but she sounded very young and was completely unreassuring in every way!

But anyway, enough of her! Who do I need to message about the facebook group? I'm brave enough to reveal the "real" me to you now, so would like to join if someone reminds me how? Smile

twocatsandatoddler · 28/10/2016 21:15

Kiki you can PM someone in the group with your email address and they can add you via your email. You can try me and I'll see I can figure out how to add someone! Otherwise Wispaxmas can definitely add people.

kikisdelivery · 28/10/2016 21:22

Ok! PM'ed you twocats, let's give it a go!

twocatsandatoddler · 28/10/2016 21:26

Kiki you should have an email inviting you to the group!

OP posts:
kikisdelivery · 28/10/2016 21:43

Got the invite! But the link has expired, according to facebook Sad - when I follow it, it says it's expired or contains content I'm not able to view. Hmmm! Thwarted by technology!

twocatsandatoddler · 28/10/2016 21:46

Hmm, strange. I've resent it. Otherwise you could try wispa or I can try adding you as a friend via email and then add you in.

Kiki and Twocats I didn't know there was a fb group. I'd like to join too, if it is working now?

Had such a lovely evening last night. It was the anniversary of when DH and I first met each other. He bought me beautiful sunflowers like we had at our wedding (no idea how he got hold of them, it's nearly November!) and put on our wedding song, we were dancing around the kitchen Smile then he cooked a three course meal with all my favourite food. I'd really been struggling with exhaustion this week and all this made me feel really emotional, thinking about how lucky we are, and how much every part of life has changed since we first found each other. And how much there is to look forward to now!

Happy weekend everyone Smile

twocatsandatoddler · 29/10/2016 08:31

PM me your email address One. We worked out that it has to be the primary one connected to FB account for it to work.

Thanks twocats! Done Smile

MummyKirsty78 · 29/10/2016 20:56

Evening all 👋👋
Wow that was a lot of clicking to find the end of these chats 😂😂😂
Just popped by to say hi as I'm due baby No.3 Feb 26th 2017 👦🏼👧🏼👶🏻

Shellbell0403 · 29/10/2016 22:30

Welcome aboard mummy

divadee · 30/10/2016 07:49

Morning ladies.

Hope everyone is doing ok. Going to finally start the nursery this week. Which will be another messy job as need a plasterer etc..... Hoping it won't be too hard though

Shellbell0403 · 30/10/2016 08:06

Morning 😀

diva want to come and do mine? Haha...

Anyone's baby going quiet? I can't concentrate on baba, between the dog and my step DDS! Lol xx

CeeCeeEnnEss · 30/10/2016 08:27

I can't work out how to send a PM!!!!

ScottishSnowflake · 30/10/2016 08:47

Hi CeeCee, you can't off the app. I have to log on via the computer to send a PM and find it easier to click on the username I want to sent it to and then select send PM rather than just going into messages and trying to find the username!

Welcome mummy!

HighSparrow · 30/10/2016 09:52

Hi everyone (waves!)
Not sure if anyone remembers me but I was on the earlier threads, but forgot my email address and was too lazy to register again but have continued to stalk follow these threads.
I'm 24 weeks (time has flown!) and shell yes I've noticed a slow down in movements too. MW not too concerned as there's still movement, apparently baby doesn't get into a routine for another few weeks.

Are you all now on fb group? My fb and mumsnet emails aren't linked..due to previous security fears on this site I've kept them separate. Does that mean I won't be able to join? :(

MarjorySunshineDust · 30/10/2016 09:57

Hello high sparrow I remember you! If you private message your Facebook email I will try to add you to the group, not sure if any member can add people or just admin. You will be sent an email via fb with a link to join.

MummyKirsty78 · 30/10/2016 10:38

I spoke to a Midwife a couple of weeks ago as all movement stopped and I was informed that they're not concerned until you hit the 28week mark. Shock

kikisdelivery · 30/10/2016 12:15

Hi mummy, welcome! And High Sparrow - I remember you too!

Mummy earlier on in this thread - a few pages back - I was saying just that; the midwife, when I phoned the delivery ward concerned about movement, basically told me to count 10 kicks over 2 hours (which I believe is old advice now) and said they would only "listen in" anyway. She in fact told me to go to my GP in the morning if I still had concerns! I wasn't that thrilled, as you can imagine - all ended up being fine, but I dread to think if I'd have been more naive and didn't have other resources to hand like the advice from ladies here and stuff like the Tommy's site.

LondonGirl83 · 30/10/2016 13:07

Morning ladies! The nursery is pretty much now decorated. I still need to get a good laundry hamper and video monitor but all the big stuff is in and all the decorations are finally up :)

If anyone has a recommendation for a small laundry hamper or a good video monitor, I'd welcome them!

I've joined the Facebook group but as I hardly use Facebook its blocked at work and I never post on it anyhow I have no idea how active you ladies are on there.

Off to the garden centre this afternoon to sort some plants for my window box as well as replace a rose plant that we've decided just grows to much to keep (it keeps destroying our fence)!

Hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend.

Oneiroi · 30/10/2016 15:09

London the motorola video monitors are good. The cameras can turn, picture quality is decent and it's good to be able to see the baby so you don't go in a disturb them if they are just restless but not actually awake!

We bought one of these laundry bins because it's metal and you can remove the fabric lining, so will be much easier to wash out and keep clean!

Oneiroi · 30/10/2016 15:48

I so wiped out that after breakfast in bed I fell back asleep and was still out off the count when DH got back from work. We've now decided to watch the football in bed rather than go to the gym. Ages since I had a day where I didn't bother to get up! Smile Need to make the most if it while it's still an option...

MummyKirsty78 · 30/10/2016 16:05

We used the Motorola one mentioned with my youngest and will be using again this time Smile
How do I go about joining the Facebook group - I'm ALWAYS popping by FB lol GrinGrin
