Fending for myself tonight, OH is out with work playing dodge ball at Jump Nation! (team bonding)

As I have no appetite whatsoever any suggestions for my tea?

Avoiding spice as heartburn is so bad it makes me feel sick and avoiding salty foods as my tingly fingers get worse in the evening.

I am hopeless these days picking meals! Sad not even hungry in the slightest. I would be satisfied with a pint of milk lol

Butterpuff · 19/10/2016 16:42

I'm fending for myself tonight as well. DH is away with work. Me and DD went to M&S yesterday and picked up a readymeal for me. DD is fed at nursery today so she will just have cheese crackers and grapes.

If I were feeding myself id go for something bland and comforting like macaroni cheese.

If your not hungry, how about something on toast.

Carolann8584 · 19/10/2016 16:54

Bread doesn't help my heartburn either. Although the thought of something Pasta based doesn't make me feel ewwww so that's a start Smile thanks.

We've been to the chip shop Blush

Had a look at roams with my mum today as she's offered to buy it for us.

Thinking about the Silver Cross Pioneer. Anyone got any opinions on it?

MissClarke86 · 19/10/2016 19:55

That was meant to say prams.

MotherofA · 19/10/2016 20:21

I had a silver cross with my DD and it was really good quality x

MissClarke86 · 19/10/2016 20:45

Yeah I'm really impressed with the quality for the price.

MotherofA · 19/10/2016 21:02

I googled it and it looks like a modernised version of the one I had . The carrycots are so snug it looks lovely x

ahsan · 19/10/2016 21:03

MotherofA

Interesting as with all of my pregnancies I vomited all the way through, think it's something to do with me being very hormonal though but I don't no could be wrong.

ahsan · 19/10/2016 21:07

Butterpuff

Love the M&S macaroni cheese 😊

NameChange30

My name isn't on the spreadsheet, I tried to update but can't oh well. Anyone else suffering with iron issues.

NameChange30 · 19/10/2016 21:21

ahsan
What device are you using? Unless you have the Google Sheets app, you will probably need to use a desktop (rather than tablet or mobile) to edit the spreadsheet. Please try a desktop, but if you still have no luck feel free to let me know your details (EDD, age, DC#, scan date, etc) and I'll add you x

MotherofA · 19/10/2016 21:32

Ahsan, not sure why I'm not as sick as last time but I'm certainly glad ! I have got acne in this and my last pregnancy though ! Although it is not severe like it was first time around . Perhaps my being 10 years older than last time is something to do with it ?

ahsan · 19/10/2016 22:55

Maybe MotherofA was hoping I wouldn't be as ill this time but looks like that's not going to happen for me as midwife is saying I have low iron and got piles too 😭. Last time had thrush with my daughter and was dizzy with blurred vision so know going down the same route again after 😊
Namechanger I'll try on my laptop 😊 And thanks

charlybs · 20/10/2016 08:11

Ahsan are you taking a vitamin tablet? I have always been borderline anaemic with low iron but magically my levels were classed as good at my last bloods. I've been taking a Seven Seas pregnancy vitamin since TTC and suppose it must be that!

OP posts:
NameChange30 · 20/10/2016 08:14

I've heard that Floradix (liquid iron formula) is very good?

ahsan · 20/10/2016 09:37

I'm taking pregnacare plus charlybs and namechanger 😊

charlybs · 20/10/2016 10:06

Hmmm! What about constantly munching spinach like a baby dinosaur? Haha Grin

OP posts:
Carolann8584 · 20/10/2016 11:33

I was on Seven seas but taking the tablets started to make me feel sick so stopped taking and started on Pregnacare

Anybody having weird dreams?

I haven't but my OH has! He's been dreaming a lot that we are having baby girl lots of different scenarios, taking her to the park with the boys, swimming, reading bedtime stories etc . He says he has no preference as long as baby in healthy which is the same for me. Do you think as he already has 2 boys subconsciously he wants daddy's little girl?

Also 19 weeks today! Yay! I have a Game Boy inside me lol (less painful then a hedgehog Smile)

MotherofA · 20/10/2016 12:00

Oh not ahsan that's how I was in the first pregnancy ! I really feel for you :( .
Does anyone else not feel much movement ? Not sure if it's me not noticing or thinking it's gas but I think I felt more the first time around ?
Also does anyone have any opinions on sterilisers ? Electric or microwave and does any steriliser fit any brand of bottle ? I know nothing haha .

BeccaSays · 20/10/2016 12:54

MotherofA my sister had a microwave steriliser and it was great! I did a bit of investigation and found Mam bottles...they have great reviews and self sterilise in the microwave so you don't need a separate unit! However, I'm hoping to breastfeed so wondering if I'll need a unit to sterilise a breast pump?

Carolyn I'm terrible for sleep talking anyway but the other day I got out of bed and DP says I was talking about having to find pineapples!! And having vivid dreams. I dreamt our regional manager was a commonwealth swimming gold medallist...she loved that!

MotherofA · 20/10/2016 13:05

Beccasays you could probably sterilise pump bits in a pan of boiling water or with Milton fluid in a sterilised bowl so if you have self sterilising bottles I would try and avoid the clutter of a steriliser Smile
I have bought some Dr Browns bottles ( couldn't resist the pink ones ) so might stick to the Dr Browns steriliser to be sure they fit although DH wants us to get an electric one .

Carolann8584 · 20/10/2016 13:35

Should I be taking a class on breast feeding? I intend to give it a good go so should probably get to know a bit more about it shouldn't I?

So far after a google I understand how long I can store the milk for at different temps but that's as far as I've got. Oh and I got some free breast milk bags in an Emma's Diary pack.

MotherofA · 20/10/2016 13:56

Carolann, I breast fed my first and had no idea what I was doing . They just shoved her on there and it kind of happened ! I did have a midwife give me a brief talk on "how to" . I bet you could find everything you need online to be fair . All I would say is the first week is very painful I had blisters on my nipples but if you stick through that part it's pretty easy after that .

Carolann8584 · 20/10/2016 14:23

Did another search but found a paragraph that started with how to deal with cracked nipples and quickly shut down the page, maybe have another look later Sad made me cringe a bit(lot)
