Thanks for the replies. That definitely makes me feel a bit better.

You would think having 2 DC already I would know the answer but with DS I had practically no symptoms and with DD I was sick from 5 weeks and near enough all the way through the pregnancy. It didn't let up at all.

Perhaps I'm having an alien this time Wink Grin

Hi Lorrie and anyone else I missed who are just joining us.

MoosMummy11 · 27/09/2016 21:44

Hi everyone, I'm new here. Only found out I'm pregnant on Thursday. Haven't had a scan so don't have an actual due date but midwife is going with the end of May beginning of June. Hope everyone is okay Smile x

ImogenTubbs · 27/09/2016 21:50

Catching up with the new thread. Just back from dating scan at 8+2, everything measuring on track at 8 weeks exactly, intrauterine and heart rate at 162bpm. Didn't sleep much last night stressing about the scan so off to have a nice long nap now before work. On the iPad so can't figure out how to add myself to the list, EDD 8/5/16 if anyone can kindly add me? (or I'll get laptop out later and try to remember my password).

PeachIcedT · 27/09/2016 22:18

July I've not had too many symptoms, mainly just very sore boobs and stomach has expanded but almost no nausea - which by this point I'd thought I would. I don't quite want to wish for nausea, but in some way it would be reassuring! It's good yours is in the evenings so it hopefully isn't present at work.

I'm leaning towards using my own leave for the appointment, just to keep the secret for a little longer. Also have scan date of November 1st.

Welcome to all the new thread joiners!

Badgerbird · 27/09/2016 22:31

Can see why you'd decide on the cvs hanflan. Thanks for those pages lullaby, interesting reading.

Thanks for your kind words sonnet
Fingers crossed for all of us!! Smile

Badgerbird · 27/09/2016 22:37

Oooh and so lovely to see scan pics! Very exciting Smile
I also have symptoms that come and go, some days better/worse than others, kinda good to see I'm not alone.

And hello to all the new peeps xx

Adventuregame · 28/09/2016 09:36

Urgghhh I've got a cold now - not a lot you can take either right ? Just got to suffer it out !

Sonnet18 · 28/09/2016 09:49

I've got a cold too. So does DD and DH...it's pretty miserable! No pregnancy symptoms really for me today. Looking forward to my scan on Sunday as, even though I know symptoms come and go, I need a bit of reassurance!

talulahbelle · 28/09/2016 10:08

I've just had my 7 week scan, one lovely healthy bean.
Pic on the Facebook group.

So relived. I'm booked in with the midwife on 11th now, not too long to wait.

AnneLovesGilbert · 28/09/2016 10:16

That's wonderful talulahbelle, you saw your baby! Was that a private scan? Sorry, just can't keep up there's so much going on here!

Exciting for yours on Sunday Sonnet! Sorry about your colds Sonnet and Adventure. Hope you're on the mend soon. Not much you can take but you could steam your face over hot water. Might help a bit.

I started reading The Gentle Birth Method last night, it's interesting! Lots to think about. I saw it recommended on another thread. Has anyone done it? She's got some stuff on Spotify which I listened to as well.

I'm shattered today. But I'm feeling pretty well. Symptomy enough for peace of mind - massive boobs, yawning, weeing every half an hour and on/off queasiness, but feeling pretty good.

hanflan · 28/09/2016 10:21

Can somebody please add me to the fb group?! The lady we were supposed to pm is not on this thread, or at least I can't find her?

I've got an awful feeling that something is wrong with this pregnancy. Just can't shake this feeling. My symptoms have pretty much disappeared. This time last time I was throwing up constantly so at least I felt very pregnant!
Midwife is sending me for an early scan, I am yet to hear from them though so not sure when!

AnneLovesGilbert · 28/09/2016 10:27

Sorry you're feeling like things aren't right hanflan. How far along are you and how long have you been without symptoms? I hope your midwife is being supportive and you get a scan quickly and some reassurance that all is well Flowers

Other people on here have said they've had completely different experiences with different pregnancies, so you might just be lucky to be symptom free at the moment x

hanflan · 28/09/2016 10:30

anne I'm 9+3 today and I'd say they have been gradually disappearing for the past week! I feel like a fraud now haha I don't feel pregnant at all.

peasandquiet · 28/09/2016 10:44

6 weeks today and the nausea has really stepped up, was really hoping it would be different this time around! Lovely to hear that some of you are having scans and there a strong little babies in there.

MissMooMoo · 28/09/2016 10:49

I'd like to be in the fb group too, I did PM the lady who was organising it a few days ago but haven't received a fb request.

Symptoms for me are a wee around 3am each night followed by nasua. Last night i felt so sick i sat on the bathroom floor and had to call DH to come rescue me as everytime I stood up I was dizzy.

Spam88 · 28/09/2016 10:59

Place marking :)

ImYourWomanJonSnow · 28/09/2016 11:03

Oh my god I have to moan to someone, please indulge me.

Have a stressful job, high attention to detail type of thing, yet am so tired, anxious and my brain is a splodge. Only 5+4 today, honestly don't know how I'm going to survive the rest of this trimester without making a massive cockup. I wish I worked in Mad Men type of office where I could just close the door and have a nap on the sofa.

CinnamonTwist · 28/09/2016 11:12

hanflan I have been worrying as my symptoms are much better today, I'm around 9-10 weeks, so I'm glad to hear this may be normal! I'm so paranoid after last time, I really need to relax but it's so hard to switch my head off IYKWIM.

hanflan · 28/09/2016 11:17

cinnamon interesting that you are similar and we are sort of the same point in pregnancy! Maybe it's normal to feel better around now and I just had a proper crappy time of it last time?! I was being sick until 23 weeks last time!

lullaby23 · 28/09/2016 11:23

You can pm me and I'll try adding you to the FB group?

I don't think it will be long before I join the 3am wee crew, I make it to 7 but have to leap out of bed pretty sharpish!

CinnamonTwist · 28/09/2016 11:24

Hanflan I just googled and apparently the placenta starts taking over around this time which can lead to a reduction in symptoms... it's what I am trying to keep telling myself anyway! We will probably both feel crap again tomorrow and wonder why we were missing it so much Wink

hanflan · 28/09/2016 11:33

Ahhhhh that's good to know! Good old placenta ;)

hanflan · 28/09/2016 11:34

lullaby I have messaged you :)
